The Script - #3 - Hall of Fame (Feat. Will.i.am)
Love this, its gonna be big and I can definately see it being a contender for #1. It'll definately go to #1 in Ireland either way.

Michel Teló 'Ai Se Eu Te Pego'
I think it could peak higher than Alors On Danse (even though AOD is the better song). I noticed last week its been taken off itunes so it will be held back. IF radio 1 supports it and it gets video play (which AOD unfortunately didn't really get the latter) then I can see it peaking top 5/10 actually. I can see Tacata being a bigger hit here though when its finally released. It hasn't been taken off itunes in Ireland its climbing ATM (About #70 ATM)

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 8th July 2012
It just had an amazing chart run, it spent weeks going between #7 - #12, it just kept re-entering the top 10  It stayed in the top 75 for 33 weeks which at the time was an amazing feat. It sold over 700,000 copies as well IIRC.

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 8th July 2012
Actually it has, LeAnn Rimes How Do I Live only reached #7 in 1998 but managed to be #6 on 1998 end of year chart

Predict and Discuss future notable releases
I know there's no confirmation as such but I wonder if something Olympics related could get to #1 in a few weeks? All it will take is a performance on the opening ceremony or background music to be played at a key event. Some of the events are going to get massive ratings so it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Fake versions on the itunes chart
Nope, it was on air, on sale like pretty much everything in Australia. I said on another forum that as soon as Pink is out it'd shoot to #1 on itunes and it has :yahoo: I think Australia is probably the best example of OA/OS, its works well there because everything is released like that and radio latch onto songs extremely quickly as well.

The Non No 1 thread
Being a fan of the Australian charts, I know the answer. Back in the late 90s and early to mid Noughties, labels deleted songs from production whilst they were still high to help sell the album etc. This lead to many big songs having short or odd chart runs. In Celine's case, her label stopped producing the single to help the album. Being a smaller market, supply ran out quick so it dropped 1-24. 2 weeks later, her label decided to reissue the single but make the dance remix the A side, hence it climbed back very quickly. Loads of songs had awful runs, Complicated by Avril fell 1-10, Jesse McCartney fell 1-15, Everytime by Britney fell 1-2-18-29-out. They even deleted novelty songs, Who Let the dogs out went 3-1-1-1-1-2-24-out! There are many examples as well.

Sunday Chart Predictions
If you read the article, it suggests that Will.I.Am is the song on 83k with it having a 17k lead on Chris. It doesnt say he has reached 100,000 yet. I'd say its 83k for Will and 66k for Chris Brown.

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 3rd June 2012
I find it interesting that some labels are able to delete the fake versions while others don't. I wonder if there's a reason for that (i.e. it costs to get fakes deleted or some labels can't for some reason?). Whistle definately won't reach #1 this week though I am half expecting it to be reach #2. Next week it will certainly be Cheryl and now Maroon 5 will have an easy #1 the following week. Had Whistle been released the same week as Maroon 5, I am almost certain it would have beaten Payphone. Whistle's only chance is if one of the above underperforms or it takes advantage in late June/July due to a lack of new releases. I can see Maroon 5 being incredibly front loaded

Loreen European Itunes Update
Actually it has a good chance of debuting at #1 in Germany/Austria/Switzerland. Its had a big lead in Austria and Germany all week and I can't see it missing it there to be honest (especially as its been confirmed it will chart in Germany). You also need to remember it debuted in Spain thanks to just 1/2 days at #1 (their chart goes from Monday to Sunday). So its been #1 so far in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Ireland and I'd say there will certainly be more countries to follow next week.

Voting order revealed
That voting looks very interesting. I remember last year they did the order to make it as exciting as possible. Do they do it based on the Jury voting (presumingly they know what they have now obviously voted for). I'd imagine a few of the Eastern countries (ie. Serbia/Ukraine/Russia) will take early leads and possibly there'll be a surge from Sweden towards the end? Who knows, like Goodelta says, if Sweden are lagging behind midway they have some hope.

Eurovision 2012 · Rehearsals
Re: Loreen I have been following the thread on Digitalspy, most people saw that she ate the snow and she DID mess up the next line but apparently she recovered well. Some are worried it may knock down the jury vote abit though. While others said that while many big eurovision fans noticed it, there were several who didnt really notice it (especially people watching for the first time) so who knows how the jury will vote. Apparently Spain were amazing though.

SEMI FINAL II [2012]
Shame about the Netherlands but it was kind of to be expected. Quite nervous about the drawer now, just hoping Sweden get a good drawer, I think even she got 12th or 17th she would still do well (just not 4th or 5th)

SEMI-FINAL I [2012]
I agree, whilst there are several big contenders, I can totally see Russia winning the televote as well. Alot of the juries may not get it but at the same time some may get on board. They may end up picking up quite a few 6/7/8's I'd imagine. We will shall, should be quite an exciting night as its still quite open IMO, I guess the drawer tomorrow may well sway it.

SEMI-FINAL I [2012]
Does anyone know if the drawer is tonight for the 1st Semi's? I am sure the last few years it has been? Really enjoyed tonight, my family were all laughing at Russia, it really wouldn't surprise me if they won actually but top 5 is a certainty. As always, I think the winner will be determined by the drawer. If Sweden get an early drawer and one of the other favs like Romania/Russia etc get a late drawer it could be a big battle.

The Non No 1 thread
Interesting thread but one quick query. How can you put Hanson at #1 on 31.5.97 and Elton John 13.9.97 when they weren't even out for release in those respective weeks.

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 13th May 2012
I quite the new Jubilee song, though quite surprised Gary Barlow doesn't sing on it. It wouldn't surprise me if it did reach the top though, seems quite a dead week on releases (apart from Alexandra but she won't hit #1). Is the Voice winner releasing a winner single? If so, that could reach the top in early June. I'd say Cheryl is a certain chart topper. I wouldn't rule out Whistle by Flo Rida either, its already been #1 in NZ and Australia and is currently #1 on itunes in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, its gonna be big IMO.

Will "Call Me Maybe" become a million seller?
I also wonder if Titanium could also get there eventually? It is bound to continue selling throughout the year and will likely be used in The Voice, X factor etc at some point as well. It may not do it this year but then it only needs to sell another 10k each week until the end of the year (a tall order but it'll likely sell more than that for the next few months). I always find it a shame that songs from the mid noughties will never have their true potential ever known (if thats the right saying). Songs like Hips Don't Lie, Umbrella, Chasing Cars etc would have all likely sold a million by now had they released in todays climate. I guess it is something we will never know though. Oh and Carly is pretty certain to reach the million mark at some point I'd imagine (as long as it doesnt drop off too quick). Quite a few of my mates HATE that sort of music yet like CMM which surprised me earlier today.

The Voice UK
Does anyone know how the lives work? Each team has 5 members but surely they won't all perform next week? I presume they get split up somehow?

iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
Oh that's interesting but then it is the weekend now so may be that is having an effect? It actually wouldn't surprise me if Call Me Maybe ended up in the year end top 10 to be honest. I also wouldn't be shocked if its sales have held up well and that it potentially stops Conor next week either. I do hope you're right about fun getting to #1 but I think we are a few weeks off that considering its barely had any TV/radio play yet (top 50 wise anyway).

Delta Goodrem - Sitting On Top Of The World
Its now #12 on itunes  Its actually very good IMO, in Australia it is slightly different to here because no song is usually held back for long. I can't even remember the last time a song got THAT high in its first day in the last year or so over there (apart from the X Factor winner or may be Lady Gaga last year). She has the Voice and Logie performance at the weekend. I think she should get to #2 fairly easy, just a case of catching up to Carly which still has a HUGE lead.

iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
I have thought the same actually, it wouldn't surprise me if he got another #2  I don't think no video will help him either, unless he releases it in the next week or so.

iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
Great that Fun is out now but unless it gets a decent lead this week then I can't see it going to #1 at the moment (its not on the feed either?). Next week Conor is out (according to his twitter like Manic said), then it'll be Calvin/Ne-Yo, Tulisa (now out the 30th April according to her label), then it'll be Rita Ora etc. I can unfortunately see it getting stuck but you never know, something I've mentioned might not as a big etc.

The Buzzjack Sunday Chart Show Thread
I remember hearing Call Me maybe back in January, I instantly loved it but I never thought it'd get pushed here! I personally think its gonna hang around for months and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if it ended up in the year end top 10/20.

iTunes Chart: Weekly Thread W/C 8th April 2012
Whilst I completely agree that songs get held back far too long and it does effect things, I now don't think T.H.E, Rockstar would have been #1s anyway. Of course most of the songs I've mentioned will likely be extremely front loaded, I can see Rita Ora going 100k + week one. I think Tulisa will do very well as well (you only need to see her youtube views so far). Plus some songs have been held back 6-8 weeks and still got to #1 (i.e. Hot Right now) which I heard back in December!
