  1. I'd say that's a safe bet. Unless something from the Brits helps a song shoot to the top (Like Rihanna/Adele) then I am expecting Mike Posner to challenge for #1 in a few weeks. I suspect Alan Walker could be a contender at some point too. it will be interesting to see what happens with Rihanna with the video out on Monday, it will surely climb to #2 anyway.
  2. It wouldn't surprise me if I Took A Pill In Ibiza challenged for the top spot in a month or so, the video will be out soon too which will help. I don't see anything challenging 7 Years for a few weeks away (unless a song performed at the Brits shoots a song(s) up. Work will probably reclimb once the video comes out.
  3. Has anyone got links to the weblink?

Anyone else think that this could get really big in the UK? I mean top 3 success? Its success in Europe reminds me a bit of Are You With Me. Its now been #1 in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Austria so far but looks like it could reach the top in the few more.
  5. I'd say so, if it doesn't make it next week then it certainly will the week after.
  6. In the last update 7 Years is now up to 0.84 - I think its now TOTD on Radio 1. Fast Car is also up to 0.93. I wonder if next week 7 Years will bypass Fast Car and jump to #1? 7 Years may fall back with the weekend effect though but it could end up rather close. I think Fast Car could now just peak at #2.
  7. The next few weeks will be interesting for #1s Next week it wouldn't surprise me if Fast Car is the sales #1 but could get stuck at #2 due to Zayn's streams (i'd imagine Zayn's streams may slow a bit next week though). 7 Years is climbing very quick on streaming and sales so could definitely be a contender too. I didn't think Work had much of a chance to begin with but her sales seem to holding up well and if she puts the song/album on Spotify then she could certainly get close (FFS was #1 on streaming too).
  8. I will never understand why they never pushed Aisha here, it was massive in Europe in 2003 and would have done well here too i'm sure. One of those weird cases that a huge hit in Europe never crosses over here.
  9. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow with Zayn releasing, I am sure it will zoom to #1? I have only heard a clip from Rihanna but it seemed ok, I suspect her lead will be greatly reduced by tomorrow. I am sure she will release it to Spotify in a few weeks like she did with FFS. Is 7 Years getting any airplay at all, its now up to #12 and I fail to believe its not getting supported at all? I wonder if Heart are playing it? Go Zara! Its nearly top 10 on Spotify so I'd say top 10 on iTunes could end up happening in the next week or so.
  10. Apparently Zayn's debut single comes out on Friday 29th so it will be interesting to see how that does?
  11. Is this being played on the radio? It seems to be climbing quite a bit recently, I wonder if a station Heart has got onboard with it early? (its impact isn't due until mid March so I'd imagine it'll be a few weeks before Radio 1 jumps on board - if they do)
  12. Jonas Blue seems to be climbing very quickly now, wonder if it could be a #1 contender in a few weeks? Its currently #1 on Australian iTunes.
  13. Thanks shaky for the updates. I listened to the first few hours but had to go out. It was very interesting and quite different to the UK as well.
  14. Cool Thanks for the tip. Can anyone listen to RTE Player or do you have to be a Ireland resident?
  15. Owww I bet that will be good. Will you be listening to it / posting the top 100 here? I'll try to listen but I'm out on new years day
  16. its currently #1 on the Australian iTunes so it looks like its gonna be big!

How about Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots? It seems to be exploding in the US at the moment (top 5 on iTunes) so could be an alternative hit at some point. Fast Car by Jonas Blue? It has zoomed top 3 on Australian iTunes randomly but considering he is British and it continues the House trend it wouldn't surprise me if it gets some support
  18. It will be interesting to see what songs take advantage of the New Year lull and surge upwards after Christmas. Obviously Justin Bieber and Adele will still be high but I wonder if Sigala or Grace could actually sneak a week at #1? A bit how songs like Scream & Shout, What's My Name etc did previously? I am sure there are also a few songs lingering in the latter half of the chart that could climb next year like Take Me To Church did this year.

7 Years definitely has potential I think, and hopefully will get pushed at some point. If Ed Sheeran had sung a song like that it'd be big. Its doing well in Europe at the moment so it could certainly cross over. Also: Matt Simons - Catch & Release - been big in Europe so could catch on here. Elle King - Ex's & Oh's - I know its just been added to the R1 playlist so it'd probably do well anyway but I can see this picking up steam after the New Year.
  20. Is it true there's gonna be another batch of tickets? If so does anyone know when they are due to come out?
  21. Finally managed to get tickets for the Semi final 2 on Thursday so am pleased about that. We did try other tickets but had no luck, the AWS site kept crashing sadly but at least we got tickets. Next stop getting accommodation (apparently there's not a lot about and the ones that are available are quite expensive?). Does anyone have any tips or where the best sites to look at?
  22. I was but the website isn't very good, its let me pick tickets and it keeps crashing and kicking me out :(
  23. I was literally now coming onto this thread to ask if anyone had any news on when the tickets would come out. Anyone know what website is the best one to get them from? Or at least try to considering it will probably be hard to get them.
  24. It's because back then US labels used to hold back digital released I think, therefore big songs took a few weeks to be released. It happened lots but Right Round & Boom Boom Pow were probably the last major songs to be released that way until everything went OA/OS
  25. Adele already has a massive lead already, its going to get even bigger as the day goes on. Has this been released worldwide yet?
