So, not my best year, but plenty to celebrate of course! 100% qualification, broke the qualification run record, made it to 50 qualifiers on the trot, got a 6th win - so, was it my most successful year? No. But I'm happy on the whole. My own fave entry: Rebecca Black - TRUST! (followed by: METTE > Victoria/Anitta > Kiesza > Pixey > Juicy Romance > Zolita > twst > Yaeger > HAYLA) My own least fave entry: HAYLA - Only I. Rooting for Kluminican Republic of the favourites (or those I think could do it). Myself… not last maybe? Fair to say, my song hasn’t received much hype and it’s probably my least favourite of the 10 I’ve sent this year.

Just had this on while I cleaned the house and feel a bit disappointed. The latter half of ballad after ballad is quite a slog to get through really, and it’s a shame given Apt has become probably in my top 20 songs of the year. You wouldn’t know she had exciting stuff like that in her back pocket with most of this genericness. It’s not bad per se, just not memorable. I enjoyed “yeah, you’ll always be a gay boy” though, and Toxic Til The End is good.

Agreed that Sash would've been my winner too, but this is the best Daft Punk song imo, so happy to plump for that!

Judas really is THAT song, my love for it over the years has just grown and grown and I've never tired of hearing it. That, Scheibe & Bad Romance are definitely my Gaga holy trinity these days.

I, unsurprisingly, love Hushkanukia’s song but I’m struggling to see why this would win if Homewrecked did so poorly. I definitely think this will do better though and it is the better song of the two! Would love for Cam to get a big hit too.

I don't see why she would, and I felt the same with Sapphira. How do you improve on pretty much perfection on your first go around? What more can La Voix possibly show in terms of growth? She's the most full package they've had on DRUK, and while I can't knock Kyran as she'd have made a superb winner on many other seasons, it does feel like a bit of a "fumble the bag" moment to let such a blatant winner just... not be to me. I mainly just wish Drag Race would stop doing this storyline where they build one queen up massively at the end of the series, just to crown the one who did well in the opening weeks, it does absolutely NOBODY justice. La Voix, Roxxxy and Sapphira this year alone, all seemed to get an edit of "this queen is running away with it, she's unstoppable and the judges are letting her know how perfect she is", only for the show to crown someone else. And it's not to take away from Kyran, Angeria or Nymphia, who all deserved it but the show creates a feeling around other queens that makes it hard not to feel disappointed in the end. That being said - what a series, what a cast of queens, one for the ages for sure, in a time when I was starting to get Drag Race fatigue.

SO GOOD! Never been to such an intense gig, if that makes sense, you barely have time to ever be pulled out of this world that she creates all on her own. She always has had such command on the stage and an undeniable stage presence, but it really is next level now. WORLD CLASS. My only criticism was felt oddly tacked on and out of place with a setlist that was otherwise meticulous.

Ella Tiritello with a Loreen writing credit definitely caught my eye 👀

OH, and too busy rooting for Physical to comment on Run Away With Me, my 2nd favourite song of all time, a timeless classic which just doesn't let up for its entire run. So happy to see it back in the top 10 where it belongs after it temporarily dipped out of affections.

I will go to my grave defending Telephone being comfortably her best collaboration x While I have softened on Die With A Smile in the last few months, it still falls short of the other 4 more so my vote goes there.

I really want Physical to have its moment and a lot of Dua rebounds are making me hopeful it could. Couldn’t be mad at the impeccable No Tears doing it either though.
