Tinea Taylor is to host BBC Radio 1’s Friday early breakfast slot during March, as part of a monthly rotation. Tinea joins Radio 1 from KISS FM where she hosted the Hype Charts and presented on their sister station, Kisstory. Following his stint with Far From Saints last year, the lead singer of Stereophonics Kelly Jones has announced the release of his solo album 'Inevitable Incredible' on the 3rd May. Matt Edmondson and Mollie King are moving to host the 1.00 – 3.30pm afternoon show, Monday to Thursday on BBC Radio 1 from July. Who will replace them in their current slot, Friday to Sunday afternoons will be announced soon. Mollie will continue to host Radio 1’s Future Pop at the new time of 8.00 – 10.00pm every Wednesday. In other schedule changes, Katie Thistleton will join Vick Hope and Jamie Laing to co-host the new Going Home on Radio 1, 3.30 – 6.30pm Monday to Thursday, starting on Monday 4 March. Dean McCullough will host Early Breakfast, 5.00 – 7.00am, Monday – Thursday which will move from London, to be broadcast live from Salford in July. Arielle Free, who currently presents Early Breakfast, will remain at Radio 1 to host a new Dance Show on Thursdays at 8.00pm from the end of April. It’ll fall as the week goes on. The record company should have put out more tracks from the album before release. I don’t get why albums are rushed out these days for them to debut and instantly fall away and the era forgotten about. Surely it would be better to try and get as much out of the album as possible. The album charts are nothing but a total joke these days.

As the BBC are needing to make budget cuts, they are unable to match the offers the commercial sector are offering, hence them losing people as they follow up he money. If Jordan has jumped over to Capital, I bet he’s been offered mega bucks. I’d expect more of the story to start unfolding this week, if not tomorrow.

Calvin’s songs usually climb to their peak so hopefully it will climb in the coming weeks.
