    Decided to finally add in my DNQ positions as well since I have no final position to add this time x Satisfyingly have at least one of every DNQ position from 16 down to 28 and nothing lower. (Checked and I have also had at least one of every position in the top 15 for semi-final results - in fact at least 2 of each). Of course DNQ positions of 16-20 are not currently actually achievable so good thing I filled them in while they were :magic:

    Fun stats: this is Thelonia's first semi-final win :magic: doing so with their 71st entry. There are 5 countries who have entered more times without ever winning a semi-final (East Rukahavian 103, Singerpurear 101, Tartford 97 and more surprisingly Dobago 78 and Oslol 76). Only 2 countries before have taken longer to get a first semi-final win - another surprise that that record is held by Trifoski who didn't win a semi-final until their 86th entry (DJ Sabrina The Teenage DJ et al. in BJSC 136), while Harmonica did it with their 83rd entry (Still Corners in BJSC 147).

     

    Altyr Muunilinst, on the other hand, get their 12th semi-final win which ties them for the third most ever. FSR Rontvia also have 12, Hendinia have 13 and Aeroche lead with 16.

    What I would really like to know is if I am any country's biggest fan?

     

    Obviously I am too much of a flop to be at the top of any country's Points Given but a country's success has no bearing on whether you would be at the top of anyone else's Points Received list - I enter very consistently and for getting close to half my time on this earth (wtf) so I've dished out a few points in my time.

     

    Had to think for a moment to find a clever way to search my spreadsheet for this but if I've done the spreadsheet magic correctly it appears you are the biggest fan of 2 countries - Cumulonimbia (who you've given 347 points) and, er, Euphoriffith (20 points) who it's best not to think about too much #iykyk.

     

    Quickly checked the same for myself out of interest and I'm the biggest fan of 3 countries - Jadakissnia obvz (789 points), you (376 points) and Pestolia (79 points).

    Final scoreboard verified now, was all right already after the Harmonica votes correction!

     

    You had jury votes 7 and 8 both listed as Kluminican Republic but I see from the spreadsheet the 2nd one was Aeroche so just sneakily edited that :jump:

     

    Gotta love Meekul giving 1 point to the song he was supposedly going to send next month :cheeseblock:

    ...and yet it won the semi ahead of Kathaldazia! Clearly something about it wasn't completely connecting with the pop bloc nations particularly from semi 2 though (not that 13th is a terrible result or anything but definitely deserved better, though me liking a pop song enough to give it high points is probably always a red flag that there's something about it that won't play well to the pop bloc. Maybe too much of the appeal is in the production rather than the melody and whatnot).

     

    Out of curiosity Bre what is the highest scoring song in a semi-final?

     

    Technically 278 points for Rhys - Too Good To Be True (Altyr Muunilinst 100) although BJSC 100 warps those stats due to using the 18 point system in the semis - ignoring that contest the highest is 186 points for The Naked And Famous - Higher (Cor Lupus 87). (Adjusting the points from the BJSC 100 semis to the 12 point system Rhys got the equivalent of 145 points).

     

    Maybe Brer could tell us if Magic is the shortest winning song (2 minutes and 18 seconds).

     

    According to Jade's handy Spotify playlist of the winners, it is the shortest at least out of those available on Spotify, surpassing Nora En Pure's 'Wetlands' (2:24). There are a few missing from the list though and not sure if some songs might have had shorter versions linked in the contest so can't say 100% for sure without digging into it more but probably yes.

    Wow that was a massive jury win for Cadelicia to rise all the way to 2nd!! Mildly a shame it knocked Thelonia out of the top 3 but they were next to each other in my votes (7 and 6 points), so either way one of the two would have been the only one of the top 3 I voted for, better to have that be 2nd than 3rd I suppose ~ Cadelicia now joining the 'multiple silvers with no golds' club though gah! Just as Kath leaves the 2 win club, all the people getting a 2nd win recently seem to be very rapidly following it with a 3rd :lol: does no one want to stay with me on 2 :snif:

     

    Congrats to Kath for another pretty big win anyhoo (as has been clear for a while but you never know), I wish the song would have clicked with me a bit more but hey I gave 18 to your last winner at least! This one is still solid, was ranked 22nd for me, that's just quite low by the lofty standards of Kathaldazia entries. Definitely here for more Kath hosting if you will be up for returning to hosting duties again so soon :thinking:

     

    The jury dropped me down to only voting for 5 of the top 10 but that's still not bad, really pleased that Neliönoir smashed their previous best out of the water here in particular. A bit sad that Yehesi missed out so narrowly with what is maybe my favourite entry ever from them and likewise Altyr also with one of their best but yanno #brercurse. Donna Missal's previous entry also came 13th so I guess that is her unlucky number :magic:

     

    Beaverdonia top 15 is also a great result, Lotunia barely avoiding the bottom 10 in the end though :snif: the absolute tease of the early results.

    Aw I've not really been following Dobago but I would have hoped for that one to do a little better.

     

    Kilo Kish was a runaway winner in the PopJustice contest, I'm not surprised it didn't contend here though, Kilo Kish has been entered a few times over there and has a much better track record than her entries here.

    (definitely at least a couple of other times too, I think Lookylion were the last to do it - it's not particularly rare for AQs to come last since they don't have to rely on getting through a semi)
