I really enjoyed it yet over on Digital Spy they're not impressed at all and tearing it to shreds. Don't know what they want. The story's good and it's quite scary. Van Helsing's a woman lol.
One post :" No. It is very not good. Weird modern dialogue in historical context, bizarre acting and borderline incomprehensible plot. Me and everyone I am watching this with are very bored which is possibly the most damning verdict."
They don't seem to like anything though.
Well I liked it and people who saw it at a joint BBC/BFI preview on Monday gave it good reviews too.

The method to decide who wins a tied electoral college is also prone to ties (iirc it's decided by congress but done on a state by state basis rather than individual members so it could theoretically come out 25-25). CGP Grey made a video about it. xI don't even want to imagine a world in which the 2020 election is tied though.
If you read the rules and procedures carefully it could even come down to neither becoming President if Congress can't agree, but someone else, say one of the VP candidates or even the Speaker getting it as a sort of unifying candidate if that could be agreed.

Richard Burgon was the Labour representative on the Question Time panel when an audience member was denouncing the party's income tax policy. He claimed that his £80K salary didn't even put him in the top 50% of earners let alone the top 5%. Poor Burgon simply didn't seem to know how to respond to such complete ignorance.
Yeah remember that very well. Only a few weeks ago actually.
