Radio 1 Discussion
So here we are! Last week of Scott Mills and Chris Stark on afternoons! Really is the end of an era. Rumours are also going around on the Gregg James fan page on Facebook that he’s leaving breakfast in January, apparently has been leaked by Chris Stark on a podcast. Nothing confirmed as of yet. I really hope it’s not true, there’s been so much change over the past year, the schedule really needs stability and time to bed in now.

They did, although I was wondering if there was a more commercial sounding single to come perhaps? Whoever it is, I hope it's someone who can make an impact in the charts next week.

Radio 1 Discussion
It would be a massive british artist/band I think and someone who would fit evenings on Radio 1. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking:- Arctic Monkeys Lewis Capaldi Coldplay - Possible EP? (similar to 'Kaleidoscope' to support their UK summer dates?) Stormzy Dave Ed Sheeran The 1975 Keep an eye on the socials, someone's bound to tell their fans to be listening to Radio 1 tonight at 6pm.

Radio 2 Playlist 2022
Great to see Gorillaz added to Radio 2, that's a big surprise. I do wonder with Scott Mills joining daytime in September whether they'll start to change their approach to the artists they playlist, so for example if we'll start seeing them playlist less of the heritage 70's/80's artists to try and appeal to listeners that has come over from Radio 1 for Scotts show?

Now That's What I Call Music! Thread [Part 6]
The state of these albums these days is really making me feel sad. Too much filler and not enough proper hits, and I don't think it's Now's fault as the charts have been moving at a snails pace in recent months. I think they are battling with the costs to license some tracks and as the albums are selling less and less, it's getting hard to justify the costs. I really think the time has come to only have two editions per year, it won't solve all their problems, but at least it will make the volumes more appealing with less of the filler tracks.
