    Hendinia's national record surpasses Aeroche's so they now have the sole 2nd longest qualification streak, and their broken streak of 42 now matches the consecutive record set by FSR Rontvia, so if (when) Hendinia's next entry qualifies it'll officially be the first time ever that a country has had 43 consecutive entries appear in a final! Not much else going on with national records, Cumulonimbia and Summericia both continue to expand their records, while Abeltesfayeton hope to start their first streak as they're on the board for the first time after DNQing with each of their first 3 entries. The Spodic Empire unfortunately tanked their opening run by not entering this month so we shall never know how long they could have kept it going (although they can still expand their initial broken streak should they see fit to return again in the future).

     

    Altyr Muunilinst make it a top 5 who have made every final for 2 years straight again, while Jadakissnia are left stranded as the only country with a streak anywhere from 7 to 19. The number of countries who have appeared in every final of the year so far drops from 9 to just 6 as FSR Rontvia, Lotunia and République d'Áskorza all faltered for the first time in the year.

    Dw I haven't forgotten, I'm just lazy :whistle: I started working on making a new thread last night but was too sleepy to finish it, it will be up tonight. And yes we're doing a 3 in 1 poll this time :cheeseblock: (but one of those weeks only has 3 songs in it - all 3 combined actually still have fewer songs than just the Eurovision week in fact x)

     

    I got the results of the July monthly round added up last night and #spoilers it is extremely close between 3rd and 5th! Results up alongside the new poll later B-)

    I'll take a Cadelicia win over an Aesthetica one (especially as it'd be a first time win) although 'Indian Summer' is still wayyy better than both of the subsequent Jai Wolf entries so I'll be a bit gutted at it remaining his least successful entry :kink:

     

    Obviously if FLJ can niche themselves to a win that'd be wonderful but I don't think it'll quite do enough to be in the mix, I think low top 10.

     

    I think Thelonia's chances are also being a bit underrated (although I also think it's probably more likely a low top 5 or so than a winner)

    Boy Better Know - Too Many Man briefly in the lyrics is the only thing I've ever been able to spot

     

    I'd say that's more just a reference than a sample (I suppose it is technically a very brief interpolation but it feels like it would be nitpicking to include it on this list, you may as well include 'When I Was Your Man' for 'Flowers' by the same logic). No idea how you get to the song having '4 or 5' samples, the only other one listed on whosampled.com is just a baby cooing sound effect lol.

     

    edit: Genius does list 5 songs (6 including 'Sprinter (Demo)' lmao) that 'Sprinter' "interpolates", including 'Too Many Man', but I think they must all just be brief lyrical references or possibly borrowed flows. The other 4 are just 1 past song each from Dave and Cench ('Titanium' and 'LA Leakers Freestyle') and then 2 other Skepta songs ('Rescue Me' and 'Simple Life'). Out of those the only one I can immediately identify is 'Rescue Me' which is mentioned just before the 'Too Many Man' line but it's even more of a stretch to call that an interpolation.

     

    Nothing inherently wrong with samples but it does feel like a disproportionate number of hits of late lean far too heavily on them and put barely any effort into putting a spin on the original. David Guetta's last couple of hits being the absolute nadir of that.
