  1. Also Emma Bunton's 'What Took You So Long' was also a Number 1 single so would be 17 Number 1's with that included.
  2. It's not really the presenters choice. It's probably the music team trying to keep the station to format for a drivetime audience.

Which one has 3 songs currently in the Top 40 - one of which for practically a year?
  4. I don't understand why the OCC can't roll Thursday's streams over to next weeks charts rather than estimating them.

25k already for Robbie Williams will keep him safe at Number 1 in the albums this week. Will most likely finish the week around 32k.
  6. Now Yearbook 1998 plus track list - out 21st Feb https://www.facebook.com/share/p/161hFMJjvQ/?mibextid=K35XfP

Great to see Franz Ferdinand Number 1 at at this point, but unless they push hard they'll most likely lose out to Chappel Roan.

Hopefully Selena will go back to Number 1. Anything beats Elton John. Really don't understand how it streams so well to be consistently in the Top 20 his music's not that good.

Probably had the majority of it's airplay in 2023 on R1.

Coldplay and Taylor Swift have both managed it this year to name just two. Imagine the sales figures if had they held off to releasing their albums in December.

Most of the Christmas and New Year period will be anthems shows and they'll probably up the amount of Christmas songs over the weekend and early next week to Christmas so there's no real need to update it really.

It's really sad but the executives in charge have nobody but themselves to blame.

Tom Grennan looking to get a second solo Top 10 thanks to the power of Amazon. What's helped Taylor Swift return to the top of the albums?

Wonder if the Sleigh list will return this year. With it being December on Sunday we could see it back next week?
  16. She's announced a stadium tour for next year so will be a massive year for her
  17. Why did Bop Bop Baby stall at Number 5? It's one of their better songs for me. Was it from an album that had been out for a while already or just a busy chart week?

They didn't support Dua Lipa's follow ups to 'Houdini' either - just kept spamming Houdini instead.

Not sure if this is the right place for it, but Zoe Ball has announced she is standing down on Radio 2 Breakfast next month with Scott Mills set to take over in January. Really pleased for Scott after missing out on Radio 1 breakfast and I think he could be on R2 breakfast for years. Trevor Nelson to take afternoons 2-4pm and DJ Spoony on lates 10pm-12midnight.

Changes at BBC Radio 1 include James Cusack taking over weekend breakfast and hosting the show from Manchester. James was first heard on Radio 1 in 2020 as part of Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover and has since covered a wide-range of shows across the station. Also announced today, Jeremiah Asiamah is to cover for Mollie King, joining Matt Edmondson to host the station’s afternoon show. In addition, Maia Beth and Jodie Bryant will cover Mollie’s Radio 1 Future Pop show on rotation. Maia was given her first opportunity to host on the station during the 2021 festive period as part of Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover. From there she has regularly covered Radio 1’s Future Pop and currently presents two shows on Radio 1’s new extension – Radio 1 Anthems. Jodie also came through Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover where she was given the opportunity to host Radio 1’s Future Pop during Christmas 2022. She has since gone on to frequently cover the show whilst also being a regular host for BBC Introducing Sussex and Surrey. Jodie’s keen interest in new music has led her to host and curate a number of live events focussed on championing the very best independent and new music. Presenting duo Sam and Danni will move to a new afternoon show (Friday – Sunday, 1pm-4pm) from weekend breakfast. And finally, Oré Olukoga and Swarzy will join the station to host a brand-new show, Radio 1 Weekend Early Breakfast (Saturday and Sunday, 6am-7am). Oré will present the show on Saturdays and Swarzy on Sundays. Oré was part of Radio 1’s Christmas Takeover 2022 and after trying his hand at hosting Radio 1 Anthems, took over Friday Early Breakfast in 2023 and has since covered various shows on the network. Swarzy currently hosts 1Xtra’s Weekend Breakfast Show on Saturdays, joining the station in 2022 after having previously presented the weekend breakfast show on KISS FM. Aled Haydn Jones says: “Everyone at Radio 1 is thrilled for Mollie as she embarks on this new chapter and we wish her the best of luck on her maternity leave. It’s also an amazing opportunity for Jeremiah, Maia and Jodie who I’m sure will do a brilliant job at covering her shows. “Congratulations to Sam and Danni on their new afternoon show. This is an exciting next step, and I know they’ll bring something special to the slot. “I’m also delighted to welcome three fantastic new presenters to the Radio 1 family and can’t wait for listeners to get to know James, Oré and Swarzy.” https://radiotoday.co.uk/2024/11/bbc-radio-...ters-announced/

Was flicking round on the way home and heard Katy Perry feat. Doechii - ‘I'M HIS, HE'S MINE’ on Heart. Sounded abit out of place to me but looks like they’ve added it.
