2015 Australian Chart Thread - Year End Charts
Yeah Adam has the advantage at the moment (I am really surprised how well Adam has held up actually) but if Delta gets a decent lead on iTunes she could have an outside chance I think. Had One Direction not had such a big lead over last weekend Adam could have been #1 judging from the sale figures (he sold about 18,000 which is the same/more than what Lost Frequencies/Meghan were recently selling). Whilst streaming could affect the outcome, I am sure Delta will have some too and it won't make more than a 1000 or 2000 sales difference. I am really loving the Australian chart this year and its had a good set of #1s IMO. I'd watch out for Locked Away, seems to be climbing quite quickly at the moment.

Radio 1 Discussion 2015, Part I
Rachel Platten isn't out until 31st July now so it won't be added for a few weeks (if at all)

iTunes Weekly Thread w/c 7th June 2015
Black Magic will go to #1 now I'd imagine, unless something comes out of the blue. The battle between Lost Frequencies & Tinie Tempah is getting harder to call. LF is catching up on pre-orders but also has a fake version at #58 which must be affecting the pre-orders too! it will be interesting to see what happens there.

NOW 91
It'll be interesting if they can get songs like Love Me Like You Do or See You Again? I am half expecting that they won't be able to though. CD1 will definitely start with Cheerleader.

Streaming is killing the charts
I'd imagine the new Global release date thing in July won't stop singles being held back very much, i'd imagine it will help albums more considering most European countries/Australia etc already get albums released on Fridays? Speaking of Australia, I wish we had more of a chart like there, nothing is held back and their chart always feels quite fresh even if there are long stayers. I don't think sales will die out completely (unless the labels want that?), there will always be a demand for it and people will still want to buy the big songs, just not in the quantities that we are used to. I quite like the streaming chart (even if it is slow moving) but I guess it was always going to be included at some point. One thing I've found odd this year is how few #1s we have had compared to last year however, it does feel like there hasn't been THAT many big releases like last year. Through the Spring and Summer last year there was always a big song out each week (most of which entered at #1) but it hasn't happened this year at all which I don't think has helped the staleness of the chart either.

I agree about Jason but it wouldn't surprise me I Natalie gets stuck at #2. I am not sure what to think of Krept and Konan though. I really like the Rachel Platten so I hope that catches on. I agree about Rudimental but I can see it going top 5. Some people are predicting Leona but again, I think it'll just go top 5. I can see Walk the Moon hanging around for a while too. I wonder if Maroon 5 newie could be in with a shot too.

I wonder what the next few #1s will be over the next month or two? If Bills doesn't get there at the weekend then I'd imagine Omi will get 4 weeks there. Jason Derulo will be an obvious #1 but i'm unsure what will be #1 after? I can see Natalie La Rose and Walk The Moon being big but I can't necessarily them reaching #1. I guess Rudimental could do it but I'm not sure they can do at the moment.

Spotify Chart Thread 2015, Part I
Yeah I used to use that site, shame its not updating. Cool thanks for that, Omi is getting very close to overtaking Wiz then!

Spotify Chart Thread 2015, Part I
Is there a site where you can actually see the daily streams? Or do you actually have to have Spotify on your PC to see it? I was just curious how far behind Omi was behind Wiz? I know it was slowly catching up the other week.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 26th April 2015
Its just gone back to #1. Wiz always seems to gain a bit in the evening but Omi catches up during the day. I am half expecting Omi to regain the lead in the morning.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 26th April 2015
Not necessarily, Wiz is only roughly 4,000 streaming sales and Omi was catching Wiz up on streaming too. It could be close but if Omi gets a decent lead it 'could' take the #1.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 26th April 2015
It wouldn't surprise me if she is #1 by the end of the day with the speed she is climbing, she jumped from 0.39 to 0.60 in one update. Though obviously she wont be able to maintain that kind of jump for too long.

I am actually beginning to think Carly has a shot at #1 afterall, think it could all depend on streams this week. Also Omi is getting quite close to overtaking Wiz on iTunes, I wonder if he can overtake him in the next couple of weeks?
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 19th April 2015
If its going to take the #1, it'll probably be the week after next. It keeps falling in the evenings a bit (likely because people buy Wiz after seeing the film in the evening).

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 19th April 2015
Omi has just made a big jump, its now at 0.83 according Kworb. Has it been played or promoted somewhere?

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 19th April 2015
I think she may get stuck behind both to be honest. Both will be getting close to or even over 30,000 in just streaming sales alone, she may be able to beat them on download sales though. I can see Omi and Wiz both selling over 100,000 for a few weeks. It will be interesting to see what happens as Omi was catching up to Wiz last week but it certainly won't overtake anytime soon. I guess the next likely #1 will be LunchMoney Lewis? Though it certainly not guaranteed. If not may be Jason Derulo? I can't see any major challenge coming up apart from Carly next week.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 12th April 2015
To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if Omi got in the way of Carly either (especially with streaming). It could be an interesting battle though. Has anyone noticed that everything is beginning to move closer to Wiz? Omi has been constantly gaining over the past few days. I don't think it will overtake Wiz anytime soon but it will be interesting what happens in a few weeks. I've noticed Omi gains most in the day and Wiz gains slightly in the evening, presumingly because people buy it after they've watched the film in the evening?

Omi vs. Wiz Khalifa
I am still not convinced that Carly will do it, especially if Omi and Wiz have massive streams etc. Wiz is easily going to be #1 this week but there may be a slight chance Omi could overtake at some point, Wiz will be frontloaded too thanks to the film so its just going to depend who falls quicker.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 12th April 2015
Shame for Omi but I knew Wiz would beat it, at least initially. Apart from possibly Carly, there may be a chance that Omi will climb up at some point. Wiz will also be incredibly frontloaded thanks to the film too so it will be interesting what happens

Wiz Khalifa 'See You Again' (feat. Charlie Puth)
I do hope the label takes this off album only soon. It will surely happen in the next couple of weeks? If its out this week it will be up against Omi though I think Wiz would actually win anyway

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 5th April 2015
Glad to see Cheerleader is finally being released. Surprised there's been no word when Wiz is being released yet to be honest. It must be within the next couple of weeks. If Cheerleader doesn't stop Carly getting #1, I am certain Wiz will
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 5th April 2015
I am still stocked that See you Again by Wiz Khalifa is still album only. It'd surely be #1 by now considering its now #1 in most major markets. Oddly enough you can buy the song individually on Amazon!

Sheppard - Geronimo
I still think the label are hoping that with its success in america that it will finally get supported. Id have personally taken it off preorder and readded it during summer. It just looks silly keep postponing a preorder. Its strange that it hasnt been supported at all though.

New Release Schedule: Monday 9 March
Its not to be fair. I can only assume they are hoping Radio 1 jump on board (as Capital are now playing it)
