  2. Love Can Build a Bridge is very mid. I don't hate it but it's definitely a bit too close to charity record by numbers territory. I never liked that Outhere Brothers track, although I didn't really try to like it because my Aunt had read that it contained very inappropriate lyrics and was immediately on a quest to make sure none of the family was being subjected to it... I didn't like what I'd heard enough to rebel against that
  3. I have a few potentials for this month, none of which I would expect to do that well and I've known them a little while now. It's one of those months where I'd like to stumble across something amazing that feels fresh to get behind
  4. The component parts of this sentence do not compute
  5. 01 MISS LUXURY - bubbles 02 Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer 03 Nourished By Time - The Passionate Ones 04 James K - Friend 05 Blood Orange - Essex Honey 06 Haim - I Quit 07 Lady Gaga - MAYHEM 08 Wolf Alice - The Clearing 09 Lorde - Virgin 10 CMAT - EURO-COUNTRY
  6. I love Hysteria, it's still one of my favourite Muse tracks now. There's just something really quite driving about the way it progresses and the warped guitar hook is really catchy for me.
  7. Not me finishing in 6th place and still falling! 😆 Although admittedly it's because it is all incredibly tight from 4th down to Rontvia in 11th
  8. As sad as the DNQ was, definitely embrace the positive side of the lack of pressure and the freedom it brings and go with something you just really love
  9. The way that the run of UK #1s would have gone without it: Livin' Joy - Dreamer (1 extra week) Perez Prez Prado - Guaglione (1 week) Pulp - Common People (2 weeks) U2 - Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me (2 weeks) Outhere Brothers - Boom Boom Boom (1 extra week) I'd have liked all 3 of those #2 peakers to make it
  10. Oh my bad re Des’Ree - I genuinely didn’t think that Life made the top 10, what a flop I am!
  11. Wow at the sales for Vindaloo! Also Des'ree finally forcing enough of the public to buy You Gotta Be to make it a top 10 hit on the 46th time of trying
  12. Although please feel free not to inflict it on us for that song
  13. Just drag the url link into the post and it shall appear like magic!
  14. …and there it is, the worst of the bunch. I still don’t understand how it sold so well, or even sold at all. A true 0/10 moment
  15. Listened through earlier and, as much as I like a lot of the songs individually, it’s quite a lot to do in one sitting. Think I’m going to try a few more listens in batches of 10-15 or so. Not sure if I’ve had a bit of a mis-step with my entry. I won’t say why as I don’t want to give away which mine is.
  16. Definitely nothing to write home about... but not bad enough to be in last spot either
  17. There are a few here that I really love, and one that is absolutely awful to the point where it is unlistenable
  18. Looking forward to this but Is that an AI pic? Not that it matters, I just noted it has slightly dodgy counting skills!
  19. This round of the series is going to be a slog
  20. I remember taking my little nephew to the cinema and beforehand we went to Woolworths(!) to get pick n mix, and he was wandering round singing it as he also had no idea what it meant... I was mortified though as everyone was laughing at us! @TheSnake I definitely don't think I'd have known what it all meant when I was 6 - you must have been very ahead of your years!
  21. I won't rank them all but I think these would be my top 10 of the year: 01 Freak Like Me 02 Lose Yourself 03 Just A Little 04 Dirrty 05 Just Like A Pill 06 Round Round 07 The Hindu Times 08 Sound Of The Underground 09 More Than A Woman 10 Without Me (I don't really count My Sweet Lord as 2002 so I've excluded it)
  22. I think I already know 11 of these (including my own) - it really was a theme that’s up my street!
  23. OMG Brer at the thing I got wrong on the spreadsheet. The way my mind clearly saw the 11 for Suedeonia from Skall and I must have just default entered in the bottom row without checking who was last at that point 🫣😂
  24. ...and one final post to go full circle... Mr D* has just messaged me from bed to say that he has just seen who won on Sewing Bee. I'm quite scared to go join him now. Goodnight all!
  25. Oh okay buzzjack, why did you do that this time gah. Even though I quite like what you did there
