  1. Happy to see Ojnoj doing well! Much like Dolly Style early this year, a song that I considered but I always second guess myself with straight down the line bubblegum pop because of its lack of crossover appeal. I do love me some Bludnymph though, so fingers crossed it can stay top 10 (and if I can be there too, it'd be lovely!)
  2. Oh shit, I didn't even read about the Google Form thing, so I just sent mine through PM like half an hour ago.
  3. Judging by the hype, it's hard to see past POPHub snatching it, I'd say. Which would be a fun first winner! I do agree about FSR Rontvia being a "dark horse" though and I think Republique d'Askorza could break top 10.
  4. ...where have you seen this stanning? It's literally 36th out of 37 on the Eurovision Scoreboard app, with half the points of the song in 35th

I always forget that about Carly Rae Jepsen! And, of course, what a song (and what an album). Still hammering this from Swedish Idol 2021's Jacqline. Obviously, those who follow Melodifestivalen will know this, but if you DON'T, then you're missing out on a stellar, glittery pop moment. aLgh-XRFDag
  6. I've been seeing your comments on my chart about We Can't Be Friends, so I expected it to be #1 here! We share the same peak at the moment, but great song, and maybe a future #1 for us both, who knows?! This does remind me I need to listen to Paloma's album still.

Again, not a BAD SONG, but isn't she tired of just releasing... the same song over and over again? Another song of hers which feels entirely designed for TikTok, refers to her "bass", has that same woo dop sound. It's catchy again, so I'll give her that, but everything has felt so calculated from Made You Look onwards that it's almost sterile and unappealing. Looks like it'll bag her another top 40 though, so I guess it works for her and if it ain't broke, then why fix it? Meh all the same.

  9. This is hilarious  I'm not sure that was the reaction she was going for, but I mean, when was the last time anyone spoke this much about a Camila Cabello release? I feel like I'll end up ironically liking it because I do with anything messy - the Sine From Above remix on Dawn Of Chromatica is literally my most played from that album cos I'm obsessed with the mess - but there is definitely a disconnect in branding that is meaning this isn't clicking properly. Like, why is it squeaky clean Camila doing this? The pretty little latin girl, idk. I'm all here for artists experimenting but there is something a bit unnatural about it and I'm not convinced she pulls it off. Entertaining though! Playboy's verse is literally unintelligible and I was smiling so hard through it. It's like something that leaked on JamExclusive in 2009 from the cutting room floor.
  10. Deeper Shade Of Blue is EASILY the best song on this list for me, so I'm relieved to see it swim through the sea of indie, even if it ends up in 2nd. Probably the best Steps song?
  11. Could've honestly picked any of these, bar A-YO, as my favourite. Love them all depending on mood, but ended up plumping for Alejandro. And, as you can see above, A-Yo for least. Not that it's bad, it's actually one of my favourites on Joanne, but still doesn't stack up in comparison to all the others for me personally.
  12. Who's That What's That was SUCH a lockdown guilty pleasure
  13. Introducing Now That's What I Call: Hendinia - an edition dedicated to the record-breaking era of Hendinia, from BJSC CXXI to CLXIII. Toppling the previous best of 42 qualifiers in a row by FSR Rontvia, 'Dancing And Crying' made it an unstoppable 43 tonight and with this comes the release of a new compilation, out now. 2 winners. 21 top 10s. 33 top 20s. Out now.
  14. HOORAY! Had a fair bit to catch up on there and relieved I haven't been left to the complete end. We did itttt :cheer:
  15. VERY shocked by Betta Lemme not making it. That being said, the first listen of it for me (outside of the contest) didn’t particularly impress me, though it’s grown with a few more listens. So, I guess in an instant contest, that may be an issue.
  16. Semi 1 truly getting the crumbs of info right now x
  17. Obsessed with this being your lower effort contest, Uhsting. This would be most people’s peak
  18. I mean, it's hard to make comment on whether something "got a reaction" or not because there's not been a huge deal of discussion so far. Hoping, and mildly confident, this entry can take me over the ~record-breaking~ finish line. I'm having the rare moment of my entry actually growing on me more and more through the contest, rather than have it prepared and excited to send it. Can't get enough of it right now so hoping others are in a similar boat.
  19. I'M NOT READY FOR THIS SERIES TO END! I love all four girls left and how amazing that none of them are US queens for once?! They all show a different side of drag that I love and I think they've all got such charisma. Tia Kofi's roast was so good, exactly my type of humour. I also keep thinking about her "when I go, I hope it's instant" joke, LGD not getting it and Hannah Conda screaming INSTANT COFFEE! Hannah's such a joy, I can't. I was really worried Marina would go in a last minute Pangina move and I struggle to see how she doesn't win a lipsync smackdown so I'm rooting for her to win. She really is just the whole package and she's done very well at challenges where it must be so difficult in your second language.
  20. Fairly sure, from the application process, that the civilian series will remain in October and people have to be free "for 7 weeks". Which either implies it's been extended by a week, or that includes a week of "hiding", which I'd say is more likely, so it'll be another 6 week series.

Not sure who will win this this year, but thinking of OGAE's typical pattern, I'd probably say Italy are most likely.

It’s got nothing on the original but feels very classically… what a remix with Addison Rae and AG Cook on it would sound like  Enjoyably lazy yet chaotic with its tongue lodged firmly in its cheek x
  24. As in, they wouldn’t be fussed if the song didn’t make it, or less so than Luktelk or Rim Tim Tagi Dim which fill that “keeping the energy” brief that I mentioned.
  25. Semi 1: 01 Cyprus: Silia Kapsis - Liar 02 Ireland: Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue 03 Ukraine: alyona alyona & Jerry Heil - Teresa & Maria 04 Lithuania: Silvester Belt - Luktelk 05 Poland: Luna - The Tower 06 Serbia: Teya Dora - Ramonda 07 Croatia: Baby Lasagna - Rim Tim Tagi Dim 08 Australia: Electric Fields - One Milkali (One Blood) 09 Iceland: Hera Björk - Scared of Heights 10 Portugal: Iolanda - Grito 11 Finland: Windows95man - No Rules! 12 Moldova: Natalia Barbu - In the Middle 13 Slovenia: Raiven - Veronika 14 Azerbaijan: Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov - Özünlə apar 15 Luxembourg: Tali - Fighter Finland feels like the natural closer here but I don't think they'll be awarded that treatment 2 years on the bounce. So I've stuck them in the 'Tattoo' slot, as they have a prop which may well take the longest to set up, from the staging we've seen so far. I've given the closing slot to Luxembourg instead, one of the only other uptempos and I think they'll want to throw them every possible chance of getting out of the semi so they stick around. Cyprus feels like the natural "party starter without being too abrasive" opener. Picking the "death slot" was hard, but I've noticed in the last few years, they haven't handed it to a ballad in Semi 1, presumably wanting people to stick around without being switched off too quickly. Ireland feels disposable whilst still being a talking point, so I think that feels more fitting. Semi 2: 01 Austria: Kaleen - We Will Rave 02 Czechia: Aiko - Pedestal 03 Denmark: Saba - Sand 04 Armenia: Ladaniva - Jako 05 Albania: Besa - Titan 06 Greece: Marina Satti - Zari 07 Malta: Sarah Bonnici - Loop 08 Switzerland: Nemo - The Code 09 Israel: Eden Golan - Hurricane 10 Estonia: 5miinust and Puuluup - (Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi 11 San Marino: Megara - 11:11 12 Latvia: Dons - Hollow 13 Georgia: Nutsa Buzaladze - Firefighter 14 Norway: Gåte - Ulveham 15 Netherlands: Joost Klein - Europapa 16 Belgium: Mustii - Before the Party's Over This felt like a harder semi to predict, but We Will Rave feels like a Queen Of Kings type opener. The producers quite like a story being told in running order and I think this kicks off the semi with a statement of "we will party". A lot of uptempos to try and pace out here which isn't easy. I've boxed Israel on as soon as possible to get that... over, which I'd imagine producers will want to do (and after a break, should they wish to boycott). San Marino in 11th, because, of course. And then, again, went for a message of a closer - we start with a rave and we end with... the party's over. Right after one of the most hyped party songs of the year.
