Ave Mujica - Completeness A 7-track album consisting of new songs featured in the show Ave Mujica - The Die Is Cast. An impressive collection with back-to-back heavy hitters, realising the potential of music that can be made for the fictional act/band project. JADE - THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY! The most hyped debut from the Little Mix member that went solo, and it delivers. I'll leave much of the comments to others, they will do a better job writing about this album than I do. Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer A bright and highly digital debut album somewhat reminiscent of late 2000's and early 2010's electronic and alternative, it's got high energy bonkers of tracks such as 'F My Computer' and 'Infohazard'. Sleep Token - Even In Arcadia This fourth album brought Sleep Token to a bigger audience as their previous works gained them a sizable following. I am one of the people that have largely positive experiences about 'Even In Arcadia'. sombr - I Barely Know Her Going beyond viral TikTok success with one song, the first body of work showcases huge promise from the now established upstart with his fresh blend of 2000's indie and pop. I could mention more albums but it might get numerous and frankly they're not even my favourites of my favourites. Five will do.

Feels strange to be part of this with only one song, but it's an honour nevertheless especially on the upcoming Podium 2025 playlist (I'm sure that's happening). 😅

The Remi Wolf oversight was partly my responsibility. What's worse is that I was even in that edition. I hope that didn't cause any discouragement or anything. 😔 I'm curious whether the outcome would've changed or remained the same. I had a quick look at the votes the second day to ensure I didn't reveal the winner too early, other than that, the major droughts were something I didn't plan at all. I was doing my results acting less like a host (not knowing who wins beforehand) and more a mere participant, didn't imagine I would, by mere accident, cause a few songs at the top to go the way they went (and a lot of pain to their entrants 🫣). By the way, I had not checked for new records. Who made new peak positions this time? Somebody do it pls. ✌

7!! 'Orange' holds a lot of weight for me after seeing Your Lie In April (in one April ) and being reminded of that show again. I thought the song was familiar at first, it's been some years. Albemuth 'To the new world' on the other hand was a recent discovery a couple months while looking for virtual and fictional girl (fascinating stuff) pop songs to enter. Big effect of KPop Demon Hunters. It sounded like a calling, with a tempo change and a key change (and a high quality art music video) and had to go for that regardless of results. I have a habit of trying different things so I don't even know what I'll go for next time. Also, I've already won the last PFSC, there's no need to win again (would be nice to have placed higher though), that might be too greedy... Very late edit: Thanks to everyone that gave my emotionally stirring (to me) pure pop points!

Oh, there's actually more one thing then it's truly done ... As tradition for the winner, they are going to perform live in front of the fans. This is the... Winning Concert ... Thank you for putting up with me likening song contests to (horse) races at some points and being generally kind to my ridiculous theme and the results.

I guess I should probably take some confidence that the past contests could've have late vote deductions applied to some songs. This is not a unique case or anything but I won't be lying If I say am under some panic and anxiety that I make a mistake or unintentionally disappoint people that wanted a different song to win. Especially when I ordered the entries reveal yesterday, the KKB and Sandra drought today was a complete accident, but it made for a strangely fun watch... like a race! I was losing my composure when I wrote that. No additional deductions that were not announced (that's not cool for anyone to do anyway)! At the end of the day, song contests are (for me) like a collaborative playlist and a celebration of music from different places. I get that it's a "contest" but I am glad to have come across a lot of tracks throughout the years!
