Yeah, they’re blatantly going to push Kori pretty far through this given she’s had the biggest social media presence of any queen I can think of in YEARS. Drag Race will obviously want to feel a bigger part of that than the 9th place finish she got before, a bit like Trixie but without winning the whole season I’d assume. And they’ll want her with Plane after the merge.

I was working at one of the bars on Canal Street while they were filming this so it's great to see it finally come out. I found the first episode to be a little... soundbite heavy? Like, several of the scenes gave me "this is a very unnatural monologue that lasts almost exactly one minute" for a reel/TikTok BUT I can already feel by the second episode that it's found its stride and was just a tad ham-fisted in its direction in the first episode to set the tone. Very much enjoying it and feels very time appropriate.

I actually cannot that this method helped me unearth a "nightcore / dance-pop" artist called Khadija Jannar from Saudi Arabia and I was excited to listen. Until I dug a little deeper and it's just a parody of Kylie Jenner.

Okay, while I’ve been voting for Marry The Night, I haven’t felt as passionate as Oricon. But now I see her best single (Judas) is against the ropes?! Oh, it’s serious x

Also enjoying this a lot, gives me kind of Lorde vibes but still quintessentially Ellie. Her voice sounds great - my only thing is I wish the final chorus exploded a bit more, the middle 8 feels like she's gonna give you a "what are you waiting fooooor?" lead into a huge final chorus which doesn't really come, but other than that, really enjoying it.

I think most of my reason for feeling frustrated is because I’ve liked all 12 girls so far. And I just feel like the format is doing them a disservice because before the bracket even started, me and my friend were like “well it’s obviously going to be Crystal and Silky” and here we are… it is. And I don’t think it even does them justice. I don’t feel any huge sense of triumph for Crystal that she got through but I imagine in a more normal format, I’d be rooting for her to win because I find her drag exciting but there’s something about the brackets that just makes everything feel like a foregone conclusion and not as exciting.

Yeah, I had a strong feeling this was gonna interpolate Roxette and… it does but not in a particularly exciting way. It’s decent and I do like it but I don’t think it does nearly as good of a job of taking their nostalgic cheese and adding a dash of 2020s to it, it does just straight up feel a bit dated. I’m probably only criticising it cos of how much I love Iconic though because it’s not without its charm.

Salina should’ve won every episode in this bracket, like genuinely the best in every single episode AND she was the star when it came to entertainment too. Full proof that if production do not see you in their plans then it really does not matter what you do and it’s making me really not enjoy these brackets, as they’re having to really overplay their hand to make sure their favourites make it now there’s only two slots available.

I’d love to see The Saturdays and reform in the same sentence! Just not like that x

Currently finding that my search for Saudi Arabian artist just keeps throwing me any Arabian artist, so I’ve found some lovely Bahrainians, Palestinians and Egyptians but if it could stick to the task at hand, that’d be nice x
