Eurovision iTunes Updates
Impressive for Blue but what surprises me is they didn't even get any points from alot of these countries. Its almost like they would have received points through the televote but the juries didn't vote for them so didnt get much or anything in some cases.

Eurovision 2011 · THE FINAL THREAD
Well i was watching Eurovision and our mouths were dropping with all the results, some were absolutely shocking! Near the end we thought we were about to catch up to Ireland only for them to move further away again  The fact that Sweden won their semi makes me wonder had they drawn a later slot, that they may have won :o Shame about Blue though, all my mates felt they deserved top 10. its odd though as their itunes positions suggest they were more popular ie in Germany its top 10. Shocked most of the favs done terrible :o

Eurovision 2011 · THE FINAL THREAD
I am praying Jedward don't go too high (though sadly the song has grown on me), the only thing I keep thinking is surely they won't be top 5, simply because I just can't see the juries going for it? Despite me thinking that France will get it, its still quite wide open IMO and any number of countries could end up top 5 which is making it very exciting!

Semi Final Two [2011]
Apparently they have just been doing the dress rehearsal for tomorrow and some interesting comments over at digitalspy. Denmark were very good and Austria went down a storm but apparently Sweden's glass didn't break on time and Estonia sounded awful. I always had a feeling that there could be a few shocks tomorrow night. If Austria and Denmark get good slots on Saturday I think they could be contenders actually (especially the latter).

US iTunes Top 100 [APR-JUL 2011]
Don't forget Coldplay back in 2008 as well. Really hoping Adele can go to #1 in the coming weeks

Caro Emerald
Sorry, singles - A Night Like This.

Caro Emerald
This seems to be finally taking off in Germany, its now #3 on itunes (I actually wouldn't rule out a #1 at this stage). Even more impressive, its also #1 in Austrian itunes and has a BIG lead.

Pitbull 'Planet Pit' - Album Discussion
I'm loving this myself, may be Nayer is the female vocalist? To be honest I prefer this to David Guetta's newie at the moment. Its gonna be HUGE IMO, its almost #1 on German itunes and top 10 in the USA/Australia itunes amongst others and that's without a video. IMO its going top 5 at least, though I reckon top 3 is realistic.

Eurovision 2011 · Predictions
Isn't tomorrow the live draw for the semi's and the big 5 in the final? Will be quite telling I think (as always). If UK or France are early on in the final they could be screwed (though presumingly lines are open from the beginning again?). Its nice to see thats its quite wide open this year, theres about 6-8 songs could do it IMO

iTunes Chart: March 2011 (II)
Next week could be close between The Wanted and Adele but it wouldnt surprise me if Adele beat them. I fully expect Nicole to go top 5 too. I see Jennifer Lopez's label keep getting the 'cover' deleted off itunes, one last week was deleted and now the one that was around the #50 mark has been too. I see another one is shooting up. They may as well just release the official one

New Release Schedule (March 6)
Susan Boyle & Peter Kay - I Know Him So Well* I am assuming this is for Comic Relief?

Predict: Jennifer Lopez feat. Pitbull - On The Floor
I'll say top 3 for now but to be honest I wouldn't rule out #1 just yet. Just because its bound to get heavy video play, radio 1 have playlisted it and its already going to #1 in Europe. Add to that there really is not alot out on the 27th March or even previous weeks (apart from Comic Relief). Think it may be a little too early to say though.

JLo ft Pitbull - On The Floor (NEW SINGLE)
That is good news, I can see it going top 3 actually (#1 is a bit bold at this stage), as its now out on 27th March and there really ISN'T much out at all so who knows. I'm pretty convinced it'll end up #1 in several European countries though.

Eesti Laul 2011
I hope your right about Blue, I wonder why they are leaving it so late to premier it though? Its gonna be one of the last isn't it :o
-
Eesti Laul 2011
I'm finding the talk of potential winners quite interesting so far. Certainly could be more wide open this year than it has been for a few years (considering Fairytale and Satellite were miles ahead). My favs so far are Estonia and Denmark, Rockefeller is very instant and I can see it making the top 10 surely? I quite like the Austrian song also, and I personally hope it gets to the final at least. I personally love Popular but not sure if Europe will vote for it (though I'd imagine it'd get a few votes from several countries in the west). The second Semi is gonna be tough and there WILL be a shock exit, isn't there always

Danish Melodi Grand Prix 2011
You predicted the correct top 2 Delta  Really liking A Friend In London, I can't see a win atm but I can definately see this doing very well, top 10 finish?

iTunes Chart: February [III]
Its been on Irish itunes for a few weeks now, but has been hovering close to #100 and below though.

Melodifestivalen 2011
Oh they do duels? So it isn't necessarily the top 2 that go through from second chance? How unfair After tonight do all the songs become available on youtube? I am also presuming that they will be available on itunes. Will be interesting to see if Eric takes a lead on itunes. Anna had a big lead last year didnt she?
-
JLo ft Pitbull - On The Floor (NEW SINGLE)
Its still #2 on German itunes? Chris Brown still has a fairly big lead and its still stating on the front page that Chris is still #1?
-
Melodifestivalen 2011
Quite like the Love Generation song but it'll probably be Eric Vs Sanna in the final though I really like both songs. All songs will be available at the weekend won't they? Kinda ruins it in a way though as last year Anna had a big lead on itunes so her winning wasn't really a surprise. BTW is anyone having any issue with the a 'certain' download website? All week its been saying my daily limit is full yet I haven't downloaded anything :s

German Singles Chart - 25/02/11
It is an odd system. I'd imagine Gaga will be #1 on the download chart and overall, was the best seller of the week but because it made less money doesnt reach the top. I guess the reason for that rule was to stop the decline in the physical market (i think a fair amount of people still buy physicals) but as downloads are clearly more popular now it really needs to be changed. The 9 week rule did make sense but then as downloads have taken over, 12 weeks later the songs would only re-enter anyway. Anyway, glad Sunrise Avenue has charted, love the track, its almost #1 on itunes there now. I think it could be this years Rasmus, Mando Diao (Euro rock song). I also thought Lena could be #1 next week but its now falling quite fast on itunes and musicload (guess most people are buying the album?)
-
German Singles Chart - 18/02/11
It does seem quite backward, the chart runs from Friday to Thursday but that chart isn't 'officially' released until the following Friday (it does leak earlier though on Tuesday). Both Switzerland and Austria are released on the Wednesday. Nice to see Bruno is #1 and great entry for Hurts, LOVE that song. Judging by itunes, Lena could reach the top with her Eurovision entry but it doesnt has near enough the appeal to be there long IMO. New songs by Sunrise Avenue (great euro rock song), Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Lopez will be massive hits over the next month IMO judging by airplay and the first two high positions on itunes/musicload.

iTunes Chart: February 2011 (I)
Well accordingly to this site link, September sold 102 copies on the 6th Feb to be #1 on Swedish itunes, so it probably sells around 700 copies for #1 (obviously it may be more or less depending on the week). I dunno how reliable the site is but it seems quite accurate to me (it lists all countries for itunes on the left), its a good read whether you believe it or not. In Luxemburg you only need about 10 copies a day to be #1 :P
