  3. You are very welcome! Thanks for putting the Spotify playlist together. Voted for Kelvin Krash <3
  4. Here is the new single - “Ricochet” - bit more of a drum and bass vibe on this one with some ethereal vocals. Reminds me a bit of “Potential Energy” (my favourite of hers to date). 5a1DmjEzH2E

  11. Last week's results: Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll last week, Kath is kinda busy/has a hot date with BJSC- so I'm helping with the ETotW poll for this week. Congratulations to Victor Watel aka French DJ Panteros666 who teamed up with Canadian DJ Zorza for “Ultra Ray” and secured the most votes last week to win Week 22's poll. It was another close race with Kiara Scuro and LSDXOXO joint runners-up ending just 1 vote behind. We also finally have a result for the Week 20 poll which resulted in a very narrow 6-5 win for Dublin's Krystal Klear. 5UKLeocVrkU :winner: Panteros666 feat. In his own words: “Flicker” captures a combination of trance and techno styles and textures that have been influencing my work this year. It’s the first step into a bigger project that expands the Glimji world... 02 // KETTAMA “Feeling Emotions” Release: 01 June 2023 Bio: The Galway madman KETTAMA makes his triumphant return to S.C.D.D. with his latest release, 'Feeling Emotions'. The euphoric crowd favourite serves as the first glimpse into the second collaborative project between KETTAMA and S.C.D.D. and is the start of what is set to be KETTAMA’s most exciting project to date. Strap in 03 // Kelvin Krash “Promise You’ll Wait” Release: 07 June 2023 Bio: Kelvin Krash grew up infatuated by grime and underground sounds, tuning in to pirate radio from his home in Willesden, North-West London. Zeroing in on beats, he rapidly gained a stellar reputation across London, twisting established tropes into fresh sounds. He’s worked with A$AP Rocky, had his music picked up by Playboi Carti, and Kelvin has had a hand in producing tracks by everyone from Skepta and Jeshi through to Swedish House Mafia. New single ‘Promise You’ll Wait’ charges into fresh territory, a boundary-less slice of club-focussed electronics. Removing genre tags from his work, Kelvin Krash relishes creative freedom, imbuing his music with an incredible sense of light. Kelvin Krash shares… “What’s your idea of an ideal life, one that you can’t live without? In most cases you’ll have to make sacrifices to reach that point — you’ll have to put yourself first. Whether you’re chasing your dreams, a change, an acceleration in your career, or simply just finding happiness. You may find yourself leaving your peers and loved ones behind to do so. But you’ll be back, eventually, I promise.” 04 // Anz “Clearly Rushing” Release: 06 June 2023 Bio: Anz is a DJ and Producer based in Manchester. Renowned for her genre-spanning productions and mixes, she unearths the links between Electro, UK Garage, Jungle and more, underpinning a versatile take on contemporary UK club music that is as bright as it is unpredictable. Returning for her second release on Hessle Audio with 'Clearly Rushing', where jagged arpeggios gel with a pumping breakbeat and heady risers for maximum dancefloor impact. The track has been a staple in both her and the Hessle Audio co-founders' recent DJ sets , providing many peak time moments and frenzied ID requests. 05 // Prayer “Set Me Free” Release: 02 June 2023 Bio: London-based producer Prayer is set to release a 3-track EP titled "Io" on Rua Sound's SPHERES series. Following previous releases on esteemed imprints such as Hooversound, Black Acre, Grade 10, and Cult Music, Prayer is known for creating atmospheric jungle with an emotive energy that can range from poignant to ecstatic. Prayer flexes that muscle on opening track 'Set Me Free' with layers of vocals over euphoric breakbeats. 06 // Robert Babicz “The Last Soul” Release: 02 June 2023 Bio: Now based in Malta, Polish electronic producer and DJ Robert Babicz has been releasing tracks for over 3 decades which span many genres of electronic music from techno, to acid house. Robert Babicz steps back into the captain's seat for Kelch no. 6. Opening on a high note, The Last Soul takes us on a voyage through of a thousand leagues of evolving synth lines and melodies, while on the flip, Robert further explores his aquatic side with Baby Octopus, surely inspired by the golden shores of sunny Malta, where he currently spends most of his time tinkering with new music. In characteristic style, the song is an unrelenting forward driving tech house stomper, perfect for those warm summer nights to come. 07 // David Strasser “Final Call” Release date: 17 March 2023*** Bio: David Strasser is a German DJ and producer - his debut EP Absinth came out last year and from recent EP Sintra, the final cut “Final Call” is a track I meant to send to uhsting’s BIG DROP Club Bizarre but forgot/was too late - anywhere here it is! 08 // Saoirse “RM 1” Release date: 6 June 2023 Bio: Saoirse’s first foray into the field of electronic music came at a very young age, accompanying her mother to free parties and raves in her home country of Ireland. It was at these parties that her young ears began to make sense of the sounds from the likes of Leftfield, Fluke & Orbital and a close allegiance to electronic music was forged. It wasn’t long before every last penny was being spent on vinyl and every spare hour spent digging for records old and new. 'RM 1' is the lead track from Saoirse's 'fabric presents' compilation out in July. 'RM 1' is dedicated to the countless hours the Dublin-born raver Saoirse has spent in that iconic fabric room behind and in front of the decks. If a dance forum mod could please pin this and un-pin last week's vote and close that poll. Thank you. <3
  12. What a great start to the weekend. *.* I'm guessing the Privileges Committee final report must be really damning then as he isn't even going to try and fight to survive. The resignation honours list that Sunak caved into accepting was a disgrace and that resignation letter - also a disgrace. To the very end he can't ever take responsibility and acts like a child. Hopefully that's the last we ever have to see of him.

  15. @1665942644432728066 There is reasonable evidence (the Americans say that they have compelling evidence and want to get it declassified) to suggest that the Russian state is directly responsible for the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam (which provides water to Crimea and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant), a completely reckless act that has flooded large areas, displaced large numbers of the public and is drowning many animals. This is likely to have been done to disrupt Ukraine's counteroffensive and looks increasingly like the desperate actions of a state that is now resigned to losing a horrific war that it started.

  17. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/ju...lled-in-england They are going to be trialling it in Jarrow and East Finchley for 2 years, at £1600/month, will be very interesting to see what the results are from this at the end of the trial. The results from the nationwide trial in Finland were mixed but pretty encouraging on improving people's general mental health and wellbeing.
  18. Wow! I hope you enjoy the set, my friend went to see them at Glastonbury last year and they said it was really enjoyable. I wouldn't worry about “Heaven Surrounds Us Like a Hood” not being on there, they were probably mixing it up a bit - it was on the setlist for Coachella. tfy507j8T9A

  20. @1664553354448470017 One of the things about Covid, is that not only did it expose the cruel, unfair and widening inequalities in our society - but also where power truly lies and how it is wielded.
  21. Neliönoir speeding in to the final like Suella B, with quadruple the points on her licence x All but Utopia from my votes made it through - big hype to FARC, Persephonia and St. Burbia!
