By-elections 2024
Michael obviously no Tory win is excellent for you as you're a Labour supporter. For us Tories and Boris fans it is a great result. You have the wrong leader AGAIN. Starmer just doesn't connect with people and doubt that will change before 2023/24. As was said on BBC News channel earlier, many people still think he's a toff and see him in his Attorney General robes. Boris is just hugely popular no matter what he does. Starmer was pathetic holding the roll of wallpaper. Turned the serious subject of No.10's re-decoration in to a joke. Starmer will lose the next election and Sadiq Khan will be next leader. I actually fancy Andy Burnham as leader and think he connects with people.

By-elections 2024
Excellent Tory win in Hartlepool. Once again Labour have the WRONG leader. Get Sadiq Khan in, seems a vote winner. He'll be the next Labour PM.

Coronation Street
Wasn't too sure about Nina at first but love the character now. The bond between her and Roy will be even stronger after this, assuming she survives, which I think both will. Haven't heard either actors are leaving the show.

Coronation Street
Two great episodes. Apparently class comes in to it later in the year as Corey's rich dad tries to buy his freedom and get others jailed in his place. Many on other forums hate Corey but you've to remember there are guys like him, evil, and sex mad and with no respect for women or anyone else.

Coronation Street
You'll have to wait a long time as it's going on until at least Jan/Feb.

Coronation Street
Big new Corrie storyline starts tonight and set to run all year and in to next year too. This is Corrie's big new storyline of 2021 with lots of twists and turns.

The 1974 Radio One All-Time Top 100
Have you heard his very last album Mystery Girl? If not then why not, as it's brilliant. No duff tracks at all. My fave is California Blue but it's just a solid great album.

The 1974 Radio One All-Time Top 100
I like both It's Over and Only The Lonely better than his most famous song and other No.1 that's overplayed, Oh Pretty Woman.

Derek Chauvin court case
Guilty on all three charges! GOOD. Sentencing in late June. He's going down for many years. Second degree murder carries a 40 year max. sentence. Some US experts predicting 12 year minimum.

Derek Chauvin court case
Verdict due shortly, around 5pm EST so 10pm UK time. The fact the jury's reached a verdict quickly seems to tell commentators that he'll be quilty on one or more charges.

They'll all quarantine upon their return so it's fine.

You're like a stuck record Michael.

OPINION POLLS 2019-2024
I'd go for Andy Burnham as next leader, looking at who's available now.

OPINION POLLS 2019-2024
Hey I strongly object to you calling us clowns. It's those who think we should be still in the restrictive evil EU who are the real clowns.

Coronation Street
ITV has just announced that due to Prince Philip's death, tonight's Corrie is cancelled. A decision yet to be made about Monday's edition.

Derek Chauvin court case
Is anyone following this then? Quite a lot of coverage on Sky News. In to week 2 now and set to last up to 6 weeks. I think he'll either get off and there'll be riots or be found guilty of a lesser charge, say 3rd degree murder. Was interesting yesterday, other serving cops speaking up against him, one of their own. The defence case is that he had a heart problem anyway, shown on autopsy, which meant he could have dropped dead any minute. Co-incidental that it was just then though surely?

Coronation Street
Am loving the Leanne/Simon drug running storyline and Harvey's a great character. Wonder if Alina will leave. Hope she stays, if only to rub Fiz's nose in it every time she sees her.

RIP Tina Turner
Actually, the only song of hers that I dislike is The Best.

Coronavirus Discussion
Has anyone seen the scenes from Brazil where they're digging up graves only 50 years old in Sauo Paulo and taking the bones just to landfill? To make way for Covid victims. Most are buried there, not much cremation. They haven't even asked permission from any living relatives as they do here for graves under 100 years old. Just past an emergency law and done it. Surely Brazil has enough land to make new burial sites without disturbing the dead? Apparently they can't do it on land that's legally owned by the Catholic church as they won't give permission.

Sadly it doesn't work like that though. :( Wish it did. A question. If you could pay to have it tomorrow would you?

Coronation Street
They were obviously brought in to tick the right PC boxes so can't see them got rid of just yet but I'm not keen on them or their stories at all.

Who is your political hero?
As far as I can see no-one's yet mentioned John Smith. Labour leader from 1992 to 1994. Had he lived he would surely have become PM in 1997 with a majority maybe a bit less than Blair's though. Maybe Blair would never have been PM. Instead fate dealt a cruel blow in May 1994 when Smith, a popular Labour leader riding high in the polls, had a massive fatal heart attack in his bathroom. :( I can remember well the newsflashes around 9am that morning as the country was in shock and the glowing tribute from PM John Major in the Commons before it was suspended out of respect. Harriet Harman became acting leader until Blair was elected the new Labour leader. Smith was a popular politician and from what I've read, a lovely man, a gentleman.

Who is your political hero?
 At least I answered the question posed rather than laughing at another person's choices. It's not bait either. Those are my choices at the present time. Tony Blair was an excellent PM too.
