  1. Agreed. But as it stands Calvin Harris is out the same week as Carly Rae Jepsen so that could be an interesting battle. I am pretty convinced the label will bring the release for CMM forward, they surely can't wait another 3 weeks to release it, must be close to the top 10 combined now? If Carly is brought forward, then I think Calvin will likely go to #1. Fun will be HUGE and again, I can't see them waiting until mid May to release it. Noticed Tulisa is out the same week as Rita Ora and I can see RIP being a big contender as well.
  2. Surely its only a matter of time before Carly Rae Jepsen's labels releases Call Me Maybe? Well you'd think so anyway. The fakes are gonna get quite high otherwise. The same goes for We Are Young, can't see how they can wait until mid May.
  3. I find it quite frustrating to be honest. I can understand that they want song to have high peaks (thats one of the main goals for any act or label) but there is absolutely no need to build up demand for 6-8 weeks anymore. I mean there are fakes of Justin Bieber after less than a day, it'd easily be top 10 by now if the label had released it today. It still wouldn't surprise me if Call Me Maybe and We Are Young release dates as moved forward though otherwise the fake versions are going to get rather high. UK act labels tend to stick to their release dates so I expect RIP and Let's Go for example, to stick with their dates at the moment. Let's Go Vs Call Me Maybe could be an interesting chart battle w/c 23/4/12.
  4. I wonder if Carly Rae Jepsen's label will bring forward the release for Call Me Maybe? There are already 3/4 versions shooting up and I really can't see them waiting until 23rd April as I can see them all getting quite high in the next couple of weeks. It'll backfire if they leave it too long. I still have no idea why Record labels still insist on holding songs back so long, especially with all the fakes about. Some get on itunes very quickly!
  5. Exactly, I hope her label sees sense and releases it sooner, say 9th April. It'd still probably go to #1 if released earlier, especially as it now has radio 1 backing.
  6. I really want this to go to #1 but according to the release schedule, the new Calvin Harris/Ne'yo is out the same week which I can potentially beating it.
  7. Just to please everyone (especially goodelta) Euphoria by Loreen is available on UK Itunes
  8. This is beginning to explode everywhere now, its now #1 on the Irish itunes!! and its almost #1 on Australian and New Zealand itunes as well! I think this could do very well when its released here next month. Its out on 23rd April at the moment.
  9. simonf posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
For anyone who uses Livepop this has just been posted on the website:- ''iTunes have stopped providing in-context pop bar information. I am going to see if I can get this back, but in the meantime this site will display the live rankings feed from iTunes without popularity bars. The albums and videos charts still work; the app will not work until the pop bars return. I can still get the pop bars back through more arcane methods, however this requires a complete rewrite of all my code and may take days or even weeks, so bare with me.''
  10. Isn't it a little unfair that you can still vote? I mean in theory, surely all Danny fans can go into voting overdrive?
  11. I know that the final drawer is important but I take it the winner isn't always the song that performs last? I am not sure what positions previous winners were but I think Eric was last last year wasn't he?
  12. Does anyone know if Nicki Minaj has made a video yet for Starships? Considering its got to #3 on both hype and only radio airplay its doing very well. As soon as the video drops it really wouldn't surprise me if it challenged for #1 in a few weeks. There really isn't much out in the next few weeks but I reckon the new Katy Perry, JLS (#1 then quick drop?) and Chris Brown will all be big during March.
  13. Its my first very show tonight and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Don't they have ads though? And what time do they begin to show whos gone through etc? I won't comment on them all but I rather enjoyed Lisa's song. Danny's performance really impressed me especially with the breakdown (and lights). However, his vocals were quite poor, I don't remember In The Club being like that last year? I personally thought though that it WOULD go to the Eurovision final if chosen, and could do rather well IMO (needs to work on the vocals though)
  14. I Don't think Dappy is out in Ireland yet unti tomorrow. For reason the odd song doesn't get released until the Sunday (which is silly considering it loses 2 days worth of sales). The same thing happened with DJ Fresh a couple of weeks ago.
  15. Does anyone know why Call Me Maybe has suddenly begun to rise loads today? Seems rather random unless its beginning to get airplay from somewhere?
  16. The new releases have just jumped up DJ Fresh #12 Emeli #35
  17. Gotye is an odd one, it climbs quite quickly during the day and then begins to fall back during the evening. I'd imagine it will pull away again tomorrow and on Friday to get a decent lead but it will be tight. Completely agree with the weekend effect comment. Even if Gotye does get a good lead, it will fall back quite quickly during Saturday (like last week) which will probably make the difference. Next week I'm almost certain DJ Fresh will be #1, it will be very front loaded but I can't see it NOT getting to #1. Had Emeli Sande not had her album out next week then it would put up a big challenge but her album will go to #1 anyway. Gotye's main chance will be the week after next (unless a Brits performance is big enough).
  18. It probably shouldn't be but its always happened throughout time (especially with CD singles). I am actually surprised they have kept it 59p actually as they are #1 now anyway.
  19. Just seen Titanium is 59p on Amazon as well so it looks like it will be #1 for a second week at this rate.
  20. Both Will.I.Am and Gotye are gaining quite quickly. Gotye was on 0.72 at 11am but is now 0.80 at 1pm. I think its going to be depend how front loaded Will.I.Am is and if Titanium goes back up to 99p (even if it doesnt, I can still see Gotye potentially overtaking it by mid week).
  21. I know, I was half expecting it to be #1 now, but it wouldn't surprise me if it reaches #1 tomorrow (doubt it will be today now). I can't see it getting much of a lead though ATM. I fully expect Titanium to hold up well next week (I wonder when he will go back up to 99p?) and I can honestly see Gotye gaining again from tomorrow (seems to fall quite a bit over the weekend). I wouldn't say Will.I.am is guaranteed just yet.
  22. Too true, Gotye got very close on Friday to Titanium but the weekend effect has meant it has fallen back. I have no doubt by mid week it will be close to or already have overtaken Titanium (especially if it goes back to 99p). I'd love Next to Me to be #1 next week but it'll easily be DJ Fresh (who will be incredibly front loaded but won't do a Twilight). As Emeli Sande's album is out the same week alot of the sales will go to the Album IMO. Like someone said, Gotye's best chance to be #1 will be the week after next. The only things standing in the way will be Gym Class Heroes (which will go top 5 but can't see #1 ATM), DJ Fresh second week, or some sort of Brits effect (ala Dizzee/Florence, Adele, though looking at the potential performers I'm not convinced any of them will the power this year but who knows).
  23. Ahh well looks like it'll be #1 then unless its incredibly front loaded. It got to #42 so far thanks to its preorders (2 track)
  24. Its funny you say that. I initially thought it would be a definate #1 BUT in Ireland, its struggling to go top 20! Of course I realise that doesn't mean anything as such, but usually big US releases still do well over there so I am surprised its not even gone top 10 yet. Next week could be quite interesting!
  25. I can see it entering at #2/#3 to be honest as I think DJ Fresh will get in the way. I'd imagine her album will go to #1 that week though.
