  1. Not really a fan of Numb. It sounded like they were appearing on X Factor and didn’t fit the album imo. Haunted was okay, but I was expecting better and found it quite boring
  2. Bodies is MUCH better than Bad Boys, I would imagine that most people who frequent this part of Buzzjack would agree with us
  3. I swear the winning often makes people discount it the following year! Blinding Lights and everything I wanted are my choices to win... can't see the former winning, maybe the latter. I feel like it will be Dua's year this year though and it would be deserved as it's been a huge hit with Buzzjack
  4. From the ones I know, I do like these: Blur - Caramel [Colm] (I always think this is an intriguing choice of favourite song from them, it's not something I return to that often but I do like it - could imagine lots on here hating it though!) Brandy & Monica - The Boy Is Mine [AaronTM] Dido - Stoned [T Boy] (I do like this a lot for a non-single pick, the album reminds me of when Mr D* and I first got together) Fat Dog - King of the Slugs [uhsting] Haddaway - What Is Love [Addy!] It's Grim Up North (Part 1) [Doctor Blind] Kylie Minogue - Confide in Me (Big Brothers Mix) [Disco Witch] (I do love the original. I listened to this the other day out of curiosity and it didn't sound too bad, but not as great as the original for me) Mariah Carey - Fantasy [-Jay-] (not typically a fan but this is her best single) Metallica - One [Y'all Starlight] Radiohead - Creep [Mangø] (I absolutely adore Radiohead but their first album isn't something I particularly turn to, it's okay though) Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love [lewistgreen] Roger Sanchez - Another Chance [Jade] Spice Girls - Spice Up Your Life [spiral] (managed to pick my favourite of theirs) Taylor Swift - All Too Well [conorw] The Beatles - Across The Universe [JulianT] The Killers - Mr Brightside [ChrisJK] The Naked & Famous - Young Blood [Riser] (this was a great discovery via Unknown Pleasures for me so it's a good choice for the site) ...and these are the ones I really love: Madonna - Frozen [Roba.] Pulp - Common People [Jester] The Cure - In Between Days [jimwatts]
  5. You’ve sent the track I very nearly sent when I entered them earlier this year. Will be interesting to see how it does, I think this is much more commercial and at the time I thought it would do better
  6. Yeah, Westlife definitely fall into the camp of lucky to have quite as many #1s as they do and definitely not in the unlucky not to have more camp. Not trying to downplay their success as they obviously ended up doing very well but a lot of their early #1s were very fortunate so having only one that was less fortunate isn’t really unfair.
  7. Oh we’ve kinda lost all the more unexpected songs! Great that they made it so high but this feels like a slightly underwhelming top 10 after seeing the list of what made it top top 40. I do like everything though, albeit Into You isn’t as good as the others imo. Blinding Lights and Midnight Sky are my two faves but they’ve both won before so I don’t really mind what ends up winning this year Doomscroller cracking the top 20 is the main story this year for me, who’d have thought that would ever happen!
  8. Love the Robert Miles and Michael Jackson tracks, at the time Stranger in Moscow was my favourite song on the album. That Sonic the Hedgehog commentary though, I can safely say that I’ve never listened to Stranger and thought of the blue hedgehog but I’m clearly going to have to investigate now you’ve pointed it out :D
  9. I must admit that I voted Crazy Frog before I'd even taken in the rest of the list
  10. Snow Patrol for me, that's never been a highlight of theirs.
  11. Yeah similar logic for me, Green Day
  12. My favourite from that top 20 is Don't Tell Me, a wonderful single from Madge. Stan is obviously a classic but I didn't like it initially and it only really grew on me over the coming weeks. Destiny's Child is the only one in the top 10 that I actually bought, feels like a low amount by my standards :o
  13. Quite surprised to see the Robbie Williams tracks so high - although I do actually like them despite not giving that one any points - I just wasn't expecting them to be so popular among others in this area of the forum when compared to some of the bigger hitting 80s tracks etc Surprised I only gave Sentinel 1 point, although that did still equate to an 8/10 rank
  14. Please do. It’s much easier to ban people when they’re in an orderly queue. :kink:
  15. Wasn’t a fan of any of the Dollar tracks in the list, not sure I’ve ever really liked anything I’ve heard by them. I’m With Stupid being higher than Minimal is certainly a choice. I didn’t mind the former at the time but it’s pretty naff really.
  16. Sticking with Dead or Alive. It's alright but not my favourite of 80s hits
  17. As said last time, I'm switching to Greatest Day. It's the song that's played at uninspiring weddings a couple of years before they divorce.
  18. Minimal is fabulous. Loved both that and Integral from the PSB’s album. The remix package for Minimal was also great, especially the mix that maxed the strings *.*
  19. Definitely deserved! I doubt I'll do any sort of list this year but there's a strong chance this would be at the top if I were to do one. Definitely would be top 10.

Finally watched this now that it is available on streaming and I was pretty underwhelmed. I remember liking the first two films, although I can't really remember much about them now if I'm honest, but this just didn't really make me laugh much and also didn't really manage to hold my attention - I felt like there wasn't really much of a plot going on and having a lot of it set in the same backdrop as Loki just made me remember how much more I enjoyed watching Loki. I wouldn't say it was terrible or anything but it was just very mid for me.
  21. We also all wish he wasn't on it
  22. Secret > Bedtime Story > Human Nature > Take a Bow But Human Nature is the best video
  23. I've found this run of singles from Madness to be really unusual to say the least. House of Fun, Driving in my Car and Our House are all a bit like kids songs really (even if the theme of the first is clearly not really) and I'd never enjoy listening to them - Our House is probably the most tolerable of the three but I still can't quite fathom why they were so successful.
  24. Ooooo interesting to see Sao Paolo turn up here, I’ve almost sent that to BJSC before
