It's a shame Bow Wow Wow had so few top 40 hits as from the songs I have heard from them they seem like such a fun and wacky band, this and 'Go Wild In The Country' are both great imo, but alas I'd need to be less lazy and seek out more of their songs of my own volition rather than waiting for them to pop up at the weekly SyncTubes haha.
Bowie is a great pick for #1 of that batch anyway ofc, poor Kelly Marie deserves more than a 4 though, naff in a fun way for me!

So from the Tyler album... the song that charted the highest officially, the song that is currently the highest on Spotify, the song pushed to Hot Hits UK, the song that got a music video and the song that's appeared on the Radio 1 playlist are 5 different songs...! (edit: technically not true now as 'Ring Ring Ring' has been boosted ahead of 'Sugar On My Tongue' on Spotify but it was true when the playlist dropped x)
The one that's been playlisted here is my favourite song from the album so taste (I guess they're omitting the 'Tweakin'' half of it though) but 'Ring Ring Ring' certainly would have made more sense, if any song from the album might actually catch on beyond the first day hype it'll probably be that one.
(Tyler is misspelt in the OP btw x)
Good to see JADE finally A-Listed and the moves up for Interplanetary Criminal and SZA as well ~ Not sure what dirt David Guetta has on them for them to be A-Listing this song that I don't think anyone cares about though!

It is a new album's worth of material, it's just inheriting the chart run of the previously released... album? EP? 'mini album'? Not sure what you would call it, because it's been tacked on to the end rather than released entirely separately. Which also means it continues to benefit from the streams of the previously released songs.
It's also the first time the album has appeared in the physical album chart top 100, although the OCC website does list it as having 11 weeks on the chart which I think includes weeks at #101-200 which we can't see, in any case very few people will have owned 'Part 1' physically so it might as well be a new physical release.
(Not to say I was expecting much higher numbers for it, I think 20k is pretty respectable, much like I thought Benson's album sales were ok)

The PARTYNEXTDOOR solo song was one of the most streamed songs from the album so yes it definitely was starred out - I don't think I worded what I was saying very well, I mean I'm not sure if it was starred out because it counted to Drake's 3 track rule (or conversely that 'NOKIA' and 'GIMME A HUG' counted to PND's) or just because they applied a 3 track rule to the album specifically and if so whether that would also count towards Drake and/or PND's individual 3 song rules. If they had other songs not from the album that would be charting at the same time that'd provide some insight.
(I had forgotten that there was only one PND solo song)

I wonder if it's possible they just considered that entire album (including PARTYNEXTDOOR solo songs) to have Drake as the primary artist. Wouldn't know unless there was another PARTYNEXTDOOR song that would be in the top 100 that got starred out (or not).
(or maybe they just apply rules ad hoc depending on how they feel on any given week - yeah it's probably that)

A little disappointed that Tyler missed out on both the #1 album and any top 40 singles - I was kind of anticipating it with how sharply he dropped off on streaming but aw 'Big Poe' coming so close, most likely a rare example of a song that will actually be missing its only chance to go top 40 due to being a midweek release. Nevermind, album is a banger anyway, that's the general public's loss x (and was fun to hear the title track of the album getting the clip during the top 5 albums rundown as that is my initial favourite song from it!) Can't begrudge Alex Warren the #1 album though as much as I've found his hits to mostly be middling at best, just a shame Tyler missed out because of his proclivity for midweek album drops.
Excellent to see 'Paranoid' making the top 40 though ❤️ did hope it would be safe to do so considering it was already streaming pretty well after the farewell concert, hopefully can stick around next week too. 'Crazy Train' coming close to its original peak (maybe a chance it could still beat it next week?) and 2 more Sabbath classics making their top 100 debuts is all good stuff too, quite a week for 20th century rock with Iggy Pop also having a top 100 entry plus the lingering Oasis hits.

I think they internally consider all songs from soundtrack albums to have the soundtrack itself as their 'primary artist' for deciding on the 3 track rule regardless of how the songs are actually credited - for example, when Lady Gaga released 'CHROMATICA' it didn't cause 'Shallow' to be starred out because the OCC consider the artist to be 'A Star Is Born soundtrack' rather than Gaga.

Yes this contest gets the BJSC spinoff widget, I'll nudge Joseph x (I think there may be a few other song contest widgets which haven't been added yet but it's more annoying to check in the new site unfortunately! Will need to do some digging x)
Just had a vague memory that Mulgracia's Cosmic Gate (BJFest IV winner) went through AC, checked and it did indeed - don't know if that's the only one or not!

Oooh a very close finish there - the whole top 3 is the same as my own top 3 but in reverse order anyway so we stan the taste, well done @!!! on I believe your first song contest win anywhere on the site! I should perhaps have had a little more insight on that being a contender because it won the semi-final I hosted by a pretty wide margin actually but could always have just been a good draw for it x We love to see Rico Nasty completing her journey from tanking when I sent her to now being a contest winner *.* Yay for Nuovo Testamento managing a great result here, shall still be keeping an eye out for them to eventually make an appearance in the main contest ~ + yasss at Cannelle on the podium and nice at Vendredi Sur Mer making the top 5 as well after both coming through AC, my only real complaint here is ADÉLA really should have done a bit better, must have been a fair few poppier countries who didn't vote I guess x

US Hot 100 – 07/26/2025
in International Charts
As much as I love the song, why on Earth is 'WILDFLOWER' still being allowed to chart? It's now more than a month past even the 52/25 recurrency rule...! (I have noticed Billboard are being very lenient on the recurrency rules of late, they must have a very low bar for reasons to grant exemptions).
