u guys think the album will go top 10 next week? I think it wil personally. Battlefield has had a big enough effect on radio and people and her debut sold solidly

Wouldnt call it low budget, just rushed. They thought coz they had 'Battlefield' as the lead that it would sell no matter what.

Walking on Snow - 6/10 Very mediocre, a little catchy but I cant see it being a mainstream hit. Battlefield - 9/10 Great song, can see why its the first single, should have been a hit by now Dont Let it go to your head - 8/10 - Stand out ballad on the album, single material. SOS - 8/10 - Livens the album up a bit, good 2nd single choice, will show album/artist versatility. It takes more - 7/10 - A grower, chrous dosent climax as would be expected but not a bad listen Watch U GO - 6/10 - Might need more time to grow, sounds good from the start but it goes nowhere. Let down by DR Luke, most of his stuff is single material. No Parade - 7/10 - Decent ballad, nice chours but again a lack of a climax. Let it rain - 7/10 - sounds like one of those 'instantly cathcy' songs but its a song trying to be big and have a climax but it has no 'big' moment. Emergency 911 - 9/10 - Good song, a grower and single material. Again shows versatility and is a lil more edgy. Would be another good second single. Was I the Only one - 7/10 - Slow and soft right throughout, not a bad lil tune, a little soppy - good for the women... Faith - 7/10 - Well written but predictable and typical. A good song if it means something to someone. The Cure - 8/10 - Another stand out ballad. Good goin. Overall - 8/10 - Not a bad attempt, just needs to be a bit more upbeat to make it more mainstream. That 'Vertigo' song would have suited and at least one more upbeat song to replace a couple of the ballads. The album is way to ballad heavy - she is a upbeat kinda person so she should have the album reflect that. Jive havent thought much about that and while they wanted the album to sound similar to the lead single, they should realise that people will want the album to be more versatile like the artist.

yea sure there are some hits on there but just too many low-tempo tunes

the whole thing is too damn ballad heavy. it would have needed that 'vertigo' track and another couple up-tempos. They could have replaced some of those damn ballads..

everyone thought Battlefield would be #1 by now... anyone think it will go top 10 next week? it was stupid the way the label released it, if it had of been just released last week it would have sales combined and a high peak...sony are losing their minds

yeh it was kinda pathetic they sent her on tour when she had this to promote. They should have even give her 2 weeks off of the tour to do promo in UK/Europe next week and the week of the album for the U.S. Shes only sqeezing in a couple of tv performances on album week, i guess they expected the single to sell it alone

yup, physicals are basically non-existent in the states, they include digital sales, streaming and airplay in their hot 100

ive a feelin that 'Battlefield' will do a jason mraz 'im yours' peak outside the top 10 (or low top 10) but will stick around in the top 40 a while

it sucks that the lead single is kinda tanking. id say the album will go top 10 in the states and probably top 10 in the UK but it will struggle in the states after that unless they put out a second single quick. They should have defo put the album back by a month and released another single, they are prob surpised Battlefield hasnt been a hit, alot of people are

good to see sparks in the top 10, the label really need to step up promo this week for it to stay there. a phone-in interview to Radio 1 and some tv ads would come in handy around mid-week

yea, they prob thought it was too light and poppy compared to the rest of the album which sounds kinda mid-tempo and dark throughout. tho it still would have been good to have on there, they will prob give it to another artist like that Kesha girl on RCA/Jive, sounds like her kinda song

the pop mix will have to be used, if it is it could be succesful here

things are goin so slow with this album, there aint any promo goin around....come on Jive - put a bit of effort into it!! even run some TV adds since u were stupid enuf to put her on tour and take up her promo time

awesome, whats it like as an album? are there any songs which would make 'hit' singles since battlefield aint taking off that good. is it still good without that 'vertigo' song? u think it will leak this week? BTW how do u get preview copies, u a journalist?
