  1. Great video for Drunk............apparently that cat is a bit of a Hollywood supercat - was in Pirates of the Caribbean and the last Bond movie !! Yes, the girl is Ed`s gf........Nina Nesbitt, Scottish singer/writer and rather talented. He`s just released the first track (for free) from the EP he made over New Year with US rappers............with Yeowolf. Not a fan of rap but the combo works well. http://hulkshare.com/5w6269y3edcm

Ed Sheeran`s next single Drunk - released around February I believe could well give him his first No 1................one of the best tracks from the album.

True, their popularity is slowly declining, but the phenomenal success of Ed Sheeran restores ones faith in British talent. The guy is amazing.

Being picked up by a new record label was always going to be a gamble. I guess their X Factor fanbase moved on long ago. I think their future lies not in music but in kids tv.
  10. Matt got a boost from performing at the NTAs last night - back up to No 20.

Matt back up to No 5 - he must be doing well on physicals then because he`s dropped to No 10 on iTunes.

Great news. Has he actually sold more than Shayne Ward did, who was very popular in Ireland ?

Matt seems to be holding up quite well - don`t X Factor singles usually plummet around this time ?

Any info on Matt this week please Mikey ?
  15. Yeah, well done Matt - good choice of single for him. He must be on over 850k now (over 950k including sales in Ireland).

And why are you so negative about him ? Give the bloke a chance can`t you. He cannot be compared to Joe or Leon............he is more mature, is a musician and has a track record of writing decent songs.

I think it was rather a good choice - totally different from the usual cheesy winner`s single - slightly over-produced in parts, but then he was never going to be allowed to do a stripped back accoustic version. It does confirm the direction that Matt wants to take with his music though. I think if he is allowed to take his band on board with him and write his own album then the future looks good. He is capable of writing good songs - we know that (well those who have heard Seven Summers do and some of the lyrics he writes are pretty damn good).
