Great tracklist and never mind about Abba. No idea why Marvin Gaye is there as it was never a UK hit. Maybe re-issued in .76.

ABBA won’t be on extra unfortunately but Don’t Take Away The Music by Tavares could be on extra even though it technically outsold Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel even though they both peaked at number 4

Heaven...is played far more often on UK radio so guess that's why it made the main album.

A notable absence is a song that has never appeared on CD, a No.2 hit, You Just Might See Me Cry by Our Kid. Dare we hope for it on 1976 Extra?

Not remotely a fan but it’s extraordinary that crying should be seen as some sort of sackable offence. No wonder we end up with so much inauthenticity in politics. Whatever she was upset about, someone should have suggested she sit it out.

It's not the crying but her incompetence at being Chancellor.

  4. For the first time, Starmer refused to back her today but a press release from No.10 did.

Will she jump before being pushed?

She hasn't a lot of room for manoevere to get the 20bn now, without breaking the election pledger of not raising taxes.

After she cried today during PMQ's, can she survive as Chancellor, the job she's held for a year? They say it was for personal reasons but the press aren't buying it. She seems to be being blamed for the defeat last night and now has 20 billion to find without raising taxes. Markets have fallen today. Will she survive as Chancellor?

  6. Both mens and womens finals will start at 4pm from this year. This is said to be in order to get a bigger audience at tea-time on BBC1 and also in the US at 11am East Coast rather than 9am.

Will Nigel Farage be PM in 2029? After a recent poll put them level with Labour the popular press and some electoral experts seem to think he can do it and win around 400 seats. Interesting Ch4. programme last night.

I can't see it myself and think the bubble will burst before then. Labour support will rise again and they'll be re-elected but with a much reduced majority.

I don't mind Blondie and really like some of their songs but don't own any album or GH

not the biggest fan of Billy Joel, find him so over-rated

A lot of his early albums are said to be his best ones but for me it's An Innocent Man. Packed full of hits and great album tracks too.

Yeah Iran fired a bunch of missiles at US bases in Iraq and Qatar just been confirmed. If US causalities then Trump will have to respond

No casualties but the US is monitoring this closely and Trump's in the situation room with his top advisers. Most US servicemen were in underground bunkers. If one US servicemen dies you can bet Trump will annhilate Iran.

NO. This needed doing. Well done America. Iran cannot be allowed to develop nukes. I bet you Vance would have done the same so careful what you wish for.

  11. This is very bad. 242 on board including many families returning from holiday. 52 Britons. One survivor. Could be over 100 on ground, trainee Dr's.who were eating lunch at the time.

Worst death toll ever - Tenerife 1977 when 2 planes collided and burst in to fames. 583 dead.
