Hancock should resign in my opinion. He's the Health Secretary.

So what do you want from him now? Do you want him to stand trial or something? Resign? As Cabinet ministers have said, you don't change PM's in the middle of a pandemic or war. You tell me. He's not lifting restrictions too early this time.

Well he doesn't think he made mistakes. Others including me do. He could have locked down earlier but the public don't like lockdowns anyway. Eat Out didn't help either.

How could I ignore you. :D I don't need to answer every post. He's learnt as they're not rushing to end the lockdown early this time.

Well the voters didn't share your opinion fortunately Michael.

Are you talking to me? I thought my last post was very clear. We can only learn from our mistakes. We can't turn back the clock.

Okay but he's now learnt from those mistakes. It's great in hindsight isn't it to say he should have done this or that. The current lockdown will be at least 8 weeks with schools not back until March 8th at the earliest and non-essential shops maybe April with hospitality maybe May. He's now not rushing anything which is right.

So a Covid denier, 46, who firmly believed it doesn't exist has died - of COViD. He refused to wear a mask or practise any kind of social distancing. Heartbreak for family as Shropshire artist and 'Covid denier' dies aged 46 By Nick HumphreysShrewsburyCoronavirusPublished: 11 hours agoLast Updated: 5 hours ago The heartbroken family of a Covid-19 denier who died after contracting the virus have urged people to help their loved ones avoid getting swept up in the lies. A talented artist, proudly sharing his work and enjoying that of others over a couple of beers with friends at Shrewbury’s old C21 bar. Those are the fond memories of Gary Matthews that one family member will hold dear, a far cry from the isolated figure swept up in a virtual echo chamber of conspiracies and lies that may well have contributed to his premature death. Gary, from Shrewsbury, died on January 13 after contracting Covid-19. He was just 46, had been ill for a week and tested positive the day before he died. It is not known exactly how he caught the virus, which has killed more than 100,000 people in the UK, but according to his family he did not wear a mask or adhere to safety measures and continued to meet with friends. Gary did not believe the virus was real, and shared in that belief among online forums which refute indisputable facts in favour of theories that suit their own agenda. In a cruel twist of fate, it was the very virus in which he disbelieved that contributed to his death." https://www.shropshirestar.com/news/hea ... s-aged-46/ What you don't know can't kill you.

Steve asked me why I like the Tories so I answered him. Am I not allowed an opinion of a political leader now. You all have plenty of opinions of him.

I know they are but I think Boris is great. Yes his hair is always a mess and he's a bumbling fool and he can't string a sentence together, even I'd say worse than Trump at times, but that's why people love him.

The Official Labour Foot-Shoot Thread, Mk II
Labour should be miles ahead of Boris now with him apparently mucking the pandemic response up. Yet they're not. Why? People still love Boris and Starmer may be a better leader than Corbyn ( well anyone would be!) but IMO He's still not PM material. He has zero personality. For all his faults bumbling Boris has personality and people love that in a politician.

Where am I trolling? I thought that story was worth sharing. It's very sad. Doesn't say whether she went or not.

Well I have as every year I'm forced to attend an assessment and weeks of worry and stress as to whether I'm going to be thrown to the wolves and wrongly told I'm now fit for work. It's running late this time though, usually November.

Yes I know that but why bring my work history in to it? What has when I last worked got to do with anything?

I do think it's a bit low to bring my work history up. Has nothing whatsoever to do with the posts or topic.

No but even though he said families could meet for one day he didn't force anyone did he. A lot still didn't meet up and kept away from relatives for fear of catching it. Any court case for manslaughter would fail before it started. I doubt any solicitor would even take it on.

A 50 year-old woman says that Boris "has blood on his hands" after 4 members of her family all died after meeting up for Christmas day dinner. I'm sorry but, as others are saying too, he didn't force them to meet did he? She says that he gave permission for them to meet in their tier so he's directly responsible. Her partner, both of his parents and uncle, all at the meal, have all since passed away, according to The Mail. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-91...amp;si=24507181 Four members of the same family have died from coronavirus since a Christmas Day meet-up bubble, the grieving partner of one of the victims has revealed Mother-of-three Tracy Latham, 50, says she believes Prime Minister Boris Johnson has 'blood on his hands' after her partner, his parents and his uncle all passed away after catching the disease. The family, who had been shielding since March, met up on Christmas Day after the Government relaxed rules and allowed households to meet for one day only. The pair had been due to get married in July this year after spending 12 years together, during which time Mr Fisher helped raise three of Ms Latham's children from a previous relationship into adulthood. Ms Latham, believes her partner caught the disease when he went to his parents' house in Allenton for just two hours. Over the course of the following week, Mr Fisher, his parents Pat and David Fisher, aged 79 and 82, and his uncle, Michael Wilson, who was in his early 70s, all tested positive for the disease. All of them have now passed away and another of Mr Fisher's uncles, Geoffrey, who also caught the disease is still recovering after becoming seriously ill.

I think all police officers should get the jab as a priority. Five have died from the Met. They can't arrest someone whilst practising social distancing.

Well yes I agree with you.

How are they to blame for deaths though? Do you mean some have died from not wearing masks?

The Tory lies and deceit thread
In an interview with Iain Dale on LBC, former Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, a Keir Starmer supporter, says she believes Boris or whoever is the Tory leader will win the next election. She thinks Starmer's good but a sort of caretaker leader, like another Neil Kinnock really who won't become PM. I agree with her.
