  1. A little teaser from Stereophonics on their socials. @1884315703777599920
  2. Also Emma Bunton's 'What Took You So Long' was also a Number 1 single so would be 17 Number 1's with that included.
  3. I don't understand why the OCC can't roll Thursday's streams over to next weeks charts rather than estimating them.
  4. Now Yearbook 1998 plus track list - out 21st Feb https://www.facebook.com/share/p/161hFMJjvQ/?mibextid=K35XfP

Probably had the majority of it's airplay in 2023 on R1.
  7. She's announced a stadium tour for next year so will be a massive year for her
  8. Why did Bop Bop Baby stall at Number 5? It's one of their better songs for me. Was it from an album that had been out for a while already or just a busy chart week?

Changes at BBC Radio 1 include James Cusack taking over weekend breakfast and hosting the show from Manchester. James was first heard on Radio 1 in 2020 as part of Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover and has since covered a wide-range of shows across the station. Also announced today, Jeremiah Asiamah is to cover for Mollie King, joining Matt Edmondson to host the station’s afternoon show. In addition, Maia Beth and Jodie Bryant will cover Mollie’s Radio 1 Future Pop show on rotation. Maia was given her first opportunity to host on the station during the 2021 festive period as part of Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover. From there she has regularly covered Radio 1’s Future Pop and currently presents two shows on Radio 1’s new extension – Radio 1 Anthems. Jodie also came through Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover where she was given the opportunity to host Radio 1’s Future Pop during Christmas 2022. She has since gone on to frequently cover the show whilst also being a regular host for BBC Introducing Sussex and Surrey. Jodie’s keen interest in new music has led her to host and curate a number of live events focussed on championing the very best independent and new music. Presenting duo Sam and Danni will move to a new afternoon show (Friday – Sunday, 1pm-4pm) from weekend breakfast. And finally, Oré Olukoga and Swarzy will join the station to host a brand-new show, Radio 1 Weekend Early Breakfast (Saturday and Sunday, 6am-7am). Oré will present the show on Saturdays and Swarzy on Sundays. Oré was part of Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover 2022 and after trying his hand at hosting Radio 1 Anthems, took over Friday Early Breakfast in 2023 and has since covered various shows on the network. Swarzy currently hosts 1Xtra’s Weekend Breakfast Show on Saturdays, joining the station in 2022 after having previously presented the weekend breakfast show on KISS FM. Aled Haydn Jones says: “Everyone at Radio 1 is thrilled for Mollie as she embarks on this new chapter and we wish her the best of luck on her maternity leave. It’s also an amazing opportunity for Jeremiah, Maia and Jodie who I’m sure will do a brilliant job at covering her shows. “Congratulations to Sam and Danni on their new afternoon show. This is an exciting next step, and I know they’ll bring something special to the slot. “I’m also delighted to welcome three fantastic new presenters to the Radio 1 family and can’t wait for listeners to get to know James, Oré and Swarzy.” https://radiotoday.co.uk/2024/11/bbc-radio-...ters-announced/

As posted on Radio 1’s socials, who would have guessed The Zutons would be back in the live lounge? “In celebration of 25 years of radio 1’s #LiveLounge @thezutonsofficial will be closing #livelouge month performing an extra-special performance of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ and their iconic hit ‘Valerie’ 🫶💕 listen live from 12pm, wednesday 30th october on @bbcsounds”
  11. You forgot Becky Hill’s version.
  12. Looks like we'll have to upscale our prediction  . I'm going to add a one to mine and go to 190k
  13. Increadable sales for them.
  14. Given the fact they almost sold out 10 nights of Wembly just on the presale, which you got the code from per-ordering the album, I'd expect it to be selling hundreds of thousands of copies, but realistically I think 75-100k - probably around the 90k mark. Think 'Music of The Spheres' did around 103k almost exactly three years ago in 2021.
  15. ohh - wonder if it can be their third Top 40 this year? Think 'Good Feeling's could do pretty well too.
  16. ‘We Pray’ physical CD has now been reduced to £2.49, 12” £4.99 with free shipping on UK orders from the bands website.

  18. Great to see Linkin Park do well and for something different in the charts.
  19. Shame to see it flopping, they’re going to have to pull something out the bag to make it a hit. Most of Coldplay’s second singles from their albums end up being a bigger hit than their first (Viva La Vida, Paradise, My Universe, Sky Full of Stars) so would be great to see it continue.

Any Oasis new or unreleased music would have been announced along with the tour yesterday I think.
  21. Exactly my thoughts. Was quite excited about getting the CD until I saw the shipping price was higher then the CD itself, now I'm gutted.
  22. Another Becky Hill Drum N Bass colab is coming this Friday! https://beckyhill.lnk.to/IndestructibleEM..._KJJzzHyo615088
  23. I wonder if with the help of low streams and Burna Boy, Coldplay can do well with 'We Pray' next week?
  24. Coming 23rd August according to Coldplay’s Twitter/X
