  1. What's the answer though? The government has said in the past that we just can't afford to protect all 650 MP's 24/7 with armed protection officers like the PM, Home Sec, Defence Sec. and N. Ireland Sec. have.
  2. A 25 year-old man arrested at the scene by a police armed response team. Sky say he made no attempt to escape really.
  3. BREAKING NEWS. David Amess 69, murdered in his constituency office in front of workers and constituents, before armed police officers storm surgery and arrest a 25 year-old man at gunpoint. He was married with 5 children and his wife was his case worker and secretary in his constituency office. He had some minor roles in the 90's Commons, so called "bag-carrier" to Ministers including Edwina Currie. Never was bothered about being a minister though. Content to just serve his constituents. Brings back sad memories of Jo Cox and also our MP, Stephen Timms, who was stabbed badly but survived. :(
  4. Wife's employer, the lady, and daughter, 16 are both Covid positive so she's not going there for a week now. Think the lass got it in 6th Form as loads are off with it. Her mum refused to be vaccinated and is quite ill, 58. EDIT. She says she'll have the jab when she's better.

    My favourite Adele song.
  6. We're very upset here as wife's niece in Philippines, 48, has died of Covid. :( She was double-jabbed too. Hasn't had it long and was only in hospital 4 days. She had a top job at Morgan Stanley in the US. She was very high risk as she was very very overweight.
  7. Yes. Anyone seen the pics of the tons of crates of cider being delivered and crates and crates of wine and champagne? Enough for a full army!

She'll sell a lot more than Ed first week. ;)

Yes everyone knows Adele, as well as Ed, will sell more, both first week and altogether as they're currently the two biggest acts. A bit like Abba in 1976 to 1979. I bet you Abba does 200k+ first week though. Some industry insiders are thinking 250k+. It's going to be a big first week for them and sell well up to Christmas. The question is whether Ed will beat them in his second week.
  10. Out Oct 28th. All the facts and figures behind every Christmas No.1. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1788705...63c80d297508abe

Adele now rumoured to be 3rd December.
  12. That's because the stupid TV news last night said there's a shortage. There isn't, just some logistical problems getting it to the pumps. Only real shortages in certain areas. Now the panic buyers will mean shortages. Same with food.

Yes she's lied to Ty. May not be his though. Cue her return one day with baby in tow......
  17. BUMP. I was very annoyed when the BEP's Where Is The Love beat White Flag to No.1. :( Life For Rent is even better than No Angel which was saying something.
  18. Great album. I love every track. 10/10 for me. On this occasion the 3m UK sales don't lie.
  19. I wish to complain to a moderator about this post. OH.....` :D I just find metric too complicated. Say my GP tells me I'm so many stone and need to lose weight I understand that but if she says the equivalent in kilos I haven't a clue how many stones that is. :(
  20. Hope not. It's great. I've always been a pounds and ounces man. Can't understand the grams and kilograms and metres. Inches and feet every time too. A pound of apples Sir.
  21. To be honest Michael and the rest of you, I don't worship them otherwise I'd join the party. I just think they're the lesser of two evils and are best for the country at present. Labour's turn will come again. It goes in cycles.
  22. I like Liz. She's honest, has done her previous jobs very well and is quite popular in my party. Could be next Home Secretary.
  23. Vaccine? Natural immunity? More people in the country haven't had it than have had it.

Corrie bosses are to stage a disaster so massive it will rival the tram crash which rocked Weatherfield in 2010 – leaving one regular dead. The grand-scale stunt will see a return of the sinkhole that appeared in the Platts' back garden a year ago. As she celebrated Corrie being named best soap at the National TV Awards, actress Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin, declared: “It's going to be so big it will rival the tram crash. You're going to have your socks blown off.” Show boss Iain Macleod said the move to stage a major “cinematic” disaster was a way of celebrating the end of the pandemic. “It's going to be really huge - there's loads of emotion, there's loads of big spectacle – it's going to be cinematic.“ It's a statement of intent that we wanted, as a show, to put out there - to make something we couldn't possibly have made in the past 18 months because the pandemic wouldn't allow it. He said the sinkhole's return would leave one character dead. “When you do a story of a certain scale and at a certain level of spectacle the viewers expect there to be significant aftermath to it and significant outcomes. "So yes, I can confirm that Chekhov's sinkhole will result in a death.” Celebrating the soap's hat-trick of gongs at the National TV Awards, he said: “Our team are the hardest working, most talented, most dedicated people in the business.
