  1. This has debuted at #1 in Wallony and #3 in Flanders
  2. If it does it would have been brought forward to avoid Ariana
  3. I've been enjoying the NZ chart again the last couple of years. Whats the record for longest stay in the top 10? In the Air has been quietly building its stay and is moving down quite slowly. I am a bit surprised that it hasn't been launched worldwide actually and that its stayed a local (massive) hit. Any idea why its been so big? I really thought earlier in the year it would cross over, even if it was just Australia.
  4. It will be interesting to see where BTS land at the weekend. I know the digital #1 can't be selling more than 1,000-2,000 nowadays but it has an incredible lead on itunes and its top 20 on Spotify. If it wasn't for WAP's massive streams I would have bet it could have been a #1 for them.
  5. I'm a bit gutted that If It Ain't Me isn't on there. Didn't Dua say that it would be coming at some point? I wonder if there is a plan to released a deluxe edition towards Christmas?
  6. I am not sure if this questions has been asked before but I have been using LivePopBars for many years. However, I have recently noticed that's figures (bars) don't match Kworb like they used to. Therefore, does anyone know which one is more accurate? For example, Little Mix is doing double on Kworb but on LivePopBars its only 0.73. Its different in all countries, not just the UK though.
  7. What about Danny Amazing in 2012? I would imagine that could have won the whole thing too if that had been chosen and not Loreen. I would imagine that would have gone to Eurovision any other year.
  8. Did they count down the top 10 of the year like they have the last few years?
  9. What a great idea for a thread. I thought about doing a similar thread. Some great examples. Friends forever and is passion would have been massive here. I am always surprised some songs are never pushed here. I've always wondered why? Or even why Ireland get them and we don't. How about daddy dj? Massive euro hit in 2001 Also aicha by outlandish. Big hit in 2003 and thought it had lots of potential here. I also why uk labels don't cover euro songs more. For example no angels had some big pop songs and whilst they were geared to the German market some of their songs could have easily been covered by a UK group. Break my stride by unique ii is one of my fav songs. I still can't believe it wasn't pushed here. In 1997 it would have easily gone top 3 in my opinion
  10. I discovered this song last week and feel it has the potential to be a big summer hit here (if given the chance). Its already been a big hit in Norway and #1 on airplay there. I could see radio getting behind it here too.. lxp1Qju9qog?list=RDlxp1Qju9qog
  11. Definitely. I am always telling this to my husband that there is a gap in the market for a fun europop group/act. Most people would assume there is no interest in them but no-one is doing this type of pop anymore for anyone to know. There are a quite a few gaps in the market at the moment. I am surprised there's no boybands anymore, I am sure there would be a market for them! As for KeiiNo it's almost a shame that its attached to Eurovision as I think it could have been a hit with a push.

I've been reading my old chart books recently so looking forward to these. I will definitely get the 00s and 10s single ones. Though I may ask to get some for Christmas/Birthday later in the year (depending on when they all come out). Obviously the 10s one will be last and out next year.
  13. Oh I am loving the new Sheppard song. I am rooting for that and I think it would do pretty well at Eurovision. Zero Gravity is growing on me though. Sheppard is already #12 on Australian iTunes, think it could do quite well in Europe too. Does anyone know how the format will work on this? Is it just the song with the most votes wins?

    Officially #1 in Sweden!

This is now #1 on Swedish Spotify and its beginning to climb in a few European Countries too. I hope it gets a proper push.
  16. Do you have an update for the Singles YTD?

This is becoming incredibly addictive after a few listens. I hope it takes off at some point, its already #11 on Swedish Spotify too.
  18. Has this song even got an official video yet?

I am still shocked la passion was never pushed either, it would have been an easy top 3 here I think (it got to #2 In Ireland). In my mind is doing big things in Europe just gone to #1 In Germany
  20. I've been enjoying Ireland's chart this year, shame the UK rules are being transferred over. However, in more interesting news for the first time in YEARS, the OCC have revealed the best selling singles this year and they've given sale figures.. Link God's Plan is #1 with 75k.
  21. I'd love for one kiss to get there but I think it's time has passed. Youngblood could be number one for a while as they are on the voice at the weekend, unless better now can overtake. I must say that I am finding the digital chart more interesting than the main chart at the moment.
  22. I was thinking about the BGT Semi's earlier and wondered who they may get this year. Camila Cabello, Anne-Marie, Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne, maybe Ariana Grande? Equally they may just get some random BGT finalists from previous years instead -_-
  23. I think this is America could hit number one, it's now hit iTunes in Australia and I can see it doing it here and being big on spotify
  24. I had hoped that one kiss would manage number one but it's lead on iTunes never got big enough sadly. Still, it's now track 1 on hot hits Australia and the video is about to drop so it could provide post Malone with some competition. Speaking of post Malone I think psycho will climb to number one this week. I'd say it's a likely safe bet better now will overtake over next week at the moment unless one kiss or something else pulls away
  25. Its such a shame that download sales have fell so hard recently. I still can't believe that Zombie #1 there. The overall chart is becoming very urban dominated thanks to streaming. I am loving Hurt Somebody and its picking up on streaming now so hopefully it can at least go top 10, I wonder if it can become a hit worldwide?
