Following his stint with Far From Saints last year, the lead singer of Stereophonics Kelly Jones has announced the release of his solo album 'Inevitable Incredible' on the 3rd May.

Kelly has said on several social media videos that new music from Stereophonics will be released later this year.

Oh yeah I forgot about Angel City’s version. I liked that at the time, I’ll have to dig it out along with the original, I wasn’t aware the Cathy Dennis version was a cover.

Personally I think it’s time GH albums moved over to the compilation charts because that’s what they are a compilation of songs. That would leave the album charts for proper albums.

I wonder if the release strategy will be simular to 'Ghost Stories' - drip a couple of singles between Jan and April and release the album late spring/early summer.

Michael Jackson and David Bowie would be the most obvious ones.

The first Now CD I bought in 2000 was Now 45 and it cost £15.99 from WHSmith, 23 years later and they're around £12 so are probably very well priced given how much everything has gone up in cost over the past few years.

Now need to take note on compiling a strong tracklist. Thought they’d learn their lesson seeing as Now 115 stalled at #2. They should also reduce the price of the current volumes from £12 to £10

 

It comes back to points I've made previously - the current big hits are too expensive to license for them nowadays and given the fact they are now only selling less and less copies with each release, they can't justify the expense.
