WW/regional hits that could be UK hits in 2012?
I would also mention Hangover by Taio Cruz as well. I'd imagine it will be Avicii Vs Taio for potentially the first UK #1 of 2012. Gotye is an obvious hit IMO, Radio 1 are bound to support it and the video is quite unique. It wouldnt surprise me if they cut down the first verse though (for radio). It really wouldn't surprise me if it reached #1 either. I did think about Marlon Roudette but not sure if would do well here. As for Geronimo I actually think it could do quite well here but like goodelta said, it probably wouldn't get a push here so we will never know. Your Da One by Rihanna and Domino by Jessie J are potentially big hits as well too.

Aura Dione - Before The Dinosaurs
I love Geronimo and am glad its having success in Europe. I do hope it gets a UK release early next year though, its catchy enough to be a hit here with the right push IMO. Guess we will see. Also surprised the full video hasn't surfaced yet, they are taking their time.

Steps - 'The Ultimate Collection'
Morrisons are definately stocking it, its #10 in their chart with Jason Derulo at #1

How close will the top of the charts be today?
- iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
Your right, it seems its stuck on 0.411 or thereabouts, so it looks like it peaking (unless I've spoken too soon). I guess M5 always have a weekend effect so I'd imagine it will be catching up from tomorrow, even if it happens quite slowly.- iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
Is it me or is that lead beginning to slow up? Obviously Rihanna would never be able to sustain that leads for a long time but its barely going up now (wasn't it only .45 earlier?). It will probably climb bit by bit for now but it wouldnt surprise me if M5 began to get closer from tomorrow. I still think Rihanna will do it but possibly by only a few thousand.- iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
Yes this Wednesday apparently. Its going to be a very interesting week. I mean MLJ has had a big head start and while I have no doubt Rihanna will make #1 on itunes during late Wednesday/Thursday it will surely need to do double of MLJ for the rest of the week to even stand a chance? Then MLJ will also have some sort of weekend effect so it could be quite close I think! Will be interesting to see how far ahead Maroon 5 will be tomorrow in the mids, just noticed its also #1 and #2 on Amazon (not that prob means alot)- iTunes Chart: September 2011 (IV)
I'm trying not to get my hopes up just in case something comes out of nowhere but fingers crossed. Its also now #1 and #4 on Amazon too (not that may mean much but still).- iTunes Chart: September 2011 (IV)
Its increasing isn't it? Next week could be quite close, I'd love MLJ to do it but I've always thought Sak Noel would likely be #1 for 2 weeks. Having said that, Sak's EP sales are decreasing and and I can see his lower versions beginning to fall after the weekend so it could go either way at the mo IMO- iTunes Chart: September 2011 (IV)
Unless its reverted, then it looks like Maroon 5 is gaining on Iris. This morning M5 was on 0.82 on pop bars, now its 0.88 so I'd say the X factor has been and gone. Of course my eyes may be playing tricks on me- iTunes Chart: September 2011 (IV)
Iris is now #1 :o- iTunes Chart: September 2011 (IV)
Just was announced that the new Rihanna single is out on 14th November according to Radio 1 therefore it won't be out next week. It is out the same week as the Children In Need track though so could be quite competitive that week!- iTunes Chart: September (III)
Though I could be overestimating Dappy, I just have a feeling it'll be #1 and wouldn't surprise me if it gets close to or over 100k. Having said that, its going to be incredibly front loaded and it wouldnt surprise if Maroon 5 climb to #1 on itunes by the weekend again. Sak Noel could go either way but I suspect a #1 could be on the cards, especially as I'm sure there will be multiple versions on itunes (radio edit, explicit radio edit, original mix etc etc). Who knows though, there isn't much out the 3rd October so anything could happen that week but I suspect MLJ will be under 60k by then.- iTunes Chart: September (II)
Why do I think Dappy could be #1? Because its a good song, getting mass airplay plus like other songs recently, has been held back months so will be incredibly front loaded, wouldn't surprise me if it gets close to 100k actually but we will see- iTunes Chart: September (II)
While I would love Maroon 5 to get a week at least, I'd imagine Dappy could well be #1 next week (if not it'll surely debut at #2 behind OD). The following week Sak Noel could well do it and after that I doubt Maroon 5 will be selling that much to challenge. I think this was the last week it had any real chance it do it :-(- iTunes Chart: September (II)
Completely agree that this is Maroon 5's last chance of #1. I'd imagine Maroon 5 will overtake The Sats in the next day or so. IF Pixie is still #1 by Thursday night then it probably will be #1 on Sunday but I'm almost certain Maroon 5 will catch up with Pixie by the weekend on itunes at least. I am actually surprised that Pixie isn't more ahead and its only gained 1% on Maroon in the last few hours, would suggest Maroon could even begin catching up in the next day or so. Does anyone know how big the gap got between Maroon 5 and Example?- iTunes Chart: August (III)
I am also quite surprised about Ed and Example BUT I wonder if the Bank holiday weekend is affecting things in some way? IF neither get it, I hope Moves Like Jagger gets it just for shock value, plus it'll probably outsell everything that charts above it in the near future too (ie Emeli, Wretch 32, Calvin etc)- ** Hitstastic Top 40 Singles **

Kimbra - Somebody That I Used To Know - A #1 for me, already #1 in Australia and Belgium. Absolutely love it, didn't think much of it at first but its a grower, especially when Kimbra gets involved 02 (02) Pitbull feat. Marc Anthony - Rain Over Me 03 (--) Bad Meets Evil feat. If people are looking at Livepopbars for Cher's lead, its been a bit all the place over the weekend (itunes has had issues updating) but I've just refreshed it and Cher has a HUGE lead Cher Lloyd Swagger Jagger 1.000000 JLS She Makes Me Wanna (feat. Dev) 0.585087- iTunes Chart: July 2011 (IV)
I agree, I think he'll probably release an EP with that version on as well (ala A Team and chart high in the Itunes Album chart). He will be coming from one of the biggest hits of the year, he'll be getting some hype as its close to the album plus it seems to be getting alot of love on youtube (twice the views that Example video has had so far - not that necessarily means much). I'd say CTWYKM sounded more of a #1 but you never know. SA will go top 3 guaranteed anyway.- ** Hitstastic Top 40 Singles **

Its awful yet annoyingly catchy- Predict the future hits of July, August and September
August is gonna be quite interesting with #1s but I think the Example vs Ed battle could be quite interesting. Everyone is predicting a pretty much dead cert for Example but I agree with goodelta and it wouldn't surprise me if Ed made it or came close. He's getting a fair amount of hype, especially now his fanbase is growing thanks to the A Team etc not to mention his new video has been viewed by almost 500,000 on youtube in 4 days while Example isn't even on 200,000 in the same time period (even if add together other edits Ed still has more views) so I think reckon Ed could be a dark horse. Also while Leona's song is really growing on me, I can actually see Pixie being the biggest hit that week and Saturdays haven't got a hope either. This is obviously just my opinion - Good Delta Hit Parade: 25th July 2011

I agree. We will never know but I often wonder had televoting been around in 1996, could Gina G have won in 1996? She must have had one of, if the biggest Eurovision hits of the decade so it still feels unjust it only reached 8th  - iTunes Chart: October 2011 (I)
