I may try to join this tomorrow if I can, I have a feeling I’ll like the older US number one singles more than the UK ones as my parents used to play a lot of soul from that sort of era

3/5 seems fair to be honest. It reminds me of Madonna’s I’m Breathless in so much as it is fine for the link to the film and plays like a musical soundtrack, but isn’t realistically going to be something I return to often

DXFClodyrP4 I never wanted to be special, I just wanted someone that was special to be mine BJSC34 - 5th As was often the case when I first joined, I entered a FLJ re-edit of this dreamy synth pop track and it did well for me which I was very chuffed with. I still really like it now and think it probably should have won :kink: - not that I can remember what did win to be fair, but I'm sure this was better haha. I suspect this would still be in my top 10 of my own entries if I were to compile said list.

Really enjoying this, some of the tracks have taken a few plays but I'm liking everything on it now. Life, All You Children and Baddy on the Floor are still my favourite three though, all are just so joyous There was totally room for Kill Dem, It's So Good and Let's Do It Again on the main album though, they fit the vibe well enough to sound like they were all designed to be part of the same record.

Born Slippy is one of the defining tracks of the 90s imo, definitely classic status. Didn’t realise it had sold that well in week one, a shame it didn’t quite manage to bag number one. Really love that Sleeper single too, it has that sort of working class storytelling style that Pulp had been so successful with. All of the singles from the It Girl album were good
