  1. Wow! So they are pushing it as a proper single then? I really like it, it sounds great, but not as commercial as POMH or LC. Will be interesting to see if radio pick it up.
  2. I'm not enjoying either as much as C-1 or Hypnogogic on first listen, but hope they grow on me.
  3. Both now available on Apple Music.
  4. One more day left to vote on this :)
  5. From OCC:- https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/g...e-s-day__28656/ Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or not, it’s difficult to avoid revisiting at least a handful of classic love songs when February 14 rolls around. Come on now, don’t deny it. While love is always popular subject in pop, we’re talking about those big numbers of the ballad variety: Celine Dion’s Think Twice. Aerosmith’s I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing. Whitney’s I Will Always Love You. Add to that list Goo Goo Dolls, whose slow burner hit Iris has reached the pinnacle of mega-hit status in the UK as it tops one million pure sales in the UK, with 1.003 million downloads and physical CD sales, according to Official Charts Company data. It’s a rare feat to achieve in 2020, when the preference is often to stream music. Iris’s million-seller status is the latest feat in the song's particularly unique journey. While it was a big hit in the US, Iris missed the Top 40 on the Official UK Singles Chart when it was first released in 1998, debuting at Number 50 in July. A re-release the following year saw it enter the Top 40 for just one week, landing at Number 26. Still, awareness of the song and its popularity steadily grew, and the introduction of downloads into the Official Chart in 2005 gave the song a new lease of life, spending six months in the lower half of the Top 100 between 2006-2007. Iris saw its biggest resurgence in 2011, when it was a popular choice of audition song on The X Factor, notably by finalist Frankie Cocozza, whose rendition during the show’s Bootcamp stage sent it to Number 3 on the Official Singles Chart the following week. Iris has so far managed 22 separate chart runs in the UK appearances in the Official Singles Chart – the last was in 2015 – totalling 92 weeks in the Top 100. Over the past year in the UK, it has been downloaded an average of 148 times a week and streamed around 410,000 times a week, while its music video gets 95,000 plays a week on average. Band frontman John Rzeznik told OfficialCharts.com: "I’m so happy that this song has had such a long life in the UK. Thank you to everyone who gave us this amazing gift." See Goo Goo Dolls full Official Chart history, click on ‘Chart Facts’ to see the stats and week by week chart positions for Iris. Iris - the title of which was inspired by a country singer named Iris DeMent – has, 22 years on, slowly-but-surely earned its place in the love ballads hall of fame. Its unreservedly romantic lyrics such as “you’re the closest to heaven that I’ll ever be” and “I just don’t want to miss you tonight” have made it an extremely popular choice for one particular occasion: never underestimate the power of a wedding song. 6. 'Shakermaker' for me this time.
  7. Time Flies....1994 - 2009 was the second Greatest Hits compilation from Oasis. 'Stop The Clocks' came out in 2006 as the first Greatest Hits album, but only featured 18 tracks which were chosen by Noel Gallagher and came about at the end of their record contract with Sony. Time Flies...1994-2009 got released on the 14th June 2010 containing all 27 singles the band had released between 1994 and 2009 including 'Whatever and 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' which had never appeared on any previous Oasis studio album. 'Sunday Morning Call' is not listed on the official tracklisting, but appears as a hidden track on the end of Disc 2 making it track 14, so I've decided to allow it in the rate. 18. I'm Outta Time - 30% - Tiebreak 64.71% Released as the second single from their seventh and final studio album 'Dig Out Your Soul' on the 1st December 2008. 'I'm Outta Time' was written and performed by Liam Gallagher and features a short speech sample from John Lennon taken from one of his last interviews in 1980. The speech sample says: "As Churchill said, it's every Englishman's inalienable right to live where the hell he likes. What's it going to do, vanish? Is it not going to be there when I get back?". The song peaked at Number 12 in the UK singles chart breaking the bands consecutive Top 10 streak they had built since 1994 lasting 22 singles, and only spent two weeks in the Top 75, the least ever for an Oasis single. This now means we have no more singles left from the bands final album 'Dig Out Your Soul'. R5mFKeL67Dk The chart so far..... 27. Who Feels Love? - 26.83% 26. Lord Don't Slow Me Down - 21.95% 25. 8. I really hope not! Huey Lewis and the News on the other hand...
  9. Brill! Looking forward to these!
  10. It's still a tiebreak
  11. I voted 'D'You Know What I Mean'
  12. So we have a tiebreak on Round 6 and we need you to vote on which of the above two you would like to see leave the process in this round. You have until 2pm tomorrow (Tuesday) to vote. :)
  13. Only one day left to vote and need to get rid of the tiebreak too
  14. Great to see Alan Fitzpatrick getting both versions of ‘Haven’t You Heard’ in the Top 100.
  15. This! Her voice goes through me!
  16. Great remix. Won't do anything but I like it!
  17. Voting 'Shakermaker' again.

Let There Be Love - 42.11% Released as the third and final single from the bands sixth studio album ' Don't Believe The Truth' and peaked at Number 2 in the UK Singles chart in November 2005. It is the fourth Oasis song to feature both Liam and Noel on lead vocals, the first being "Acquiesce", the second being Standing on the Shoulder of Giants track "Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is" and Born on a Different Cloud" from the album Heathen Chemistry. Many critics cited this song as proof that Oasis had returned to the form seen in the mid-1990s. This now leaves just 'The Importance Of Being Idle' as the only track left in the rate representing 'Don't Believe The Truth'. 3TqJa0RZOUc The chart so far... 27. Who Feels Love? - 26.83% 26. 19. I don't think a break in the spin off will do them any harm tbh. Sales will be very low at this time of year so probably doesn't make commercial sense to put anything out. They've already got albums targeted at Valentines Day and Mothers Day, which are the two main events of Q1. The only release I'd like to see would be a Welsh one for St. David's Day with Welsh artists on such as Stereophonics, Manics, Tom Jones, Catatonia, etc...but will most likely be a playlist on their App than a CD release. I did make a Six Nations playtlist on my Apple Music with tracks from all the countries taking part in the tournament, which I can play as a warm up if I have anyone over to watch the game or enjoy on myn own. This could also be a good release if they wanted to try and capitalise on the Rugby fever, but I'm probably helping them scrape the barrel with spin offs at the same time.
  20. Just one more day to get your votes in please. :)

OMG! I'm really looking forward to this! Let's hope the lead single is everything just like 'One More Time' and 'Get Lucky' were!
  22. I'll kick off with 'Shakermaker'.

The Shock Of The Lightning - 25% Released as the lead single from the bands final studio album 'Dig Out Your Soul' which peaked at Number 3 in the UK singles chart in September 2008 becoming the bands first lead single since 'Supersonic' not to reach Number in the UK and their first lead not to go Silver. This now leaves 'I'm Outta Time' as the only track left in the rate from 'Dig Out Your Soul'. 87IQhui_Yy8 20. Go Let It Out - 20% Released as the first track from the bands 2000 album 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants', peaking at Number 1 in the UK singles charts. This now means all 3 singles from Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants' have now been eliminated from the rate already as we get into the Top 20. :o 6X0rOC32AA The chart so far... 27.
