Many were social-distancing and it doesn't pass as easily outside. They need the public onside and many on Twitter now saying it's just a means to make money. Lose the public support and that's it.

Police up and down the country slammed for handing out £200 fines today to people out getting some fresh air in the snow and letting their kids play in it and snowball. Just ridiculous.

Coronavirus Discussion
Well my wife was talking to a very upset couple at the undertakers where Rachel's ashes are and their son was only 20 odd and had no prior illnesses or conditions and they swore blind he caught it after a visit to Newham hospital. His mum said he never went anywhere else as he was a recluse and had agoraphobia. That's what has put me off going. Must be in the atmosphere.

Last 5 retro albums
Gold is a sprawling 2 discs though. I hate having to play 2 discs with a lot of filler to get the big hits. Marc Bolan & T.Rex, The Essential with a grey cover, is the best single disc compilation.

Gold is incomplete though with a couple of glaring omissions. The Essential, grey cover, is the best compilation.

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
Sometimes it's hard to back them up though. Like trying to answer the question I'm often asked, here and elsewhere, even in real life: "how will Brexit make anything in the UK better?" Well we don't know as we've only been fully out a month. Ask me in 5 years.

Ford wasn't even elected in the first place so I don't count him really.

Any Republican serious about becoming President won't bother next time. There's never been two successive one-term Presidents.

Thanks Suedy. Will do that tomorrow.

Well I read about a lad, well, 22ish who had been nowhere else but for an X-Ray and died from it. So where else had he caught it iif he'd never been even to a shop? Better safe than sorry. The other stuff can wait.

That's why I'm not going anywhere near the hospital at present. Need an X-Ray on my leg and my diabetic eye screening is overdue but have told them I'm just not going in the present climate.

Coronation Street
Corrie and Emmerdale are both stopping filming for 2 weeks. No plans yet to cut down on the number of episodes shown. I wouldn't mind them going down to 4 a week though.

Yes I fear that could happen but to what extent I don't know.

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
The Financial Times reports that the additional paperwork and haulage costs associated with Brexit are expected to add roughly £1.50 to the price of each and every bottle of wine. So, we won’t even be able to celebrate the “successes” of Brexit without paying a premium for doing so! https://www.ft.com/content/2747ddf8-7f6c-4b...40-36d6c4178203

Coronavirus Discussion
Sky News have a report from Beirut where all hospitals are full to capacity and people are dying on trollies. They had a very strict lockdown enforced by troops but lifted it around Christmas. Now it's out of control. The Red Cross say they've never seen anything like it, even in other countries. :(

Hmm, encumbent VP, very popular although one or two gaffes.

No, many US political forums actually. Those pesky emails. :D Plus she's not a very nice person. The Secret Service said that in their various books by ex agents.

Well I don't want to hark back too much to the past but Hillary did win the popular vote and think the emails sunk her. Was reading some US political forums late last night and that's a commonly held view. I think Biden would have beaten her Trump easily.

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
Yes I think most do believe like you that Leave did win, apart from maybe those like our Michael who thinks the 52-48 is too close, but they do moan about the consequences which of course is their right.

Brexit II: This Time It's Irreversible
Sorry but I have to say this. Yet Trump supporters are supposed to accept a result that they don't believe in. It's the same thing.

No because he apparently abused Dianne Abbott.

No it's not and I resent that accusation. Have mentioned Mick before. He's permanently banned from Twitter and Facebook. No it wasn't that close in the end. I think without Covid Trump would have won. Does anyone think Biden would have won in 2016? I think he'd have beaten Trump.
