iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 5th May 2013
Thank you, I am almost sure they may bring that date forward especially if the fake version and pre-order continue to climb.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 5th May 2013
That's interesting, I couldnt find Robin Thicke for pre-order the other day. Does it still say 16th June as the expected delivery date does anyone know or has the date been brought forward?

I think Blurred Lines is an easy #1 in a few weeks. In fact, though its supposed to be out the 16th June, I can see the label bringing the release forward and it could be the song to knock DP off the top. Whilst Passenger hasn't peaked yet, it wouldnt surprise me if it gets stuck at #2, thats unless he does some promo or its used in the Voice or something. The DP lead is still incredible, I wonder how long it will that big?

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 5th May 2013
I completely agree with your first point, I can see Naughty Boy and Wretch going top 3/5 but not quite enough to overtake Daft Punk. Of course Passenger could get stuck at #2/#3 but like you say, it still has a chance, after all several songs over the years have climbed like Fun. & Gotye plus LHG isn't even in full rotation on TV/Radio yet. DP can't hold that lead for more than a couple more weeks surely? Who knows. I just have a feeling Union J won't quite get it, think it will depend on Capital/Radio 1 airplay. I agree The Wanted will probably go to #1 though. June could be quite competitive with Robin Thicke (which I can see going to #1), Jason Derulo, Icona Pop (judging by the Mobile ad its getting released at some point in June). Isn't Jessie J supposed to be releasing as well?

I think Daft Punk will have a 4/5 weeks run at the top as there doesn't seem to be any big new releases over the coming weeks (at least not #1 contenders anyway). Passenger may be lucky to sneak in a week (as its sure to not peak for a couple of weeks yet) but I do fear that it could stall at #2 but still with big sales. Am I the only one who think that Union J doesn't have a hope at being #1? There's more contenders for #1 in June though like Jason Derulo and Robin Thicke.

New Release Schedule: Monday 29th April
Considering Blurred Lines success worldwide so far, I can see that beating Jason to be honest.

Summer Anthems of 2013?
How odd, its also been taken off pre-order on Amazon too. The label are thinking it will still flop but surely they may as well release it anyway? I'm sure it will get a release at some point though.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 28th April 2013
To be honest I think Passenger is just going to grow and grow over the coming weeks, its only now just starting to get airplay afterall. I do however think Daft Punk is going to be a big threat and could even stop Chris Malinchak reaching #1 next week too.

I Love It (with Icona Pop)
Its certainly having amazing success, it'll certainly go top 10 on the Hot 100, its still gaining on airplay too. I do hope this success will be enough to push it in the UK but I still fear it will get ignored here (hopefully I am wrong as I can still see this being huge here).

New Release Schedule - 22nd April 2013
Agreed with your predictions though do you really think Robin Thicke will be #1? it is catchy though. Not convinced Union J will make it either, its high on preorders but that will fall pretty quickly. I'd love Icona Pop to do it but don't think it will sadly, at least not to begin with. Isn't Jessie J releasing new stuff soon as well? She could easily be a contender if the song is any good.

Good Delta Hit Parade: 22nd April 2013
Singles 1. Rivaz - Colors (2) (CR-2-1) - I first heard this yesterday and I really like it, wonder if it will pick up a UK release? 3. Hopefully it will be a #1 contender by late May (fingers crossed anyway) 4. Cascada - Glorious (3) (CR-7-5-11-20-19-2-2-5-8-14-13-7-6-3-4) - Shame this probably won't win but I love it, think its my fav from this year as well. 6. Margaret Berger - I Feed You My Love (10) (CR-25-4-2-3-7-14-19-18-18-14-10-10-6) 8. Zlata Ognevich - Gravity (6) (CR-33-22-29-35-37-16-8-4-3-6-8) 10. Imagine Dragons - It's Time (19) (CR-75-75-OUT-74-OUT-63-31-19-16) - I originally preferred this to Radioactive for some reason I'm now going back the other way, will have to check out their album, any good? 17. Chris Malinchak - So Good To Me (32) (CR-61-46-32-17) - Future UK #1?, certainly looking likely 19. Emmelie De Forest - Only Teardrops (25) (CR-8-11-15-21-30-41-45-52-44-41-35-25-19) - I do like this but I don't think its a certain win at all. 20. Robin Thicke feat T.I. & Pharrell Williams - Blurred Lines (Re-entry) (CR-39-OUT-20) Playlist I won't comment on everything in your playlist section but; Calvin Harris feat Ellie Goulding - I Need Your Love - Really liking this, think this may end up being my fav from this era Icona Pop feat Charli XCX - I Love It - I saw on your blog you're expecting this to be big as well. I have got everything crossed for this, especially I think this could easily go top 3 at least. I am still sadly concerned that Radio 1 will ignore it despite its success in the US. Hopefully it can repeak for you too nearer the time.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 14th April 2013
I can only assume its been played somewhere or TV stations are getting behind it? It's climbed very quickly today. Agreed with what you say though. Its surely going top 3 or #1 (its been #1 in 10 countries so far) if its gets the push. The schedule isn't exactly heavy with new releases in the next few months but you never know whats around the corner, I do hope it doesn't get stuck behind one weekers. To be honest I actually think it could end up one of the best sellers of the year.

US Billboard Hot 100 - 04/20/2013
Its great to see, it seems to have been getting big updates for the past week or so and now #6 on itunes too. I do hope the UK (i.e. Radio 1) take note of its success over there and promote it here.
-
Icona Pop - I Love It
This is a definite top 3 hit (even #1 though may be that is wishful thinking) but only if it gets promo/airplay beforehand. I still don't get why Radio 1 ignored it first time round (surely they could see the potential?). I am just hopeful that its success in the US will help it. I will be awaiting Radio 1's playlist at the end of April/early May to see if it gets playlisted. Of course it could just pick up pace once its released anyway. This and Passenger are so obvious big hits I do hope they take off..

Passenger "Let Her Go"
He's from the UK I really do hope and believe now that this will get pushed here in a couple of months. Surely being #1 in Ireland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Belgium and next week Australia will hopefully convince the label to push it. IF it does, there's not a doubt in my mind now that it would reach #1.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 10th March 2013
Yeah I think you're right about America to be honest. Its top 20 on their itunes. I can only assume they thought it was likely to flop so can repromote it in a few weeks when its bigger in America. It does seem odd though, I'd assumed that Radio 1 would have supported it. It is also odd Radio is ignoring Passenger so far, its been top 10/#1 in several countries, its even shooting up in Australia. Hopefully both songs will get support at some point.

I Love It (with Icona Pop)
I think the label have realised thats its likely going to struggle once released. They are seeing thats its taking off the US (#35 on itunes there) plus its growing pop so it wouldn't surprise me if they think its wait a couple of months and then can promote the fact that its doing well in America etc.

Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
I really like You so pleased it won, I think it could do very well at Eurovision myself. I wonder how they will take it in Sweden. I wonder if the guy in charge will be shocked at the result (can't remember his name). Annoyingly I am trying to watch it on their SVT player, I can hear the audio but can't see anything
-
Passenger "Let Her Go"
With radio support then this will be a massive hit, at least top 3 I'd say. Its the type of song radio would love (especially like Heart and Radio 2). The fact that its top 200 on itunes with no small shows it has potential, its just a question of IF it will get pushed.
-
iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 3rd March 2013
I've seen it slowly climbing itunes over the past few weeks, not sure if its getting played yet though? May be its just internet hype (i.e. people seeing it doing well on other itunes worldwide etc). Its even #1 in Ireland by a long way. If it gets promoted then it will be huge like you say. I can see it getting pushed here though, then again I thought that about Icona Pop and both radio and TV seem to have ignored it so far for some reason.

Radio 1 playlist predictions
I think this is likely to be snubbed now (at least for the moment anyway). Its only hope is that it does well first week so Radio 1/tv add it or its growth in the US (on itunes/pop radio) makes the station see sense. I am still shocked they have ignored it and I can't understand why.

Melodifestivalen 2013 / FINALEN · Stockholm
Just realised I can't watch this live (I have the last few years). Is there a link on their website so you can watch this again (like iplayer etc)?

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 24th February 2013
I am almost certain that Need U (100%) will be a UK #1 now, doing great on pre-orders. Sadly there doesn't seem to be ALOT out over the coming month or so, or at least not any obvious #1 contenders. Nicole has had a lack of airplay which I've found surprising. Sadly looks like Icona Pop could struggle on release, which shocked me as I had originally predicted it an easy top 5. Surprised its been ignored so far. It's only hope is it catches on on release and begins to get played on Radio 1 and TV. It's other hope is the fact it is still taking off in America (both on pop and Itunes) so that could get it some attention. I am also still surprised there's been no push for Passenger (Let Her Go), considering how big it is Europe (its even #1 in Ireland now), I could see it being massive if pushed (it'll surely get played by Radio 2 and Heart if nowhere else).

iTunes Album Chart: 2013
I personally think it's a certain #1, its still not out for 4 weeks.

Radio 1 playlist predictions
I'd put money on that Icona Pop WON'T be playlisted, at least not yet anyway. I think they'll ignore it for some reason. I do hope they add Pink though, surprised its not been playlisted yet.
