Unless its reverted, then it looks like Maroon 5 is gaining on Iris. This morning M5 was on 0.82 on pop bars, now its 0.88 so I'd say the X factor has been and gone. Of course my eyes may be playing tricks on me

    Iris is now #1 :o

Just was announced that the new Rihanna single is out on 14th November according to Radio 1 therefore it won't be out next week. It is out the same week as the Children In Need track though so could be quite competitive that week!

Though I could be overestimating Dappy, I just have a feeling it'll be #1 and wouldn't surprise me if it gets close to or over 100k. Having said that, its going to be incredibly front loaded and it wouldnt surprise if Maroon 5 climb to #1 on itunes by the weekend again. Sak Noel could go either way but I suspect a #1 could be on the cards, especially as I'm sure there will be multiple versions on itunes (radio edit, explicit radio edit, original mix etc etc). Who knows though, there isn't much out the 3rd October so anything could happen that week but I suspect MLJ will be under 60k by then.

Why do I think Dappy could be #1? Because its a good song, getting mass airplay plus like other songs recently, has been held back months so will be incredibly front loaded, wouldn't surprise me if it gets close to 100k actually but we will see

While I would love Maroon 5 to get a week at least, I'd imagine Dappy could well be #1 next week (if not it'll surely debut at #2 behind OD). The following week Sak Noel could well do it and after that I doubt Maroon 5 will be selling that much to challenge. I think this was the last week it had any real chance it do it :-(

Completely agree that this is Maroon 5's last chance of #1. I'd imagine Maroon 5 will overtake The Sats in the next day or so. IF Pixie is still #1 by Thursday night then it probably will be #1 on Sunday but I'm almost certain Maroon 5 will catch up with Pixie by the weekend on itunes at least. I am actually surprised that Pixie isn't more ahead and its only gained 1% on Maroon in the last few hours, would suggest Maroon could even begin catching up in the next day or so. Does anyone know how big the gap got between Maroon 5 and Example?
  8. simonf posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I am also quite surprised about Ed and Example BUT I wonder if the Bank holiday weekend is affecting things in some way? IF neither get it, I hope Moves Like Jagger gets it just for shock value, plus it'll probably outsell everything that charts above it in the near future too (ie Emeli, Wretch 32, Calvin etc)

I agree, I think he'll probably release an EP with that version on as well (ala A Team and chart high in the Itunes Album chart). He will be coming from one of the biggest hits of the year, he'll be getting some hype as its close to the album plus it seems to be getting alot of love on youtube (twice the views that Example video has had so far - not that necessarily means much). I'd say CTWYKM sounded more of a #1 but you never know. SA will go top 3 guaranteed anyway.
  12. Hi Hits I hope you have been keeping well, I haven't posted in your chart for AGES so thought I'd make a few comments 01 (01) DJ Fresh feat. Its awful yet annoyingly catchy
  13. August is gonna be quite interesting with #1s but I think the Example vs Ed battle could be quite interesting. Everyone is predicting a pretty much dead cert for Example but I agree with goodelta and it wouldn't surprise me if Ed made it or came close. He's getting a fair amount of hype, especially now his fanbase is growing thanks to the A Team etc not to mention his new video has been viewed by almost 500,000 on youtube in 4 days while Example isn't even on 200,000 in the same time period (even if add together other edits Ed still has more views) so I think reckon Ed could be a dark horse. Also while Leona's song is really growing on me, I can actually see Pixie being the biggest hit that week and Saturdays haven't got a hope either. This is obviously just my opinion
  14. Hey, thought I'd post a few comments as I haven't done it for ages (one of best personal charts IMO) Likes/comments: 1. Ed Sheeran - The A Team (1) (CR-67-40-29-28-23-19-8-1-1-1-1-1-1) - This has only finally clicked with me recently, 6 weeks is impressive as well 4. Ed Sheeran - You Need Me (2) (CR-67-OUT-8-2-2-4) - I LOVE this, i only heard it the other day and I'm already addicted, I much prefer it to A Team so hope it can go to #1 for you at some point. I agree with what you said in the prediction thread-think this will give Example a run for his money and I actually think Ed has a good chance TBH. 6. Eric Amarillo - Om Sanningen Ska Fram (3) (CR-48-13-8-5-1-1-1-2-3-2-4-3-6) 7. Leona Lewis - Collide (NEW) (CR-7) - Liking this but I can really see Pixie beating it 12. I agree. We will never know but I often wonder had televoting been around in 1996, could Gina G have won in 1996? She must have had one of, if the biggest Eurovision hits of the decade so it still feels unjust it only reached 8th
  16. Impressive for Blue but what surprises me is they didn't even get any points from alot of these countries. Its almost like they would have received points through the televote but the juries didn't vote for them so didnt get much or anything in some cases.
  17. Over at Digital Spy they have just announced the viewing figures. They are MASSIVE 20:00- The Eurovision Song Contest 2011: 9.5 (40.4%) PEAK at 12.7 :yahoo: 20:00- Britain's Got Talent: 8.4 (32.0%) * 20:00-20:30: 7.0m (28.2%) * 20:30-21:00: 7.9m (30.0%) * 21:00-21:30: 9.5m (37.6%) * 21:30-22:00: 9.1m (36.6%) * 22:00-22:30: 9.6m (41.2%) * 22:30-23:00: 12.0m (54.2%) * 23:00-23:30: 12.0m (60.9%)
  18. Well i was watching Eurovision and our mouths were dropping with all the results, some were absolutely shocking! Near the end we thought we were about to catch up to Ireland only for them to move further away again  The fact that Sweden won their semi makes me wonder had they drawn a later slot, that they may have won :o Shame about Blue though, all my mates felt they deserved top 10. its odd though as their itunes positions suggest they were more popular ie in Germany its top 10. Shocked most of the favs done terrible :o
  19. I am praying Jedward don't go too high (though sadly the song has grown on me), the only thing I keep thinking is surely they won't be top 5, simply because I just can't see the juries going for it? Despite me thinking that France will get it, its still quite wide open IMO and any number of countries could end up top 5 which is making it very exciting!
  20. Apparently they have just been doing the dress rehearsal for tomorrow and some interesting comments over at digitalspy. Denmark were very good and Austria went down a storm but apparently Sweden's glass didn't break on time and Estonia sounded awful. I always had a feeling that there could be a few shocks tomorrow night. If Austria and Denmark get good slots on Saturday I think they could be contenders actually (especially the latter).
  21. Mel B is actually going to be a X Factor but as an Australian judge
  22. Don't forget Coldplay back in 2008 as well. Really hoping Adele can go to #1 in the coming weeks
  23. simonf posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
Sorry, singles - A Night Like This.
  24. simonf posted a post in a topic in Pop and Country
This seems to be finally taking off in Germany, its now #3 on itunes (I actually wouldn't rule out a #1 at this stage). Even more impressive, its also #1 in Austrian itunes and has a BIG lead.
  25. I'm loving this myself, may be Nayer is the female vocalist? To be honest I prefer this to David Guetta's newie at the moment. Its gonna be HUGE IMO, its almost #1 on German itunes and top 10 in the USA/Australia itunes amongst others and that's without a video. IMO its going top 5 at least, though I reckon top 3 is realistic.
