My copy arrived today and I'm pleased to say that I'm listening now and it sounds great - and I love the lavender colour 💜 I'm going to hold off posting my thoughts on the album as I was unsure on first listen but on second listen I think I liked pretty much everything, see what happens after I've finished this listen

I cut round them and put them inside the cover with the record so they're still present. I don't totally know why I do this as I don't particularly intend to sell anything, but I feel like I should keep them for some reason

I still like Rebel Heart too. It's a strong enough 10 track album, just as others say it's way too bloated and has some really bad stuff as well as the better songs

Yes I did think Bré would know this was me! I was originally sending Charlie to BJSC but then had a last minute panic that I'd forgotten to find something for this contest, so swapped her into this instead. Totally agree that this would probably have clashed with Marie Davidson though, I was very surprised that someone else sent something that wasn't a million miles away

Totally agree with Cody and Haus that Free Woman with Rina deserved a release, it is infinitely better than the original imo and would have been one of my favourite singles of hers

Chez sending the Chez entry then! Glad everything has points so far. I'm a bit surprised to see Ultra Naté leading, it wasn't quite my thing - although I did love seeing Ultra and Sonique in the contest, both representing strong earlier female pioneers who managed to break through successfully.

If I had to guess then I’d say either Oklou or LP Giobbi are most likely to win… but there were quite a lot of strong entries this time so something else could feasibly snatch it
