Another chart rule to consider. On 4/12/2010 a Beatles box set consisting of Beatles 1962-1966 and Beatles 1967-1970 entered the Top 100 albums charts at no. 59. Will the 2023 4 CD box set and the 6 LP box set be combined as a re-entry, and added to the above chart run of 5 weeks? The OCC would hardly divide sales by 2 and add them to the individual Red and Blue albums?

Perhaps some streaming platforms have different data collection days around the world and maybe their week starts on a Thursday instead of a Friday. I’m sure there is a good reason why APPLE decided on a UK release on a Thursday.

Last week, they celebrated their 14th UK Number 1 album with Hackney Diamonds, their first album of new material in 18 years. In reaching the landmark of one billion career UK streams, as calculated by the Official Charts Company, the British band became the longest-active artist to receive the prestigious Award, with their most-streamed hits including Paint It, Black, (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction, and Start Me Up. The Rolling Stones are the 25th artist to receive a BRIT Billion Award, which was officially launched in May 2023.
