I feel now, even as a Trump fan, that Kamala's going to be the next President. The momentum is with her now. Some US pundit on Sky said that she won't win as the US still won't elect a female. Why not? Hillary came close by winning the popular vote but failed to win the popular vote. A popular President in the 50's, Roosevelt I think, said that the first female President will ascend to the office from VP rather than be elected. Both have now agreed to a debate on Sept 10th but Trump wants 3 debates between them in Sept. :o

A lot of disgruntled US democrats on the US political forums I frequent. They're annoyed that they've been denied a proper choice and she's been just installed. They don't see her beating Trump anyway. She may not take the important mid-West swing states for the 270 EC votes she needs, unless she chooses her VP well. Has to be a white male to balance the ticket and preferably from a swing state. I think she may win the popular vote like Hillary did but not the electoral college. Saw one guy say she should pick Taylor Swift and they'd win in a landslide!

Hillary won the popular vote and it wasn't a Trump landslide. Kamala could just do it. Imagine how Trump would feel. Not just losing but to a woman! He's seething with anger with her now it seems.

Kamala's said to be risingh in the polls now and only a point or two behind Trump. This could be very close. Interesting few months ahead now.

Thanks. Couldn't remember the name. Think he died of a heart attack. Biden will be the first one-term President since Trump and before that George HW Bush in 1992. Before that it was Carter who lost to Reagan in 1980. The last one to decide not to seek a second term was Johnson in 1968. Most seek a second term and win one too.

Totally agree. He may as well go now. Let her go in to the election as sitting President. If she lost she wouldn't even be the shortest serving as one died in the 1800's after just a month in office.

As Sky News are saying, one thing about Kamala being the nominee is she's already been vetted, to become VP. Anyone else, including Michelle, needs strict vetting and that takes weeks. Even a minor motoring offence years ago puts an end to it. Tax avoidance, anything at all.

Yes a poll shows she's the only Dem, even though she's female, who could beat Trump, in a landslide. No experience but then Trump didn't have any either.

I read US political forums and the general view today is that Trump will win mainly because the US will still not elect a female President. Hillary failed and so will Kamala. The only way they'll get one is by one ascending from VP which is what I feel should happen now.
