Well I didn't discuss it with her but she was trying to persuade Nita not to have it either.

Wife's employer is actually a microbiologist who develops new drugs but wasn't involved with any Covid ones. She didn't have either dose, much to the annoyance of her husband who had them. She said she knows how long it usually takes to develop a new drug and these were just developed too fast. Her sister's a GP and begged her to have it. She got Covid quite bad, is 58, and then as soon as she was better she had the jab. :o

I see Khan's declared a state of emergency in London. He says there'll be no police, firefighters or binmen working soon. It's all scaremongering. We don't know anyone who has Omicron. No-one. A nurse at Newham hospital that we know says it's not as bad as they make out. Certainly nowhere near as bad as last year.

Wife says same in London! She goes out more than me and travels by tube to work every day to save petrol as she has a free travel pass like me. She says some wear masks but by no means all and same in shops. I think maybe people are just fed up of them now.
