I'm in shock already, Poker face didnt make it? I guess it just shows that sales in Ireland have been low this past few years. I mean being beaten by Smack that? :lol: I cant believe some songs are so high already, journey and Bloodhound gang :blink:

Thanks Shaky, i did think they couldnt have advertised it very well since you usually post about the year end charts. I have just finished listening to it, thoroughly enjoyed it. The adverts were a bit annoying so at least i could skip them. I did think it was quite random they didnt play TI and how they played remixes of Kelly and Beyonce and played completely the wrong version of Jai Ho. I am thoroughly looking forward to the end of decade chart, especially since not many countries are doing it and the Irish chart is one of the favs. It will be interesting to see what songs make it....

The 'freeze' as such looks like it is affecting Wiley IMO. Didnt the same thing happen for Just Dance last year? I remember it took most of the week for it to really get going and many thinking it wasnt going to be as big as predicted. I think the next week both Riverside and Replay will be new entries in the top 2.

It certainly could end up going to #1, i reckon Joe could take a 3rd and 4th week seeing as its selling so much though and replay could climb. I think Riverside could do very well too, the fake version has been just outside the itunes top 100 for about 3 weeks now (and has been HIGHER than the fake Iyaz) so its bound to go top 10 at least too and give Iyaz a run for his money. (Fireflies by Owl City will also be huge, the fake version has also been charting well already). The itunes chart usually freezes over Xmas in ALL countries, expect it to be sorted within the coming days.

Awww shame I missed it, i like listening to the year end chart each year but never mind, i may listen to it later tonight. The only shock is that Alexandra Burke - Hallelujah is still at #6 of the year when it was #2 last year. Has there ever been another song that has been that high for 2 years? It would be a shame if Poker Face and IGF were taken over at the last minute, though at least we kinda know that the top 3 must be close or over 30,000 sales is quite informative though (judging by the commentary on chart track). Did they mention the decade end chart at all? Shaky would you mind confirming the date and time that is on? As i really dont wanna miss it.

I do think this will do better than most people expect, i'd say top 5 as its already getting strong tv play, r1 are supporting it and they are bound to do promo in release week. if it fails to go top 10 id be very shocked

I think theres a strong chance of #1, though even I'm surprised how high the fake version is already, is it being played anywhere yet? I fully expect them to release the digital version by the end of January, otherwise the fake version will chart very high.

I may be in the minority but i actually think it may do quite well, there's not much out that week (bar Example) with the fact its getting good tv play so far and its already b listed on R1 i think it could potentially go top 5

Agreed about Marina, could go either way, think the album will do well though. I think Sid will do it personally but could be a good battle. I'm curious why people think Justin Bieber will do it though, doesnt strike me as a #1 at all, top 5 maybe but its not gonna be massive is it? Or am i missing something

I reckon Wiley will be the first new #1 of 2010 (its growing on me alot recently) Following week will be Riverside I think. If the label are smart and make available the clean edit, dirty version AND the original version then it all should count together and it wouldnt surprise me if there were multiple entries in the Itunes top 20 (similar how Day N' Night was earlier in the year). Does Iyaz have a video yet? I could see it climbing to #1 actually. Fireflies and Telephone are big potential #1s in February i think, though i dont think there are that many big contenders in late January are there? Girls Can't Catch, Justin Bieber, Marina and Example will be big but im not convinced any will the top spot but who knows?

It wouldnt surprise me if they still bring the release of Owl City forward (at least digitally like Kesha), simply because there is already a fake version charting in the top 300 of itunes, which will only shoot up when promo starts in the new year. He is also against Ellie on 22nd who is bound to top the sound of 2010. Interestingly the other song i think is a serious contender for #1 in 2010 is also out 22nd - Telephone.

Although I see what your saying and agree with what your saying about holding back releases, it certainly hasn't stopped tons of acts from having success, just look at Lady Gaga released 5/6 months before releasing here. Plus the average music buyer won't have heard it yet until it gets radio/tv play in the new year.

Its a great track but it only had 4 full days worth of sales to debut at #2. The Aussie chart runs from Friday to Thursday and it was only made available late Sunday. He may still do it next week but he'll need large physical sales like Wes last year as he's fallen from #1 on itunes. Great to see Owl City shooting up, and nice to see Telephone enter. I still think Tik Tok will have a 8/9 week run at #1 though

He'll prob be top 5 on the BBC top 20 and will get quite alot of hype I think. I see no reason why this won't be #1 and thats what im predicting, though its hard to tell this early on as we don't know the full release schedule yet. Its certainly exploding now, its been #1 on USA and Denmark, #2 in Canada and already top 3 in NZ plus its just gone to #1 on Netherland itunes.

Loving the NZ charts this year as usual. Does anyone know the main download sites over there? Obviously theres itunes and digirama but there must be a bigger site there too. Owl City was #1 ALL of last week on itunes and also #1 most of the week on digirama yet its still #3. Anyone know of any other sites there?

It won't let you buy it yet, just says for pre-order. It does say out on 21st November so presumingly it'll be out at midnight?

Mariah doesnt stand a chance IMO, may go top 10 if shes lucky. Susan or Jason Derulo have more, though i think more people will buy Susan's album to be honest. Also don't forget the Peter Kay single for Children In Need is out Monday after its premier tomorrow night. Ok so we can't judge as it hasnt leaked yet but I wouldnt rule it out either. It'd have to be amazing or have a great video though.
