Abortion Law in the USA
Just to correct you. Hillary got over a million more votes than Trump, yes, but that's not what decides who becomes President. It's the Electoral College and he won that. I believe it's wrong too. Should go on majority of votes cast.

By-elections 2024
All Governments become unpopular and lose mid-term by elections. This is nothing new. The Tories will be returned to power with an increased majority in 2024. I'm confident of it. They'd be foolish to dump Boris too as he's a proven vote winner.

How Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill became a No.1 contender
What better time than now for a new Kate CD hits compilation. Okay I know CD's don't sell but it would shift a fair few and downloads too. Christmas, Kate? Loads of tracks since 1986's The Whole Story.

Now That's What I Call Music! Thread [Part 6]
Now Yearbook 1980 has a great tracklist. Fantastic. Will buy that. Now will they go back to '79 next? The 70's is my favourite era.

How long will Boris last as PM?
So would you like to know what I think. Good result and keeps Boris as PM hopefully to win another full term in 2024. I agree with what one MP said on TV yesterday. Boris has done far more good things as PM than bad things. Of course the biggest thing we must thank him for is doing the public's wished and getting us out of the nasty EU. Hopefully we can still win the next election cos the alternative is horrendous. Starmer hasn't a clue.

Energy costs set to increase by 54%
EVERYONE gets AT LEAST £400 off bills. Pensioners and those on means-tested benefits get more.

Energy costs set to increase by 54%
Yes but it's summer now so you don't need any heating on. Mine's off now until October. Cold one morning? Put another jumper on. Only run washing machines and dishwashers when full. Shower less. No-one needs to shower every day. Once a week is fine for me with facial washes every day in between. Lots of ways to save. Lights are said to not use a lot but every little adds up. Don't leave your TV on stand-by all night. Something like £5 a year I read. :D

Energy costs set to increase by 54%
At least be grateful we're all getting at least £400. Even when they do something good you lot here bash them. It's just pathetic.

How much longer can Biden carry on?
Probably his worst speech yet a few days ago in which he stumbled and stuttered whilst attempting to threaten Russia. He's obviously suffering from dementia as experts have pointed out. He had two brain aneurysms in his life. In the US you're not allowed to serve in the armed forces if you have any history of brain aneurysms. So why can you become President then? How long until he's persuaded to stand down and hand over to Harris. Americans are now calling for Biden to to take a mental cognitive test with the promise of the true results made public and his immediate resignation should he fail. Trump took one and scored the maximum 30. Haven't posted this because I thought Trump should have won but there is genuine concern over Biden now. Sky News ran a piece today.

Royal Family discussion Thread
It's thought people may take the day off if she goes in the night and it's announced at 8am.or leave early if it's announced later in the day. Schools may be half day too but back next day. Official Bank Holiday is funeral day only and days of Charles' Coronaton.

So do I, for the very heinous crimes. Multiple murders and killers of kids, with no provocation.

Royal Family discussion Thread
So Harry and Meghan stopped off here on their way to The Hague and the Invictus games to visit The Queen and see Charles. This has prompted speculation that she's more ill than has been reported and she won't attend Easter mass. Hope she makes her Jubilee in June.

Energy costs set to increase by 54%
If prices were going up 54% then how come SSE has emailed me to say their rate per kw for gas is now 7.51p, up from 3.95p. Seen others saying the same thing. Surely they can't do that. British Gas 7.17p. Am gong to contact the ombudsman.

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
Why did she have no carer on Friday morning John? Have you found out yet? May not just be shortages but she could have had an emergency like arriving at the previous patient to find someone collapsed or dead. I'm not claiming to know anywhere near as much as you about this subject but my mum had carers for two years. Once when I was there the morning carer didn't come. She'd got to the lady before, let herself in and she was dead in bed. :( So she'd to contact her boss and lady's daughter. They waited for police and a Dr. who said she had to as she was the one who found her. We couldn't really complain when it was out of her hands. As the above poster said, it's not just Brexit and it's very unfair on us Brexiteers to say it is.

The Russia Political Thread
So how many will you take in then? Just curious. Is that £350 each person as no way would it be enough for a family as they'll eat about that a month in food.

The Russia Political Thread
Did anyone see the young mother and two young daughters, around 6, 7, arrested and thrown in a call for daring to leave a message and flowers outside the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow? Awful.

The Russia Political Thread
Why would it start WWIII? Putin is a tyrant and a bully so it needs someone to stand up to him. Don't think Biden's the man though. :(

The Russia Political Thread
Piers Morgan, writing in The Sun, has said the answer to this is the US taking out the Russian forces in Ukraine but Biden is too weak to do it. A strong US President would. He should launch US air strikes where it hurts and knock all Putin's forces out in and around Ukraine. What will he do then? He won't use nukes as that guarantee Russia's destruction too. America could end this swiftly within hours. On and order the CIA to kill Putin. I agree. Hit them hard and fast. Where's Dubya when you need him!
