I am still half expecting the label to postpone the release until January. I now taking off in Europe and picking up steam in the states so would make sense (exactly what happened with Am I Wrong)
  2. I always found it weird how it never took off. I always think la passion could have been massive here if promoted (dare I say #1 too). I think thats a case with alot of big European hits at the time. I am still surprised that daddy dj never done anything over here too.
  3. Its weird because the year actually started with some longer runners like Rather Be/Happy. Its crazy how many one weekers we are having.

I wonder if any warner songs will be on it or if they still haven't come to a deal
  5. Looks like Nico & Vinz is postponed as its no longer a pre-order on itunes. I'd imagine they will leave it a month or two as its now exploding in the US and Australia
  6. Canada's record is Elton John with Candle in the Wind 1997, it stayed at #1 for 46 weeks (non-consec). It had a run of 35 weeks, 7 weeks, 3 weeks and then appeared (randomly) at #1 again in 2002! I think it was top 3 for 2 years too.
  7. I see that Ace is getting a release in Germany in June so it look like they are going to promote it in Europe. I can see it being a big hit.
  8. Sales are much larger than that, the number one regularly sells more than 30k, I think Happy sold about 37,000 a few weeks ago. I still remember how bad when sales were in 2006 where the #1 would barely sell 5,000. I do have some archives sales of #1s somewhere which I could post if someone is interested (nothing from the last few years though). I do remember Gangnam Style selling close to 70,000 one week and One Direction debuted at #2 with 57,000, which was the highest sale for a #2 back in 2012.
  9. Im a bit gutted that I missed it especially as it seems like it was very tense. I was rooting for ace but I liked sanna so it's still a good result. I wonder if this could work in aces favour though. I could it becoming a big European hit if done right which it may not have done with the eurovision tag. Hkpefully her label will push it
  10. I'm surprised no-one has mentioned that Hozier is STILL top 10 after 21 weeks!! :w00t: That is incredible and must surely be getting close to some sort of record, especially as it never went to #1? Hope its launched in the UK (I know he is touring in the Summer), still think it could be BIG.
  11. Clean Bandit now at #10!
  12. Knowing the UK label though it could be held back to help its success. If the song is good/amazing it could be very big!

I can think of a few more John Legend - All Of Me - Seems to be doing big things especially in Australia so can see that being big Great Big World/Christina Aguilera - Say Something - Becoming big in America so could break through Magic! - Rude - Shot up the Australian Itunes, could take off Envy - Am I Wrong? - Has already been massive in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark, was recently taken off itunes which suggests they will release it here.

Its gonna be very interesting, I want to say #1 but James has the X Factor performance. Interestingly Lorde is now firmly ahead on pre-orders and is actually #1 on Irish Itunes which is sometimes a good indication. It'll be #2 at the lowest IMO either way.
  15. Pre-Orders 132. Fatboy Slim & Riva Starr - Eat Sleep Rave Repeat (Calvin Harris Mix) 145. James Arthur - You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You 160. Lorde - Royals These pre-orders look like they will be huge. I wonder if Fatboy Slim could actually go to #1 as its not out for another month?! The battle with James Arthur and Lorde could be interesting too. I'd expect James to win (especially with an X Factor performance) but with Lorde doing so well in America it could be a dark horse. I am sure its climbed loads as I am sure if it was in the 900s earlier in the week.
  16. I think it probably will, after being massive in NZ and Australia, its now taking off in America which is always a good sign. I can see Radio 1 backing her anyway.
  17. Royals by Lorde is out on 20th October according to Amazon/itunes. Her album follows the following week.
  18. Icona Pop is definitely out on the 23rd June, itunes have amended the date accordingly. Will be quite an interesting battle and I actually worry that The Wanted will beat it (its been getting big airplay and I can see it clearing 100k). I'd imagine Icona Pop will #1 on the Itunes Album chart but The Wanted will obviously debut high on the singles side due to the pre-order.
  19. Whilst I agree Icona Pop should come out asap I don't necessarily think it will affect long term sales too much. Many songs are held back and it just means they end up having massive first week sales. Payphone was held back for 6 weeks and a fake version even went top 10 and yet Payphone opened with 140k and sold 700k. So there are always exceptions to the rule IMO. I think releasing it next week would be perfect. The John Newman Vs Icona Pop could be quite exciting. Even though John is now ahead in pre-orders, that doesnt necessarily mean it will win it. Could be quite close in the end. I can see both doing over 100k anyway.
  20. Just noticed that the fake of I Love It has finally been deleted...until the next one comes along anyway.
  21. I am rather surprised that it hasn't been deleted yet (unless it can't be deleted - I am not sure what the exact rules are). I wonder if the label will move the release to this weekend? Prob not but you never know.
  22. Just seen that the fake version of I Love It is up to #74. Will be interesting to see if they delete it or bring the single release forward. I suspect it will get deleted though.
  23. I actually think Icona Pop will move forward the release though I do hope they wait a few weeks so Robin can have its moment (I'm not convinced Icona will reach #1 but it'll be massive regardless) Whilst Robin will be #1, I wonder how front loaded it will be? I can see it debuting with over 100k anyway. I was convinced Passenger would go to #1 (like elsewhere in the World), guess #2 will be its peak now with so many songs now about to come out, it'll have a nice sales total though.
  24. That video that the Box/4Music etc show its definitely not the official video for Daft Punk, probably one they made for TV. I see Passenger is finally climbing, now up to 0.60, it'll take another couple of weeks to catch up. I can see what will happen, it will finally get close to overtaking DP in a few weeks, only for Robin Thicke to release and Passenger will get stuck at #2! Can totally see that happening too. Shame about Livepopbars, site has been funny for a while but I do hope it starts working again!
  25. Easy #1 I'd say. Its scheduled for release for the 16th June but with the pre-order doing so well on itunes I reckon the label will bring it forward for release in the next couple of weeks. If not, its gonna have MASSIVE first week sales.
