I think she’s done too much damage to just “go back to the drawing board”, everything will just look desperate from here on out. This really does feel like the final nail in a career killer, because this era already had a feel of “it’s the last throw of the dice to try and make a big comeback”.

This is great, for sure, about time someone from Little Mix actually felt like they were trying something not safe. And it’s paid off for sure. I’ve had about 4 listens of it now and I’m still not HOOKED, the messiness of it makes it hard to fully connect to but when it does click, I know it’s going to majorly click. My only critique is that I wish it went OFF at the end instead of going back into the ballad territory, leaves me with blue balls. Video is superb though, she’s a starrrrr.

That result feels so unfair looking at how little it needed for some others to make it :(

I find some of the reactions to this so bandwagon obvious. I very much accept the idea that people think it’s generic/sounds like AI/a re-tread of her past/average but I find it hard to believe any fan of pop thinks this is actively “omg the worst song ever created” unless they want in to it determined to think that because of the Dr Luke association.

Oh, this is actually perfect. I’m not going to sleep for hours, like everything I’ve wanted from my fave since Never Really Over and didn’t know if I’d get again. It’s the perfect blend of her stupidity which is always present in her videos, with the sexy side and then the expensive feeling about it. Sometimes the stupidity gets overdone but I think it pushes this video into being even better and feeling like Katy’s brand.

LOVE LOVE LOVE I do feel like it could do with a middle 8, and thus another 30 seconds to it, but it’s so catchy, so instant, so simply pop and makes you feel just HAPPY. Which is what Katy’s music has always been for me and this is nostalgically giving me all the feels that Teenage Dream Katy used to make me feel. Pop doesn’t need to be over complicated when it can feel this joyous and full of hooks and it’s what she does best :wub:
