Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the normal version and the "alternative mix" on the single? It is 9 seconds longer than the original but besides that cannot work out the difference!

There was a queue of 2000 this morning for 500 wristbands at 8am! Far more this evening when he actually arrived, South Shields was supposedly crammed to the rafters. But the sales figures are likely to have been mirrored across the NE as a whole.

On North East Tonight just now, it said 8000 copies of Joe’s single were sold at HMV in South Shields today, expect to sell 20,000 by Saturday. Figures look immense! If a quarter of that success is repeated in 100 other stores/supermarkets, he will have sold over 200,000 copies today alone!

RATM lead is quite incredible. I think Joe's sales will skyrocket today however, just been to my local Morrisons and they are stocking the single and they can't get them on the shelves quickly enough. Of course that could be because I live about 3 miles from South Shields...

This Week's Summary Will.i.am scores a tremendous double this week as he reaches the top of the Artists of the Week Chart and the All-Time Artists Chart after having 3 singles in the Top 20, and an album at #2. 3 Words with Cheryl Cole reaches #2 in the singles chart which gives him the edge over the rest of his Black Eyed Peas friends, who are consequently pushed down to #2 in the All-Time list by Will.i.am himself. Cheryl Cole moves up a massive 3 places in the All-Time list and 4 places in the Weekly list as she takes the first 2 places on the singles chart this week. However, she still lags behind the Black Eyed Peas almost 100 points in the All-Time list. Elsewhere there are new Christmas entries in the Top 10 from Mariah Carey and The Pogues and Kirsty Maccoll at #8 and #10 respectively. Westlife hit #4 with their new album Where We Are, whilst Susan Boyle remains Number 1 with I Dreamed A Dream, but her single of the same name leaves the Number 1 spot and the chart altogether after just 1 week. Elsewhere, Cheryl Cole and Alexandra Burke and FloRida both slip a place in the singles charts with Fight For This Love at #2 and Bad Boys at #3 respectively. Lady GaGa rises 6 places to #10 with Bad Romance, as well as entering with Beyoncé at #24 with Telephone and The Fame entering the album chart at #3, making her #3 in the Artists of the Week Chart. Although the Black Eyed Peas slip one place in the Artists of the Week Chart to #2, they remain on top in the All-Time Artists Charts and have opened up a gap of 81 points on JLS, who move up 1 place to #2, 3 points ahead of Leona Lewis in #3. If Cheryl and the gang actually sing with Joe, and he is supposed to be the contestant and she the judge, it's hardly fair on the other finalists is it? I know that Joe is her act and I would absolutely love to see it, but I don't think it would be right allowing Cheryl herself to sing in a contestants performance. She has mass appeal right now and unless they get somebody uber-excellent for the other finalists, Joe would just walk it. Unless she stays out of it and just gets her "friends" to help him.
