I do wish it was a song that felt more representative of the album to introduce casual listeners to the world of Slayyyter but happy to see her star continue to just grow and grow and grow this year ❤️

The remix album is… hit & miss. Maybe I’m just super loyal to an album that I think is a 10/10. The Midnight Sun remix goes OFF and I think it could set the song off into new heights. Puss Puss with Robyn - fire. Pretty Ugly with JT - kinda fire. Saturn’s Return and Crush - cute. Blue Moon and Eurosummer are disappointing though. The latter in particular with Shakira, I was so excited for but they took all of the… euro out of it for me? And Shakira says “eurosummer” really weirdly too x

Well, this is fun! The 90s house trend feels a little like it died out a few years ago (apart from Runway by Gaga but I fear Bal may lynch me for mentioning that song here) but it’s not something I’ve heard on Madonna OR Sabrina before so the fact it’s not a retread for either of them makes this feel fresher. It’s cheeky, doesn’t take itself too seriously, full of hooks, self referential, camp. I’m not sure if my feelings are “this is better than I’d expect for Madonna in 2026” but regardless of for what reason I’m in… I’m in x

Really enjoying Madonna and Demi’s offerings but keep going back to Need For Speed so Kim gets my vote!

I am VERY excited for this and I love seeing the hype in here but I hope some of you have your expectations tempered A LITTLE. I'd LOVE Madonna to get a #1 in 2026 as much as the next guy but even if this just gets her a top 40, it genuinely is a success considering she hasn't had one as a lead artist since 2014.

I mean, if that is the status quo, then you are very much a part of it. I can’t be bothered looking but I doubt there’s many EOY charts in the last 5-10 years that you’re not in the top 10 of.

There feels like something really symbolic about an album cover where her face is fully showing and with a smile at that. From covers where she showed one side of her face, the back of her head, upside down, behind a mask. It felt like a running joke that she never really showed her face and while there is hair covering her face, that cover art feels beautifully exposed and pared back. Perhaps symbolic of what’s to come? It’s always nice to see Ari happy after everything she’s been through anyway ❤️

Kiss RN is cheeky, playful and bags of fun and marks Babe America’s first appearance in the competition but will she be keeping up Hendinia’s current run of form on her debut? Final position: 9th

Seems like she’s having A LOT of trouble getting free from her label at the moment and the video for this alludes HEAVILY to that. but this is definitely the best thing she’s done since the Feed The Beast era and feels like the perfect mesh between her older sound and the new Frost Children sound of Kim ❤️

Very shocked by that! Haven’t heard most of Semi 1 yet but I’d definitely expect Bronzil and Nelionoir to be slightly better pop crossovers than myself & Yehesi, but perhaps the loss of quite a few pop entries in the semis will benefit us 2 to do better than we otherwise would’ve done.

I forgot to say though, with the speed of results coming through, that I’m thrilled to see the Yehesi DNQ predictions didn’t come true.

These results have really really surprised me. Even though I said that Semi 2 was hard to predict, I still feel a bit like I’m lucky to have escaped what seems like an absolute toss up. I was a little bit confused by Frances being predicted to win, I won’t lie, but I still thought it’d be a finalist. And Ella Boh too (although not my favourite song by her, think we’ll see her again in the future with something a bit more competitive but still, deserved the final).

PHEW! It was a rough month for me landing on an entry so I genuinely don’t care if it comes last now. Completely and utterly gagged by how badly Remy Bond did?! I looove Skin Tight Jeans and strongly considered sending it last year so that had really shocked me. A rough contest for poor Josh on what was his third choice entry 💔
