Given the absolute shitshow that the government are currently embroiled in I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it Simon, and am definitely here for it. Would make Boris' Christmas very awkward!
Local Conservative sources have spoken of concern at the impact national issues are having on the race. One said they now expected a close race, which could go either by as few as 500 votes. You love to see it. :D

Exclusive footage obtained by ITV News taken from 22 December 2020 shows Allegra Stratton joking about the 'alleged' party four days earlier. That's Allegra 'doing your bit for climate change by not rinsing plates before you put them in the dishwasher' Stratton. Cheers for that.

Here is an update for Cumulonimbia, with thanks to Bré for being kind enough to send me the stats. *.*
It's tight at the top but Persephonia is no longer my #1. : (
Points given
200 Aeroche
Points received
176 Skall
Bré- would it be possible to request a EOY2021 update for me please? Interested to see if Aeroche and Skall are still my number 1 faves/fans. Thank you x

Or it could just be something like Macarena idk.
“Macarena” has had surprisingly little endurance beyond the 1990s. The most enduring hits of the 1990s (in order) are the aforementioned “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, “Iris”, “Wonderwall” and “Under The Bridge”. “Under The Bridge” is interesting because it was never a Top 10 hit in the UK. “Iris” originally flopped in the UK (#50) and then was a modest hit the following year on re-release but kept threatening to resurge through the 2000s before finally doing so spectacularly in 2011, not even a higher charting ropey Ronan Keating cover could knock it down apparently.
There's an argument for “Mr. Brightside” by the Killers which definitely has had enduring popularity..
“Mr. Brightside” by The Killers has been on Top Songs United Kingdom the longest, at 258 weeks straight. But if you wanted something universal across the world then it's probably “Happy Birthday”, which is the most licensed song of all-time, just ahead of “White Christmas”.

Oh I didn't do too badly in this in the end (mostly due to fluking it a bit- but I'll take it), you were VERY generous with my answer for 10. I think I do remember that 2Pac sample now but all I could hear was the original in that clip. : (
Glad I got at least 1 of the themes but kinda kicking myself for not getting the other.
Anyway, thank u for running and hosting this quiz Julian!

Oooft, that's a really great winner actually - well done to Rollo, I think I gave your track our 15. Great to see For Those I Love up there too, I did have a huge suspicion that it was Mark that sent it. : )
Thanks also to Leww for sending “Make Me”, an absolute banger that I'd overlooked. <3 Deserved to do far better than it did, I assume 'cos this is more of an indie comp or the fact that ppl though it sampled Strike's “U Sure Do” when it actually sampled Donna Allen's “Serious” (which Strike sampled in the 90s tbf) and made it into an entirely different breakbeat track.
I still want to know what Doc thought of the park :PHah, yeh it was great, lovely and peaceful - I was in the Arrochar Alps and bagged a few mountains before the weather closed in. It was quite some time ago now, but pleased these results came in and I didn't do too badly, thanks all those who voted for CFCF. Seriously though Cody, thank you for pulling this together; from running BJSC recently I can appreciate how much work and effort is required and struggle with not wanting to let people down so I hope we didn't stress you out too much asking for the results.

These graphics are unbelievably good Addy! Thank you for your efforts hosting a fantastic contest. Congrats to Lookylion on a debut win, and what an impressive and appropriate win for Confidence Man and “Holiday” given the theme, and now thanks to Rich I've now got the theme to “Wish You Were Here” (“The Carnival” by Gordon Giltrap) stuck in my head..
Great also to see N DNTN at #2, so close to taking the lead in total wins from the other half of 152wild, but I'm certain it'll happen soon enough. A shame Aelandor weren't a little higher in the end.
Thanks to everyone who voted for Kessler and thanks especially to Dandy*, Harve and Kath for the 18s. <3

There was a documentary on Radio 4 about Unfinished Sympathy last Saturday which you can listen to on BBC Sounds, the link is below. It doesn't feature the band members. Instead, random people explain how the song played a part in their lives. I think the most interesting part is a producer deconstructing the track and explaining where the samples come from.
Ooh thanks for the heads-up Rollo - I'll send it to my Mum too as she'll love hearing that I think!

8. Gordon Giltrap - The Carnival - From "Wish You Were Here...?" TV Show
Amazing. *.* Where did you get a copy of this? I've only got a 2 minute version which is definitely not the proper full length I'm thinking..

Ok everyone no need to panic but we're still not cleared to land yet.
In serious note, I just got called to work tomorrow and after tomorrow :nocheer:
I specifically had these dates set so it doesn't interfere with my schedule but apparently they're in need of Flight Attendants.
I sincerely apologize and I swear that I am 100% prepared and not behind with any of preparation.
So with that being said, new deadline for voting is Thursday 02 December 2021 23:59 BST and the results will be on Friday 03 December 2021.
Thank you for your understanding.
Oh no, fog and snow is persisting longer than the TAF was suggesting at our destination. Those damn forecasters...
Will we be getting complimentary drinks as compensation?? *.*
