    4. Timbaland feat. D.O.E & Keri Hilson - The Way I Are (8.24)

    ((11), Jade, Dobbo), ((5), BillyH, T Boy)

2007 was Timberlands year. 'The Way I Are' was his second Number 1 hit of the year under his own name, and his album 'Shock Value' sold well too.

    3. Groove Armada - Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control) (8.33)

    ((11), IZ~), ((5), MIKEMYRE)

Featuring former Sugababes member Mutya Buena, 'Song 4 Mutya (Out Of Control)' was a Top 10 hit for the dance duo and was taken from their album 'Soundboy Rock'. Good to see it get this high on the rate. :)

    2. Sugababes - About You Now (8.80)

    ((11), Fgiboy), ((0), jsliv)

Just one place higher, it was another new line up for the babes, but the magic was still there as 'About You Now' was a massive number 1 for them in September 2007.

    1. Robyn with Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat (9.30)

((11), BillyH, gavindeejay, Jester, RabbitFurCoat,darkstar79, Riser, مدهش*), ((3), Tylky)

So happy Robyn has come out on top. :cheer: It was abit of a surprise Number 1 when it came out in August 2007 (well for me anyway), but is a great track from such an underrated artist in my opinion. She deserves so much more here in the UK.

Many thanks to those who have voted. :)

  4. 7. Amy Winehouse - Tears Dry On Their Own (8.01)

((10), Niall Minogue, scherz, jsliv, Dobbo, Rob S, MyKindOfLove, Jester, gavindeejay, Luciano), ((2), Billy H)

One of my favourites from the late Amy Winehouse, taken from her second album 'Back To Black'.

    6. Britney Spears - Gimme More (8.01) Had 11's.

((11), Nick F1, xketalinax, Luciano, jonjo)

One of the biggest comebacks of 2007 came from Britney with a track I think still sounds amazing, and easily one of my favourite Britney songs. 'Gimme More' came from her fifth stidio album 'Blackout' and was a Top 3 hit in October 2007.

    5. Avril Lavigne - When You're Gone (8.04)

This is one of her best. Second single from the album 'Best Damn Thing', and followed 'Girlfriend' to Number 2 in the charts.

  5. 10. Feist - 1234 (7.75)

    ((10), jsliv, T Boy, RabbitFurCoat, darkstar79), ((4), ultraviolence, Rob S)

First up in the Top 10 is a nice surprise from Fiest. It charted thanks to being used in an Apple ipod advert.

    9. Take That - Rule The World (7.81)

    ((11), gooddelta), ((0), jsliv)

From the film 'Stardust' is Take That with a track that was stuck at Number 2 behind Leona's 'Bleeding Love' for a few weeks. It was taken from the deluxe edition of the band comeback album 'Beautiful World'.

    8. Freemasons feat. Bailey Tzuke - Uninvited (7.95)

    ((11), MyKindOfLove), ((0), Regina)

As desciribed in the Now 68 booklet, "this is a danced up version of Alanis Morissette tune". It reached Number 8 in October 2008 and makes the Top 10 on your Now 68 rate.

  6. ((10), BillyH, T Boy, MyKindOfLove, Luciano, MIKEMYER), ((3), xketalinax)

    ((11), Mikemyer), ((0), darkstar, Fgiboy2511)

    18. Kylie Minogue - 2 Heart (6.98)

((10), jsliv, Attonement, MIKEMYRE), ((1), BillyH)

    ((11), Tylky), ((3), مدهش*)

((11), jsliv, Chez Wombat), ((0), Regina)

    ((10, Ultraviolence, jsliv, gavindeejay), ((0) Fgiboy2511)

    ((11, Aled), ((0), IZ~)

((10), BillyH, T Boy, MyKindOfLove, Luciano, MIKEMYER), ((3), xketalinax)

    12. Mark Ronson feat. Amy Winehouse - Valarie (7.45) (More 10's)

((10), Niall Minogue, jsliv, Liam, MyKindOfLove, Jester, darkstar79, MIKEMYER, Riser), ((0), Ragina)

((11), Niall Minogue, Liam), ((-1), Chez Wombat, Attonement)

Starting off the Top 20, it's KT Tunstall with the first release from her second studio album 'Drastic Fantastic'.

Big shocker at #19 as we lose a track I thought would do pretty well from Fergie. 'Big Girls Don't Cry' was the third single to be taken from her solo album 'The Duchess' and went to Number 2 in August 2007. Another shock at #18 as Kylie's 2 Hearts bows out. From her tenth studio album 'X', '2 Hearts' reached Number 4 in the charts.

Another one of the biggest summer anthems from 2007 is next from Ida Corr, who teamed up with Fedde Le Grand for the Number 2 hit 'Let Me Think About It' and followed up Fedde's previous hits 'The Creeps' and 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit'.

Next up is a track which features that whistle hook used in the B&Q advert. It's a fantastic track and I'm glad it's made it this high on the countdown.

Into the Top 15 and we lose another Top 10 contender. 'Shut Up and Drive' was the follow up to 'Umbrella', which spent ten weeks at Number 1. 'Shut Up and Drive' went Top 5, and is one of my favourite RiRi tracks. Girls Aloud's Sexy No No No is next, and was the first single from the album 'Tangled Up'. It became their 15th consecutive Top 10 single.

Scottish singer/songwriter Amy MacDonald is at 13 with 'Mr Rock & Roll and at 12 is Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse's version of The Zutons 'Valarie'. It was by far the most successful single from Mark Ronson's album of covers 'Version'. Just missing out on the Top 10 rather surprisingly it's Leona with Bleeding Love. It spent 7 weeks at Number 1, written by Ryan Tedder of One Republic and was her first single after winning the X Factor.

    ((10), MIKEMYRE, Niall Minogue, ultraviolence, fgiboy2511, Rob S, Tylky), ((-1) darkstar79, scherz)

Starting off the Top 30 is J-Lo with a track that just missed out on the Top 10 in October 2007, and was the lead single from the album 'Brave'.

Next up at #29 is the lowest position a track by The Killers have ever had on the Now rates, but in fairness it's not one of their best, even if it does feature a legend. 'Tranquilize' comes from 'Sawdust', which is an album that consists of B Sides and rarities. On the plus side it did give the band their 8th Top 20 hit in October 2007. Welsh rockers The Stereophonics are next up with the debut track from what I think is their weakest album to date 'Pull The Pin'. 'It Means Nothing' became the bands 23rd Top 40 hit.

James Blunt's lead single from his second album is next up giving him another Top 10 hit and an awesome club classic from Axwell follows. 'I Found U' peaked at Number 6 in the charts. 12 months after 'Love Don't Let Me Go (Walking Away), David Guetta returned to the Top 10 in August 2007 with 'Love Is Gone', once again featuring Chris Willis.

A fun track from The Hoosiers is next up and they're Worried About Ray. Not too sure why people hate this so much, it's not a bad song imo. Kanye West scored his first Number 1 single sampling Daft Punk's 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger', and singer/songwriter Newton Faulkner made his debut with the excellent 'Dream Catch Me'.

Finally in this round Phil Collins re-entered the UK charts thanks to a Cadbury's advert, which featured a Gorilla playing the famous drum part of the song. 'In The Air Tonight' also features on Now 12.

  8. That's fine jonjo, I added your result in. :)

Here are your results. Many thanks to the 32 members who voted this week:

    ((10), Insomnio, jonjo), ((0), Liam, darkstar79)

((10), Niall Minogue, Riser), ((0), Ultraviolernce, RabbitFurCoat, darkstar79)

Starting off the rate in last place we have Westlife with a cover of Michael Buble's Home. Also a dreadful Number 1 from Sean Kingston. 'Beautiful Girls' sampled Ben E King's classic hit 'Stand By Me'. Speaking of sample Craig David sampled David Bowies 1983 No 1 single 'Let's Dance', which gave him a Top 10 hit.

Se:Se was abit of a random track, and probably the lowest charting on Now 68 as it didn't get into the Top 40. Peter Gelderblom's transformed the Red Hot Chili Peppers 2002 hit 'By The Way' and reached Number 29 in the UK chart.

Akon is next up with 'Dosen't Matter'. I have to admit this isn't a bad tune, but not one I would listen to out of choice. It became his 6th Top 5 hit. Scouting For Girls debut 'She's So Lovely' is next up at 38 and at 37 it's Shayne Ward, who returned with an R&B sound. It was a double A Side with 'If That's OK With You'.

Next up is a track you couldn't get away from in late 2007 from the Plain White T's. 'Hey There Delilah' reached Number 2 in September 2007. Nicole Sherzinger's debut solo single was a collab with will.i.am, and peaked at Number 14. Good job she managed to turn her solo career around after this. One of the biggest club hits from the summer of 2007 is next up courtesy of Freaks. 'The Creeps (Get On The Dancefloor) was given vocals from Stella Attar and became a chart hit in September 2007 peaking at Number 9.

MIKA's third single from his massive debut album 'Life In Cartoon Motion' is next up at 33, and at 32 it's a random McFly hit. 'The Heart Never Lies' was a Top 3 hit for the lads, and rounding off this section it's Enrique Iglesias' ninth Top 20 hit 'Tired Of Being Sorry'.

  9. It's rather simple why they're doing this. Having a new track as the B-Side to 'Oblivion' will encourage fans to download the new song or the EP, so it should get a better chart position than the re-release of 'Bad Blood'. It's basically milking the album and fulfilling the thirst for the fans who want new music at the same time, hence all the fuss about a new song as the B Side.

I think I would prefer another one of his mashup covers to be released instead of 'Oblivion' to be honest.

  10. 'Deep Breath' trailer:

Looking forward to this and I'm glad it's going to be on at a decent time too, starting at 7:50pm. Hope they keep it at that time and not change it every week for no reason what so ever like they have done with previous seasons. It's a pain in the neck when it's on at 7pm one week, 6:30pm the next week, 7:20pm the next week, etc.....

  11. Well, yeah! When you put it that way :P

But I hope PIC stays higher than WLB on pre-ordrs despite getting less R1 rotation, it would be amazing if it snuck #1.

I'm confident Radio 1 will A List Lilly Wood tomorrow, so will have the same level of airplay as Duke Dumont from Monday onwards.

  12. Posted

So the Foo Fighters have announced their 8th studio album. It's going to be called 'Sonic Highways' released on the 10th November 2014.

The album will have nine different covers - one for each of the cities it was recorded in and another 'forever' cover. The eight cities are Chicago, Austin, Nashville, Los Angeles, Seattle, New Orleans, Washington, DC and New York.

    http://www.nme.com/images/gallery/2014FooFighters_SonicHighways_600G110814.jpg

    Sonic Highways' tracklisting:

    1. Something From Nothing

    2. The Feast and the Famine

    3. Congregation

    4. What Did I Do?/God As My Witness

    5. Outside

    6. In the Clear

    7. Subterranean

    8. I Am a River

There's also a trailer for the album too:

I can't wait for this, but only 8 tracks?

  13. At the time this was big, the slow sound kinda bored me. Looking back, it's a nice chillout track, but it still doesn't do much for me, IMO.

This album's special as it was the first NOW I bought when it was new, a few months before NOW 69 was out! 20 volumes later and I'm still collecting the series. Also, this was out when I first joined the original NOW forums, waaaay back in 2007!

My first Now was Now 44 back in 1999 when I was 13 years old. I did join the Now music forums back in 2008, but it was just constantly dead so I never bothered going on there much once I had read all the interesting threads. :P

  14. Not quite - 'Lighthouse' was on Now 80 but that didn't exactly light up the charts so I can understand that being forgotten. :P

I stand corrected. To be honest I can only remember about 10 songs that are on Now 80...and I see what you did there too :P
