Brimful of Asha <3 One of the very best chart toppers of the 90s

The Gallup Years- Top 10 sales- 1990
I wish that Love Shack had dethroned Dub Be Good To Me this week, at the time Love Shack was my favourite thing (and indeed became the first single I bought myself this coming week)

Song Covers SoundClash: An Ending
I think you’ve done amazingly to actually find 100 rounds tbh, so many where I’d never heard of either cover and was left wondering how on earth you found them all! 🤣

Least favourite Lady Gaga 3rd single ● ROUND 5
Paparazzi for me. It’s my favourite from the Fame but not quite up there with what has followed since

Friday Chart Predictions
I heard the Justin Bieber track today for the first time and I actually quite liked it, definitely a more preferable #1 than the most recent few

Reverend And The Makers - Is This How Happiness Feels?
Very unexpected! It’s not the greatest song ever but it’s pretty fun and infectious

Round 8: Year End Survivor #121
KT for me. I liked it at the time and it is still nice, but Black Horse is the only one of hers that I still listen to regularly. Riot has actually grown on me a lot, it is undeniably fun…. Whilst Paper Planes remains one of the best songs of the era

The Gallup Years- Top 10 sales- 1990
I think Enjoy the Silence is my favourite top 10 hit of all time <3 It may also have my favourite single cover, it's beautiful in its choice of font and the simplicity of the rose

The Bear • Season 4
So we've finished now and my favourite episodes were definitely the one with Sydney and her cousin, and the one with the wedding. I thought the ending was reasonably bold, being entirely shot in one setting, but at times it returned to the headache inducing shouting at each other that put me off S3. I think that Carmy is actually the most irritating character in the show, I didn't enjoy any of his episodes as much as the others. I enjoyed all of the new hires (including those that returned from previous series to keep them on the show haha) and felt that each of them really worked within the team dynamic there. Agree with Josh that all of the rest of the staff needed more meaningful stories of their own though, even Marcus was reduced a lot... and I love Tina and think she really does deserve a bigger story at some point. I'm not massively keen on Jamie Lee Curtis in this, she was a bit more tolerable in this season but I've found her character to be too annoying, despite the praise she gets for it. Absolutely agree that Richie is great and has so much depth to his character, the difficulties he has navigating his parental role is so endearing, and his desire to really do well at the restaurant is also lovely. Sydney also continues to be a great character. So, at the end, I still enjoyed it but it didn't quite deliver on my expectations - I hope that the restaurant grows in S5 as it would be good to move past that story and focus on the development of the chefs etc instead.

Round 1: Ultimate Survivor XII
A shame that Gravel Pit looks like it will be the first one out... I mean, obviously I knew it was always likely to go first on Buzzjack but it would be in the top half of the tracks here for me.
-
MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
I bought this but can’t recall anything from it aside from the obvious singles. I don’t think I was that fussed on the rest but would be interesting to revisit it

Oasis
I’m waiting to see if Blood Records do a drop for Morning Glory, they’ve done one for a lot of Oasis releases now so I’m assuming they will

The Bear • Season 4
We've started watching season 4 this evening and I'm relieved to say that it is a big step back up after I really wasn't keen on the third season. It's back to actually having some more character driven episodes and, whilst the restaurant is still there as a theme (and it totally needs saving still etc), it's no longer drowning out the other characters that work there.

90s Top 10 Sales- Week by Week- 1998
I had a listen to that Cleopatra song just now... ooooo that's not great, I could recall the Cleopatra's coming atcha hook obviously but the rest of it was pretty poor imo, surprised it did so well aside from I guess the whole girl power movement still being very much in place. Glad the Backstreet Boys entered at #2 as well, that would have made a pretty rubbish #1

The Pop Factor: Season 1 • THE FINAL RESULTS
Oh well I was completely wrong with the Xtina comment then!!! Well done Scene and Avril - I don't think I'd ever really noticed before this year that the forum had so many fans of Avril, but she's consistently done well in the various rates etc and now this confirms her as a Buzzjack fave! Well done Rollo on getting PSBs to second. They absolutely are pop royalty, and arguably have one of the strongest back catalogues of any pop act, so I don't entirely think it is surprising that they did so well - but it also wasn't a foregone conclusion either
-
The Pop Factor: Season 1 • THE FINAL RESULTS
If the two scores are indeed added together, that will definitely make it very difficult for PSBs to finish anywhere other than 3rd as they were clearly behind the other two at the end of the freeze... and the potential for score variation is reduced dramatically in the final with only three acts to order I definitely think this is Xtina's to lose. Wouldn't surprise me if Dirrty was quite far ahead last time, and she had the biggest song this time too.
-
The Pop Factor: Season 1 • THE FINAL RESULTS
I'm assuming that PSBs will finish in 3rd, although I imagine they got a reasonable amount of 1st place votes - it felt like they'd either be 1st or last for people depending upon their taste. Can't call it between Christina and Avril. I'd say Christina is more likely to win based upon the song, but I feel like Scene picked up a lot of good will along the way and quite a lot of people are wanting to see Avril do it

Bop Idol 4 - The Results
I'm okay with copilot write ups... they were fine as a way of giving us more information about the tracks involved, AI has its place and I think providing more detail in a contest where otherwise it would have been really time consuming for the host to research is probably a decent example of where it should be used. I didn't pick up on it before Brer mentioned it, but that's primarily because I still don't give it a thought unless it is an image. A lot of hosts would just use things like Wiki for reference anyway so it really isn't that far removed.

Round 4: Year End Survivor #122
Either S Club or Ian Van Dahl for me, I’ll go with the latter
