  1. Anyone catch their Glastonbury performance? And will they ever get a top ten single?
  2. i remember it well :D
  3. Me too, thoroughly enjoyed The White Stripes and Daft Punk plus many other bands.

I'm a huge Daft Punk fan and I'm enjoying this.
  5. Only two singles have debuted at number 7 in the last 15 months - Sewn by The Feeling and Standing In The Way Of Control (re-release) by The Gossip.

I could be wrong but we don't see that many giant leaps up the chart at the moment.

Single would need b-sides/video etc. but it's been said before Or is it just that IDFLD has had too much attention/sales while the following singles were never going to get a chance?
  8. Are you talking about The In Sound From Way Out? Didn't affect their career at all! Have not heard anything about their new album yet though.
  9. You K Gold haven't complained
  10. Ok then I thought that was an EP... 're-release' then lol... credit to the Fratellis for not re-releasing anything though :)

It's clear to me Everybody Wants The Same Thing should be the fifth single, what with Live8 and all. Let's have a conclusion to the theme running through the singles from this era..
  12. Still waiting for Creepin Up The Backstairs and Flathead to be released as singles
  13. Not deleting singles would help, although we are not hearing much about that at the moment
  14. i'm sure some people have a few words to say about the lovely amy studt - all i wanna do, seemed to stall the first chapter of her music career a little. http://images.contactmusic.com/images/artist/amystudtap.jpg
  15. Must be a regional thing then... was a bit frustrated I had to buy two vinyls at £2.99 each online when they'd be 99p each in-store in HMV.

 But there's still one remaining person in the lift (on the album sleeve) who needs to feature on a single sleeve ;)
  17. White Stripes - Icky Thump (all three formats) :D ^A curious release from an album that has been out for a good couple of years now. Possibly White Stripes-related?!
  18. Indeed, vinyls are still popular so I'm surprised that my local HMV (Middlesbrough) would stop selling 7" & 12" singles (Virgin Meg. still sell 12")
  19. The Prodigy - I own all 17(?) UK CD singles + 5 albums (excluding 'The Dirtchamber Sessions' which wasn't Prodigy material!) Spice Girls (not solo) - I thought I owned every CD (singles + albums) but haven't got 'Holler' and 'Let Love Lead The Way' for some reason :o Art Brut - all five CD singles + the album (will get new single + album this month)
  20. Just been into my local HMV and Virgin Megastore, only to be told they no longer sell 7" singles - has this happened to anyone else? (So I ordered them online) Maybe it's just my area, but I find it surprising that the two big singles retailers are no longer stocking the 7" - is this another nail in the coffin for physicals?

Thanks Simon, I think the ones you picked out are all regularly played on Radio 1 which I have been listening to recently and has influenced my chart somewhat.
  22. As they are my favourite band, I'm inclined to say I love the song and the idea but no, I don't think you have to buy the second part to feel any completion; however I admire the Stripes past marketing tactics of "3 for £3" as well as live downloads and special tour CD-Rs with full artwork..
  23. Timbaland - Give It 2 Me Now 66 :D

the single needed a b-side, video track, etc. tbh
