I feel like I really fell off the "listening to music" wagon in June, I've just been so insanely busy so I feel like songs like Hate That I Made You Love Me not even having double figure plays yet is wild. 2026: Songs 01 • 077 • Felicia - My System 02 • 071 • Zara Larsson - Midnight Sun (41 for original / 14 for Alex Chapman remix / 13 for PinkPantheress remix / 2 for Super Loud / 1 for Live) 03 • 059 • PinkPantheress & Zara Larsson - Stateside (57 for original / 2 for original) 04 • 042 • Zara Larsson - Eurosummer (30 plays for original / 12 plays for Shakira remix) 05 • 039 • FLO - Leak It 06 • 039 • Slayyyter - DANCE... 2. A very healthy 59! Will say no to any more confirmations though, if that’s okay, we have enough to catch up on 😂
  3. And as much as I’m grumpy that it costs me an AQ, we will always welcome Numayania back xo
  4. Hi guys, full transparency so we’re not just airing you all. I’ve done some of the research, currently in discussion with the mods about who can do the rest. Today’s my final 6 day working week before I leave my second job so hopefully won’t have this problem going forward and apologies to Addy for holding you up!

Slayyyter play listed though! LOVE the support this is suddenly getting.
  6. Slayyyter moving up ❤️❤️

Maybe we don’t hate AI after all!
  8. At work so I can’t give a full review but this feels like a triumph of a project. Nostalgic but not dated. Referential to the original and plucks from the same brain but is no way copying or repeating just for a cheap win. Varied, lyrically superb and the pacing of the album allows everything to breathe wonderfully. The slow start that SMASHES into Bring Your Love and then keeps you in dancefloor heaven with Danceteria? 10/10 x
  9. I’m so PISSED that she seems to be doing Never Really Over at these festivals, but she neglected it on the tour!!
  10. I’d put good money on bbno$ being a part of this lineage within 3 years of Canada being a part of the competition.
  11. It’s become a routine for me, on my way to work every Friday, adding about 40 songs to my New Music Friday playlist and then saving the ones I like to my monthly playlists. And then I try and get through them by the end of the week - I’d love to just rattle through them on a Friday but alas I do not work from home x Of course BJSC is where I find plenty of songs too and where I discover new artists, who then subsequently end up on said New Music Friday list. I’ve kinda steered away, quite a lot, in the last 2 years from following chart stuff and just focusing on what I like. I haven’t heard anything from Drake’s new album for example because I know what I like now and quite simply don’t have enough time in my life to dedicate to trying to listen to stuff I’m not going to care about when there’s so much out there that I would enjoy.
  12. Heard Mata Hari (after Dooset Daram and Mambo by Helena Paparizou, no less, what a trio) in a gay bar in Benidorm the other week and ascended. The last 20 seconds of that song are so good, glad to see you rank it this highly. 2021 was just such a strong year and there was so much female led pop that a lot of it seemed to cancel each other out - El Diablo, Adrenalina, Mata Hari, Je Me Casse all doing poorer than expected.
  13. I stopped being able to find the time for a personal chart but it’d be a snap #1 for us if I did! ❤️

    But the win was undeserved!!!!1
  15. Got to see her do this live on Saturday and it was one of the most special things I’ve ever been a part of. She turned the sound off for the first chorus and the crowd were SO loud singing it back to her ❤️
  16. God, I hated Fade To Black. And it should never have been anywhere near the final with quite literally ZERO televote points from the public in its semi. That and Boys Do Cry are two of my least favourite songs of the decade, I’d say, both dragging down 2022 significantly.

Do some of you ever sleep? 😭

I don’t think she’s ever really had a fan base like this, and I think that’s been clear for several eras now. She released super strong pop that appealed to people of all ages and were incredibly radio friendly and that was her key to success, not a huge fan base. So while you’re Gaga’s, Kylie’s and Madonna’s have kept super dedicated fan bases by being packages that people can invest in, I assume most big Katy fans have sort of moved on to the next people making super strong radio friendly pop - I know I kinda have with Sabrina, Dua, Zara etc, but I’ll always check in for her cos she’s an all time girly for me. I’m not spending money on iTunes though, that’s for sure x
  19. For me, I think it’d be Always but Mata Hari would probably run it close. I was team Drip Drop over Satellite at the time but that feeling definitely hasn’t aged well and the latter has undoubtedly stood the test of time better.
  20. Love seeing you & Travis back one contest after I narrowly missed out on winning with a K-Pop song xoxo All seriousness, ALWAYS HAPPY TO HAVE POPHUB ❤️
  21. I’m in with a song that I literally found days ago via “recommended songs you might like” after Some Kinda Heaven. Not a new song to some perhaps but a discovery for me!
  22. They get 23 points from both being top 10 artists alone (one of which multiple times), that’s without factoring in that it’s a current hit in their home nation. I’m not being particularly cryptic at this point but as I’ve said, wouldn’t beat the veto anyway x
  23. It’s a Katy Perry summer - especially with Watch It Burn no doubt coming straight in at #1 on Saturday x
  24. I’ve realised my original option is probably an auto veto, boo, was excited for my Spanish moment too 😭
  25. Knowing that Carly always writes about 400 songs for every album and has a gazillion just lying in a vault somewhere, it’s never felt more appropriate to have such an ambitious album with that level of track listing. I agree that not every album recently has been amazing but she’s always reliable for plenty of really solid melodic pop songs each go around.
