I think this song will work out really great for her from a critical standpoint. It won't, and isn't, the biggest hit of her career and performance-wise, might feel like a step down from Future Nostalgia. But every review I've seen of this is super strong and gives off this essence that she's more than just a pop artist and I think long term, that will really benefit her as a way of standing apart from her peers. Songs like this get you the big name festival bookings that might make some pop artists look "uncool" if they were to appear on the same stage. Songs like this give you longevity in the business because you're not just rehashing the same music album after album and hoping for the best. I think this really is a sonically impressive song from Dua that helps to push her as a stronger force for album sales, and not just a cute pop girl. All that being said, it's still doing well anyway - it's still absolutely a success whichever way you look at it. Not as resounding as we may have hoped for, but a success none the less.

Based off the playlist in the last few months, I'm going to guess we'll get the likes of flowerovlove, Elmeine, The Last Dinner Party, Strandz, CMAT, Gretel Hanlyn etc. Wouldn't surprise me if they put Venbee and Jazzy on here, in spite of them both already having a top 10 single. Think this might wind up being a year where the winner doesn't have a wildly successful year, it's hard to think right now who feels like they're on the verge of success. My guess would be The Last Dinner Party for the win, perhaps?

I do feel like Kate Butch deserved to be in the final, but I see no way she survives that episode against Tomara, Dede or Cara, whichever route I threw her up against. I also wanted to push Banksie further, but I watched her Snatch Game idea and think it was way too reliant on preparation to work during improv, so she'd have stumbled there too.

I actually like or love all of the songs left but it has to be Kids. I think Feel might be my favourite Robbie song? Not sure it still beats Katy and GA, maybe the latter, but it does beat Kids x

P Diddy, barely even recognise the song and relistening didn’t help conjure any thoughts.

I don’t even think Venus deserved to be in the top. Hated her entrance look and she appeared to be wearing the smallest slither of make up but they really loved her? I see myself liking her as this progresses but think the judges overhyped her for this premiere. Kiki and Denim dominated for me, they delivered moment after moment. I’d have put Aimee in the top instead, maybe Aurora too. Excited for both of them and for the twist to get started. Really enjoy Canada usually and got a good feeling about this series.

Oh and hype to Taahino, discovered that after confirmations started and may aswell have switched to that too if I hadn’t seen it confirmed!

Not super confident this contest, would’ve actually sent Altyr’s song I think, had i not been like 24 hours late to confirming but adore the song I’ve sent. I see a few names in the semi that I hope should like it. Also hype to Ryan. I’m in a semi where two of the songs are in my current personal chart top 10 so we’re starting strong!

That video? What a star?! I've fully never realised I needed to care until Greedy happened, I just filed her by like... gayle and people from TikTok that would have a hit here and there. But, I was clearly very wrong because the star power in that music video is mad. The looks, the choreo, the homage to Xtina/Britney. Iconic.

She kind of just doesn't feel like a star with a great deal of presence on her own, does she? :( I know that sounds harsh because I really like her but she always just looks kind of... small and timid in performances I see, even though the looks are striking. I'm yet to see anything so far where I'm like "okay, she's arrived!". I still think the song is great though and definitely where she belongs.

Agreed! There's no doubting Tomara has that "it factor", probably the most of anyone in the competition to be honest. So I am still rooting for her really but I think she's had a higher position than she deserved in like 4 episodes now (design challenge, snatch game, advert, makeover).
