  1. Thanks shaky for the updates. I listened to the first few hours but had to go out. It was very interesting and quite different to the UK as well.
  2. Cool Thanks for the tip. Can anyone listen to RTE Player or do you have to be a Ireland resident?
  3. Owww I bet that will be good. Will you be listening to it / posting the top 100 here? I'll try to listen but I'm out on new years day
  4. its currently #1 on the Australian iTunes so it looks like its gonna be big!

How about Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots? It seems to be exploding in the US at the moment (top 5 on iTunes) so could be an alternative hit at some point. Fast Car by Jonas Blue? It has zoomed top 3 on Australian iTunes randomly but considering he is British and it continues the House trend it wouldn't surprise me if it gets some support
  6. It will be interesting to see what songs take advantage of the New Year lull and surge upwards after Christmas. Obviously Justin Bieber and Adele will still be high but I wonder if Sigala or Grace could actually sneak a week at #1? A bit how songs like Scream & Shout, What's My Name etc did previously? I am sure there are also a few songs lingering in the latter half of the chart that could climb next year like Take Me To Church did this year.

7 Years definitely has potential I think, and hopefully will get pushed at some point. If Ed Sheeran had sung a song like that it'd be big. Its doing well in Europe at the moment so it could certainly cross over. Also: Matt Simons - Catch & Release - been big in Europe so could catch on here. Elle King - Ex's & Oh's - I know its just been added to the R1 playlist so it'd probably do well anyway but I can see this picking up steam after the New Year.
  8. Is it true there's gonna be another batch of tickets? If so does anyone know when they are due to come out?
  9. Finally managed to get tickets for the Semi final 2 on Thursday so am pleased about that. We did try other tickets but had no luck, the AWS site kept crashing sadly but at least we got tickets. Next stop getting accommodation (apparently there's not a lot about and the ones that are available are quite expensive?). Does anyone have any tips or where the best sites to look at?
  10. I was but the website isn't very good, its let me pick tickets and it keeps crashing and kicking me out :(
  11. I was literally now coming onto this thread to ask if anyone had any news on when the tickets would come out. Anyone know what website is the best one to get them from? Or at least try to considering it will probably be hard to get them.

Or they would do what many compilations do around the world and just make it a single disc and reduce the price. The brand will be around for many years to come in some form I think, they certainly will want to get to #100.
  13. It's because back then US labels used to hold back digital released I think, therefore big songs took a few weeks to be released. It happened lots but Right Round & Boom Boom Pow were probably the last major songs to be released that way until everything went OA/OS
  14. Adele already has a massive lead already, its going to get even bigger as the day goes on. Has this been released worldwide yet?

When is the album out in the US? (Now 56 I mean)
  16. Yeah Adam has the advantage at the moment (I am really surprised how well Adam has held up actually) but if Delta gets a decent lead on iTunes she could have an outside chance I think. Had One Direction not had such a big lead over last weekend Adam could have been #1 judging from the sale figures (he sold about 18,000 which is the same/more than what Lost Frequencies/Meghan were recently selling). Whilst streaming could affect the outcome, I am sure Delta will have some too and it won't make more than a 1000 or 2000 sales difference. I am really loving the Australian chart this year and its had a good set of #1s IMO. I'd watch out for Locked Away, seems to be climbing quite quickly at the moment.

Rachel Platten isn't out until 31st July now so it won't be added for a few weeks (if at all)
  18. Black Magic will go to #1 now I'd imagine, unless something comes out of the blue. The battle between Lost Frequencies & Tinie Tempah is getting harder to call. LF is catching up on pre-orders but also has a fake version at #58 which must be affecting the pre-orders too! it will be interesting to see what happens there.

It'll be interesting if they can get songs like Love Me Like You Do or See You Again? I am half expecting that they won't be able to though. CD1 will definitely start with Cheerleader.

I'd imagine the new Global release date thing in July won't stop singles being held back very much, i'd imagine it will help albums more considering most European countries/Australia etc already get albums released on Fridays? Speaking of Australia, I wish we had more of a chart like there, nothing is held back and their chart always feels quite fresh even if there are long stayers. I don't think sales will die out completely (unless the labels want that?), there will always be a demand for it and people will still want to buy the big songs, just not in the quantities that we are used to. I quite like the streaming chart (even if it is slow moving) but I guess it was always going to be included at some point. One thing I've found odd this year is how few #1s we have had compared to last year however, it does feel like there hasn't been THAT many big releases like last year. Through the Spring and Summer last year there was always a big song out each week (most of which entered at #1) but it hasn't happened this year at all which I don't think has helped the staleness of the chart either.
  21. I agree about Jason but it wouldn't surprise me I Natalie gets stuck at #2. I am not sure what to think of Krept and Konan though. I really like the Rachel Platten so I hope that catches on. I agree about Rudimental but I can see it going top 5. Some people are predicting Leona but again, I think it'll just go top 5. I can see Walk the Moon hanging around for a while too. I wonder if Maroon 5 newie could be in with a shot too.
  22. I wonder what the next few #1s will be over the next month or two? If Bills doesn't get there at the weekend then I'd imagine Omi will get 4 weeks there. Jason Derulo will be an obvious #1 but i'm unsure what will be #1 after? I can see Natalie La Rose and Walk The Moon being big but I can't necessarily them reaching #1. I guess Rudimental could do it but I'm not sure they can do at the moment.

Yeah I used to use that site, shame its not updating. Cool thanks for that, Omi is getting very close to overtaking Wiz then!

Is there a site where you can actually see the daily streams? Or do you actually have to have Spotify on your PC to see it? I was just curious how far behind Omi was behind Wiz? I know it was slowly catching up the other week.
  25. Its just gone back to #1. Wiz always seems to gain a bit in the evening but Omi catches up during the day. I am half expecting Omi to regain the lead in the morning.
