Are you saying all unemployed are vulnerable now? I have been found unfit to do any sort of work, training or anything to do with work.

No am too ill to work actually due to depression. On disability benefits. If I was fit I'd gladly do any kind of job, even clean toilets rather than live on benefits.

Well they'll have to do them if they can't fill them, or have their benefits stopped.

It may get that employers can't get people to do some jobs that EU people do, such as waiting tables, cooking, fruit-picking, cleaning etc etc.

2020 United States Presidential Election Thread
There are calls for Trump to be digitally removed from Home Alone 2. Macauley Culin has backed the idea. They're trying to make out that he never existed, wipe him from history. Well he does exist. They wanted to use the lobby of his hotel for a scene and he agreed but only if he could be in it. Canadian TV removed him from a TV showing in 2019.

The situation in Brazil, especially Manaus, is said to be terrible as they run out of oxygen. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-91...amp;si=23290293 Brazil's new strain of coronavirus is ripping through the Amazon where tearful locals wait desperately for dwindling oxygen supplies to keep their relatives alive and doctors face the wretched task of deciding who can breathe. At one hospital in Manaus, a despairing relative carried an oxygen tank for his own mother-in-law just to help her breathe for another two hours - with one expert describing the city as a 'suffocation chamber'. Healthcare services have 'collapsed' in the Amazon's largest city, where hundreds of patients are being airlifted to other states while non-Covid sufferers are evicted from their beds to make way for those in greater need. But with nearly 500 people still waiting for beds in Manaus, some elderly virus sufferers are being left to die at home.

I'd love it to be President Harris up against either Nikki Haley or Ivanka Trump for the Repubs.

Can't see Biden/Harris being beaten in 2024 anyway. They don't often get two one-termers together,

The Official Labour Foot-Shoot Thread, Mk II
Can see Scotland maybe breaking away from the UK but it'll be 1000 years or more before a united Ireland. The people of N.Ireland want to remain in the UK.

Now! That's What I Call Music | The Thread pt 5
Hmm, there's been one before as I remember my daughter's boyfriend buying me it at Xmas 2017, before she passed away in the coming April. So late 2017. Guess it'll be similar, mix of classic and new country.

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
On News At Ten now he's just said "fishing is proving to be the biggest headache so far of Brexit" So we don't agree here then?

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
They're cash in lieu of school meals. I merely said just a few may spend them on something else. Why castigate me for that. You can't prove that NOBODY would do that.
-
Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
We were discussing school lunch vouchers and not benefits. You can get free school meals on a low income even if you aren't on any benefits.
-
Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
Yes I did but those aren't benefits as such.
-
Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
No. I have never said that.
